   Overall the meal was good apart from my wife's meal had pepper in the mashed veg, which wasn't listed on the menu.

   One meal was poor, veg was rock hard. Pie was stuck to the plate over cooked Underneath. 2nd meal salt & pepper burger was very bland. No salt & pepper seasoning at all. Big let down. A newbie server was on, so had to be patient. Which was acceptable. Over all for the cost we was very disappointed .

   First visit for a long time but worth it, food was lovely as was the service. Monday evening so not overly busy so didn't have a long wait

   We went on Saturday night. The service was shocking we ordered a drink and the server brought it. It was 20 minutes before she took our food order. The starters were ok but the mains came and my husband ordered well done steak. It was raw. Nobody came back to check so he couldn’t send back to get it cooked more. We complained after 30 minutes when finally came to remove our plates. They did refund us for the wasted food but this does not make up for our spoiled evening. We won’t be returning this used to be a lovely place to visit it’s such a shame.

   10/10 for the food. Service extremely disappointing. Not acknowledged when arriving and ignored by staff walking past several times. Table of 2 sat with a noisy family with kids running round and drunk parents shouting. Told the table had been there since miday was 7.30pm. Staff should have thought the room wasnt suitable. Asked to move after waiting 20 minutes for drinks. Moved to better area but took a further 20 minutes for the correct wine to arrive. Training needed on wine selection. Attention to detail lacking needing to ask for steak knife when paid £30 for steak dish. Men serving never came to ask if everything was OK or if we wanted anything else. Lady who wasn't serving us was pleasant and helpful. A real shame as we have stopped in the past overnight and enjoyed breakfast but the experience this time has put us off and we won't return. It was my husbands 40th Birthday and I even wrote on the booking Birthday but made no difference.

   We attended for a birthday celebration and had the most delicious Afternoon Tea, lovely location and really good value for money. Highly recommended

   We stayed overnight.We ate yesterday afternoon and breakfast this morning.Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.We will definitely stay again.

   Fabulous hotel- really lovely bedroom and en suite. Spotlessly clean. Really helpful friendly staff. Delicious food in the restaurant which was great value, and excellent quality. Breakfast this morning was outstanding- I had the vegetarian breakfast which included spinach and asparagus and the most delicious sweet potato fritter! Would definitely stay and eat again here again.

    Not very good value for money - I had the fillet steak pie which contained virtually all carrots and very little steak. The price for this dish was far too much.
