We visited Lescombes Winery & Bistro on a bustling Saturday night, and it was immediately clear that this is a popular weekend spot. The parking situation was challenging—spaces were at a premium, and arriving on time didn’t guarantee a smooth entry. Once inside, we were seated in the front section of the restaurant. Unfortunately, this area turned out to be more of a passageway than a peaceful dining zone. The constant movement of servers rushing to and from the kitchen created a distracting, high-traffic environment that made it difficult to settle in and enjoy the evening. Service started off brisk—almost hurried—though it mellowed out as the meal progressed. Still, there was an unexpectedly long wait for our entrées, which broke the pace of an otherwise prompt experience. Lescombes offers a limited menu, which can sometimes signal a commitment to culinary quality. However, in this case, the execution didn’t quite live up to the promise. I ordered a burger (a rare dinner choice for me) and my wife had the pot roast. Sadly, both dishes fell short: my burger arrived overcooked, and the pot roast lacked the tenderness you’d expect from a slow-cooked comfort dish. One curious note: the bistro only serves their own line of spirits and wines. This wasn’t clearly advertised, so it came as a surprise. However, the server did provide us with additional wine samples alongside our selection, which was a thoughtful gesture—even if it felt a bit like a retail upsell rather than part of a curated wine experience. As for the ambience, it felt caught between identities. Some diners were dressed for a night out, while others looked like they had popped in straight from the gym. It was just the second time I have dined there and it was very good. The lunch special menu is a great value and there are many selections from which to choose. Service was excellent despite the restaurant being completely packed during lunch. I will definitely return.

This place used to be good but the last 3 times we have gone we have been completely disappointed with the service, amount of time waiting for food to be delivered and taste/quality of food. They have really gone down hill. This place is off our restaurant rotation for a while.

This is one of my favorite places to dine. Atmosphere is great, food is very good, service is usually very good. I would suggest that your wait staff please introduce themselves and provide their name so that we can address them personally as well as give proper feedback.
