He returned to the Honolulu food scene after a decade, reopening his popular restaurant, Bocconcino, which is both a mozzarella factory, cafe, deli, and market. Chef Donato is known for his dedication to authentic Italian cuisine and his commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients, particularly mozzarella, which he makes in-house at Bocconcino.

    So beautiful!! It’s worth the price of admission!! The music was fun. Setting is unbelievable. Food and drinks were great. Michael, our waiter, was fun and so attentive!! Loved the experience!!

    Excellent meal all around. From the moment we walked up to the hostess to the moment we left everything and everyone was top notch. As a Kona resident, this has been my favourite restaurant for many many years. I’m already looking forward to my next time here.
