   This was our first time dining at Wine Dive + Kitchen - Lawrence, and we attended the Mother's Day Brunch. I made our reservation online for patio seating several days prior, but when we arrived this morning we were seated inside in a back room with no other guests. When I inquired with the hostess, she informed me that despite my online reservation for the patio, they would not be able to accommodate that due do having seated other guests outside and not having enough room for us. She tried to explain that they had made those changes yesterday, but didn't have an answer as to why guests with bookings were not informed that their reservations were being changed. The hostess, finally sensing my frustration, offered for the manager to come speak with us, which never happened. Despite this frustrating and disappointing experience, the food was rather delicious and our waiter Brett was wonderful. The issues we experienced were with the hostess/management.

   Wine Dive is one of our local favs! When visiting family it is a 'must go'! We love the quality & variety of the menu! We love the depth & breadth of the wine list! Gage provided enjoyable and professional service! Looking forward to our next visit!

   Unfortunately, I keep trying this restaurant over again with no change. The food is horribly overpriced. $45 for 3 small quarter sized scallops over some risotto and 3 sprigs of asparagus. The short ribs were tasty and a better value but still overpriced. They give you a ridiculous iPad for drinks with like 5 speciality drinks, why? There is nothing about this restaurant that justifies the price. It is not that I need to be stuffed when I leave, but I expect that I will at least be wowed by something. I am afraid this is a hard pass from here on out.

   Poor wine selections for a wine bar. There are so many great wines by bottle or glass to offer. Find a new wine distributor!!! Won’t be back

    I couldn't have been happier going here for Valentine's Day weekend. Everything from the wine to the great food selections on the menu (shoutout to the crab cakes, Filet Oscar, and lobster tail over lobster risotto, plus red velvet cheesecake and chocolate layer cake) was top notch. We've never had bad service here, either, with waiters who are fun to chat with and who know the menu well.
