   We have enjoyed many dining experiences at Simon Pearce over the years, but this was a disappointment. Food portions were very small for a lunch entree. Two thin slices of tuna in the Niçoise salad was more like an appetizer. Atmosphere and hospitality are lovely.

   Simon Pearce has always been one of our all-time, favorite restaurants. It is consistently delicious and we have been going there since 1988!

   All 6 of us enjoyed our entrees and desserts. The pasta, chicken, duck, scallops and osso bucco dishes were delicious! Excellent service and ambiance. So glad we had an opportunity to dine here. It was cool to watch the glassblowers in action prior to having dinner. Recommend making reservations.

   We enjoyed our meal very much. My only complaint was the fish and chips which were quite good, had a presentation focused on appearance rather than consumption. Piling the fish fillet on a hatch work of potato logs was attractive but it all had to rearranged to actually eat the fish.

   We always love eating at the Simon Pearce Restaurant. The service and view were marvelous. The food is usually the epitome of perfection. We are looking forward to returning soon

   The customer service seemed very unhappy and lacking. The food at the price should have been exceptional, not just okay. Maybe the anticipation of dining here simply outweighed the actuality, but it was disappointing for an anniversary, of which the restaurant could have cared less if it was a special occasion as well.

   The restaurant at Simon Pierce has one of the most delightful settings imaginable, and it's been one of our favorites for more than a decade. However we've noticed some slippage in the cuisine and value recently. On a recent visit, I ended up with two dishes both on a base of challah. Might have been my oversight, but it was a bit much. The gazpacho was serviceable, but not swoon-worthy, which is sort of the standard we once enjoyed quite often at SP. The pavlova, which evolved from a fabulous baked meringue they used to serve, now comes with a fruit compote that seems a bit over-processed. The baklava was a bit heavy on rose water; we might be a tough audience here, though, as we visit Israel on a regular basis. They used to provide complementary bread service (the scones are delightful), then started charging for the table, and now they are charging for individual bread service. Service on our most recent visit also seemed a bit...unenthusiastic. And the value - with only one glass of wine our total for 3 persons, with tip, was around $300. That's getting up there.

    As always a wonderful lunch at Simon Pearce. We were especially lucky with the fabulous table we had, overlooking the weir. Make sure you book well in advance, to avoid a long line. It’s shame that these days they don’t open Sun.- Tuesday.
