TENrei: The Art of Tuna Ceremony at Los Mochis London City is an immersive 10-course, 12-seater experience led by Executive Head Chef. The unveiling of a whole, uncut tuna, starts the ceremony, followed by an intricate, skilful breakdown using traditional Japanese knives, where Chef Tanyag guides guests through each step of the process, from expertly filleting the fish to detailing the unique techniques and flavours of each cut, including coveted sections like otoro (fatty belly), chutoro (medium-fat), and akami (lean). Each stage is a celebration of Japanese culinary art, where guests sample the tuna’s freshest cuts immediately as they are prepared. Available every second and fourth Tuesday of each month. *Subject to availability.

Great location with interesting food. Portion are on the smallish side especially when compared to prices and I would focus more on the Mexican menu items which were great. Sushi was average. Feels like a great place for drinks more than a foodie’s den.

The overall experience was poor- as soon we arrived the doorman questioned dress code, bearing in mind it was one of the hottest days of the year. That when we were seated, other diners were dressed more casual than we were. The management said we were more than fine. Drinks took ages to come and other diners were complaining throughout our meal. A waiter cracked a plate and didn’t apologise for the debris which went everywhere. Very poor experience

I visited the city location on Saturday night , and unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations due to poor service. After being seated, Our server appeared attentive and engaged, but when we raised a couple of issues , these were dismissed. One of out party had ordered a frozen cocktail, but this did not arrived with the round of drinks ordered for the table as a whole. Three times we asked a server in a blue jacket, and finally saw our server to chase. We were then told that there was an issue with the ice maker and that was causing the delay. I understand restaurants can get busy, but the lack of communication and attentiveness made the experience disappointing. We had also ordered the £75 12 piece chefs choice sushi. I understand that we were leaving the chef to choose, but at least 6 pieces were the same fish. We only had two prawns and two salmon .. We pointed this out our server, who merely shrugged and advised us that is the chefs choice . Very very dissatisfied for 12 pieces of sushi at the price point. Overall we had a nice evening, but for a £700 plus dinner we did not expect to walk away disappointed. The server did comp us a round of drinks, but for an advertised premium product, and price point, we expected premium service.

Attended Saturday afternoon for a late lunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Stated it was her birthday & we were seated outside on veranda. Which was perfect as it was a beautiful sunny day. Our server was very attentive and polite. Food was impressive. The cocktails impeccable. Overall 10/10 Thank you

Fantastic food and cocktails in lovely setting. Only thing that lets this place down is the service. We were either pestered for our order, or left for 30 minutes with empty glasses. We seemed to have several different waiters (3-4), in addition to those who brought the food to the table. Not the end of the world but slightly affected the overall experience.

We really enjoyed our meal at your restaurant however I felt we was rushed the food arrived as we ordered it and the bar was so packed we couldn’t move before our table as we was so rushed with the food we was finished way before we expected so thought we could have a drink in the bar area but was told there was no room. The food was excellent service good but a few mistakes esp with drinks. However a nice experience .

I have been to Los Mochis in Notting Hill, and loved the food so much I wanted to return, even though we had very poor service. Los Mochis London City was no different. Even though the food is amazing, the service really leaves a lot to be desired. We visited for my Dad's 60th birthday, I had emailed previously, and asked on arrival for a good table with a view or outside. We were told on arrival there were no tables available, when there clearly were. After my sister spoke to a manager we were moved to a table outside, but this was when we were half way through eating. The food and drinks are very expensive in this restaurant, which would be worth it as the good is so good, and every thing is gluten free. However the service lets the place down, and made us feel short changed. I would probably not recommend or visit again after this.
