Simon Pearce Restaurant
Reservations are not accepted for lunch.
We love the Simon Pearce Restaurant in Quechee. The menu is very creative, food always prepared perfectly and dishes for a variety of tastes. Highly recommended for special occasions or anytime fine dining.
Never disappointed at Simon Pearce. The salmon special was perfectly prepared, very mild. The tenderloin was definitely prime and could be cut with a fork. Bread crusty and just baked—-my experience across the board is that if the bread before the meal is lousy, the meal will almost certainly be disappointing. We didn’t do dessert this time, but they’ve had some to die for in the past. Staff attentive, knowledgeable and courteous. Did a little shopping for hand-blown glassware while we were there as well.
Beautiful setting: wonderfully comfortable ambience; our table was directly over the waterfall giveing us a magnificent view. Appetizers were fantastic, both the salad with warm goat cheese and the pork belly. Crispy duck and yellowfin tuna were prepared perfectly. Coffee was fresh and rich; Irish coffee was delicious. Finally, Nick did a great job: very professional and friendly.
Great location with a wonderful view of the waterfall. My duck confit was excellent as was my wife’s soup and her chicken breast was v good as was my cod. Good wines and great service. An ideal location for any special occasion
Delightful Dinner ~ Server was outstanding and the ambience was exactly as we hoped. Enjoyed wine at the bar pre-dinner and also loved the feel there.
Not enough variety on menu. Only two beef items and one had a very salty olive sauce.
Ended up with chicken which I eat most days at home.
I had wasabi coated tuna: wonderful, attractive, and delicious
My wife had the duck preparation. She loved the delicious and cam with a wonderful sauce..
Well worth the drive to get here
Truly my favorite little gem in Vermont. I always arrive early to peruse all the beautiful things in the retail shop and enjoy the warm atmosphere. I had the duck confit appetizer this time and it was absolutely outstanding! We both had chicken which we don’t normally order. But this dish and the mustard sauce are just incredible and we know it won’t be around forever. Apple fritter for dessert was truly exceptional as well. Brandy did a lovely job. Kind and professional, everything was fabulous. Thanks as always!
Jenna & Stephanie did a terrific job to make our dinner memorable. The food was delicious. The ambiance is excellent. Always love using Simon Pearce glassware.
We went here for a quiet getaway on our 30th anniversary. It was a mix of elegant yet somehow casual. We sat by a window overlooking a dramatic torrent of river/waterfall. Our waitress was thoughtful, knowledgable and helpful - but not really intrusive. We had a few appetizers - we particularly appreciated the beets. Beets as a rule taste - like the earth. True to their nature, these beets tasted earthy - but in a way that imagines a kinder, sweeter earth. They were really lovely! I had the arctic charr which has some pickled things on it. While "in print" that may not sound like a great combination, it worked wonderfully. A delicious collection of flavors and textures that made me long to go back again.
Great ambiance and delicious food! It was such a pleasant/warm atmosphere out in the room overlooking the river.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Would highly recommend a visit!
Once again, we were extremely pleased with our experience at Simon Perce. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Jared and Suzanne made this visit an absolute treat. We can’t wait to go back!
Outstanding service and delicious as always!!! Best restaurant ever!
Delicious food. All four of us loved our meals. Beautiful restaurant and ambiance.
Everything about the evening was perfect. The greeting when we entered to the table we were given were perfect. The wait staff professional and knowledgeable. The food was amazing. Short ribs and the cod dish were cooked to perfection and the choices of wines exceptional.
Fortunate enough to be able to go to Simon Pearce again...again, an amazing place!
The asmosphere was so nice. After touring the showroom floor which was so interesting and enlightening we were seated at a table with a view of the falls. So beautiful. The food was so delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our favorite restaurant. Even though it is over 40 minutes away, it is well worth the trip.
One of our favorite places.
Always a memorable experience. The duck is consistently delicious - the best anywhere! Server was lovely. Another perfect dining experience!
We enjoyed a great dinner in the beautiful Simon Pearce Restaurant! Nearly everything was outstanding in flavor. The horseradish-crusted cod, pork belly, pear and parsnip soup, and desserts (apple fritter for me, chocolate cake for her) are not to be missed (though the pork belly seems a little steep on the price front given the portion). The char was a little disappointing, as it was on the plain side, but the side (baby spinach, heirloom potato, pearl onion, and golden raisin hash) was excellent. Service was friendly, and the pacing of the meal was just right. We look forward to our next visit!
Wait staff is excellent as usual. Ambiance relaxed friendly. My duck was excellent. I always try a mixed drink special and this time it was only fair. The overall experience at Simon Pearce, as usual, did not disappoint. We have lived in the area for over 30 years and have never had anything but a good experience. We especially appreciate the professionalism of all the staff from those who great and seat you to the wait staff. Class, class, class.
My husband and I dined at Simon Pearce for our 40th anniversary. The food was excellent, our server was helpful, attentive and very nice. The ambience was perfect as well.
Superior experience Great wine assortment. Fantastic and delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed every second of it.
A wonderful restaurant! The view is beautiful. The food is wonderful and the store adjacent always fun to visit.
Always a pleasure to enjoy this warm ambient treasure. The food and service are consistently great. I appreciate that the menu changes with the seasons. I highly recommend Simon Pearce to anyone who will listen.
We were there for a late night birthday dinner. Everything was wonderful. It was so late that many of us just had soup and salad. Both were good, but the cheddar soup was outstanding and memorable. The desserts were great too. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful.
Fabulous food and ambiance. Freshly prepared food locally sourced in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend!
Everything was very nice. If you like duck, they do it very nicely.
Overpriced for the food quality and service. Nothing special. When we asked the waitress if they did anything special for birthdays, her snarky comment back was "If you ordered a dessert, I guess I could put a candle in it". Really? Any decent restaurant would bring out a small dessert for a birthday, and even if they don't, there's no need for waitstaff to make a comment like that. Not going back.
Wonderful setting but quite noisy and difficult to have an intimate conversation. Outstanding service. Menu not as exciting as it was in the past-fewer interesting appetizers and main dishes lacked many locally grown or produced foods. With this setting and reputation it should become a destination if the food notches up a bit
Amazing amazing experience!
We have been a few times while visiting a son at Dartmouth, and this is our favorite restaurant in the area. Too bad it's not more convenient to Hanover! The setting, the food and the service are a winning combination! Keep up the good work.
Wonderful! Can’t wait to go back!
Not enough superlatives to adequately describe what this dining experience was! Extraordinarily inspired food in a postcard setting!
