   Easter brunch was a terrible experience. We had to wait 40 minutes even though we had a reservation. Everyone else was experiencing the same thing. The restaurant was so crowded we could barely walk. When we did finally get seated, we had no silverware. After 15 minutes we had to ask for silverware and drinks. The buffet items were not being refilled. So many empty items. There were no clean plates available. This was a very disappointing experience. Not worth the $45.99/pp.

   A dinner at Churrascos is always great, and the River Oaks location is not an exception to the greatness of their food. The salad with oranges, goat cheese, candied nuts and and a super tasty dressing was a perfect start. I wanted a bowl of seafood bisque but knew I would be eating a lot more food, so next was their house specialty “Churrascos” steak. It is so delicious, cooked perfectly and is different than other fine dining steakhouses. The vegetable plate that comes with the steak includes really tasty carrots, zucchini, fried yuca, fried cheese like I have had in Brazil, soft and sweet plantains and my favorite rice anywhere. Finish the meal with my favorite tres leches ever, and you have had a wonderful meal! The cocktail and wine menu is great too. If you haven’t been here before, or if it’s been awhile, try Churrascos and you will be happy that you did!

   Everyone’s food was delicious and presented beautifully. I got the scallops and substituted the side to be their mushroom risotto and it was amazing.

   Showed up at 7 on a Thursday. Basically had the whole restaurant to ourselves. There was a large party in a private room but they had doors closed and another table in the main dining area. Services was good but not great. The waiter barely spoke English. He didn’t understand what we asked for and brought us extra food we didn’t intend to order. He said he would remove it from our ticket. We were offered a free desert as a birthday gift since it was my birthday dinner but that also was on our ticket at the end. They did remove both items at the end with no issue. We waited over 30 minutes for our food even though we were the only table eating. But that could just be expected for steakhouse. The food (NY strip medium and Paella) was fantastic and will be going back again.

   Overall good experience. My steak was a little dry and after main course was served. Server took longer to come around. Otherwise a good experience.

   People are missing out if they are not enjoying Churrascos on a regular basis! We celebrated the kick off of Spring Break 2025 with our family and enjoyed everything about our meal. From the plaintains to start to the tres leches for dessert, what delicious food coupled with exceptional service. I expected to see the dining room full…unfortunately it wasn’t; but it should be on a regular basis. Come on people! Go to Churrascos NOW!
