   All of our meals were excellent. I had the pan seared chicken and highly recommend it. We would definitely eat there again.

   Absolutely delicious Food with Amazing Service! The ambience is so beautiful with cozy library vibes. The Chef went above and beyond to make the evening special with a complimentary tuna tartare 🤤 as well as a delicious complimentary homemade strawberry pectin gummy to try before outstanding dessert also complimentary on the Clifton for our Friends 15 yr. anniversary. And they were so yummy we ordered two more to go for later. Not to mention the entrees and appetizers were out of this world with flavors. THANK YOU 1799 & The Clifton oh andddd they had on our menu Happy Anniversary For Our Friends it was such a special touch when we first sat down

   The host staff, kitchen staff and all but one of the servers were very professional and good at their jobs. That being said, my fiancee and I were a bit displeased with our server, from what I could see she wasn't covering many tables, just the ones closest to the kitchen but she consistently left us for quite long time, we had issues with getting our water refilled and getting our check paid. for Instance, at one point we waited around 30 minutes for a refill, another server actually noticed and gave us one, and at the end of our meal once she dropped off our check she left us for 20 minutes, we eventually ended up asking another server who graciously handled it. Fortunately the food made up for it, that was incredible, my meal was fantastic and even my vegetarian fiancee had great options for all three courses. I did think the value was subpar mostly due to the service, it's an expensive experience and considering the 20% gratuity automatically added I'd expect top of the line service. I would rate the value higher if we could have split our tip between the two servers, considering a second server picked up the slack for ours I think that would have been fair.

   Good cocktails and food in a charming dining room at the lovely historic Clifton Inn. We sat near the window, looking out on the grounds of the Inn. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

   The whole experience was amazing. The drinks and the food were so thoughtfully prepared. The amuse-bouche set the stage for the culinary delight we were in for. We’ve eaten at a lot of fine dining establishments and this easily makes it in our top five. Thank you for the amazing experience and the thoughtful touches to help us celebrate our anniversary.

   Had a beautiful brunch at 1799 at The Clifton. The setting was peaceful and elegant, with such a charming atmosphere. Service was attentive and kind throughout. I had hot tea, fresh cinnamon rolls that were warm and perfectly sweet, and a croque madame that was rich, savory, and beautifully prepared. Everything felt thoughtful and elevated. A lovely spot for a relaxing and refined brunch experience.

   Wonderfull place, fantastic ambiance, great history, beautiful grounds, great service, and very accommodating for allergies. Cooked in olive oil for us to avoid seed oils, though heating olive oil is not ideal. Only ask would be capability to cook in Ghee, Tallow, or Coconut oil. Awesome that they do farm to table, right from their organic garden!!

    2nd visit not disappointing. first time, we were very excited to experience this restaurant, but it did not live up to the hype. truck blocked driveway. loud, scary individual yelling in entry. no one greeted us so we did not know where to go to get away from loud man yelling. eventually taken to bar. no one took our order and the bartender could not answer questions about $20 a shot bourbon. because we were 25 minutes early for reservation, we were told when it was time someone would show us to table. no one did. after 20 minutes, we asked and confusion ensued. we were eventually shown to table by un lite fireplace. resturant was cold. fireplace could not be lite. the steak we ordered was wonderful and the waiter provided good service. however, the ambiance and overall hospitality were lacking. 2nd time. much much better. food excellent. I has trout. fireplace on. calm atmosphere. pleasant evening. check if wedding when you make reservations. a world of difference
