   We came there for our celebration of us getting married and it was fantastic, but the only down fall was we were right in front of the kitchen door and they were hollering. It wasn’t as what I expected! But the food was out of this world!

   Party of 7. We were sat at 6:45PM. Received bread for table at 7:45PM. Had ordered various meals, a number of steaks. Table ahead of us had a gal that kitchen was still waiting on a steak. By 8:20PM (because other table was still waiting on their steak) without being served we decided to leave. Was HS Valedictorian dinner with family from Dallas and Massachusetts. By 8:20 our son, the Valedictorian, after a long day, was so exhausted by then we just went home and ate air fryer chicken nuggets from Kroger. The last time I wrote a restaurant review was over 5 years ago. We don’t complain. Very Disappointing.

   We were sat in a corner upstairs where it was very warm -as if the a/c hadn’t been turned on soon enough. Unfortunately a loud party came in after us making our table conversation difficult. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. I’m not sure how you ask for a ‘quieter’ environment as some people have a difficulty modulating their voice.

   Week nights are not very busy. The food was very good, no disappointments. Service was prompt and friendly. The courses were timed well. Prices are reasonable for today's environment. 1836 is our "go-to place" when we want a pleasant evening with friends, consistently good food, and friendly service. And 1836 still polishes the glassware and flatware...nice!

   We came here for our 19th wedding anniversary dinner and as always it never disappoints. The food and service were both amazing.

   We dined for lunch on Mother’s Day and each of us selected the special…a 10 oz. Filet Strip and their Special Potatoes. Well, we ordered two steaks medium-rare and two steaks medium. Sadly, two came medium and two came well done so we were all disappointed in our meals. However, our waitress was delightful.

   The morning/afternoon was outstanding! Treated my wife , her daughter and son-in-law as well as mother-in-law and her son to Mother’s Day brunch. Service was spot on and the food was outstanding in presentation and flavor. A most enjoyable day.
