Owner Donnette Hansen's attention to detail is reflected in everything from the comfortable refined log cabin setting & landscaped grounds to the seasonally changing menus. Insider's tip: go for the business lunch ($19 for three courses). Sophisticated but not stuffy! Menu hits include elk chops, grilled buffalo tenderloin, smoked rainbow trout caviar topped tater tots and Lodge smoked duck gumbo. Do not miss the famous TIED FLY BAR! with its crafted cocktails and views of an acre of grounds, the bar is the most popular seat in the house. Often voted best patio in Houston, Sunday Brunch enthusiasts enjoy casual patio dining with $2 mimosas. Sunday Suppers feature half price wines by the glass and a $18 comfort food special.     We went to celebrate my mother’s 76th birthday party with a large group of ten. Lotar, our server, was amazing. He was knowledgeable, polite, and very sweet to the Yaya. The warm sticky buns were delicious and everyone’s food was amazing. The ambience is always great there and the drinks are delicious. The valet service was good and the gentleman even helped put grandpa’s wheelchair in the car for me. Great customer service!

    Our brunch server was fun, professional, & attentive. I had the bass & my friend had the bison Benedict & we both had the tres leches for dessert. All delicious & thoroughly enjoyed within a rusticly beautiful ambiance with tranquil, lush views. Highly recommend this Houston classic!

    Great night. Celebrated our anniversary there. Besides great food and service the waiter brought out a card signed by the staff. Really made my wife’s night. The little extra goes a long way.

    Wanted to try this spot for years. Went for our anniversary and it was great food but terrible service. Waiter never said his name took forever to bring drinks, never got refills unless we wanted water. Unfortunately we won’t be back not worth the wait or the waiters attitude. There was one gentleman in all black he was very polite cleaning plates and bagging up leftovers. Otherwise service needs to improve!
