A meal at Simon Perce is always as beautiful and handcrafted as their glass and pottery!
Always excellent. The service staff here are on point. Food and atmosphere are always excellent.
Excellent meal. Can’t beat the view. Bought some glassware too!
The Restaurant at Simon Peace is a lovely and quaint New England eatery with lots of charm and character. The view of the river and waterfall is spectacular. The menu, while limited, offers nice variety. The service and food is always exceptional. And, of course, the birds eye view of the store and glass blowing is an added bonus. I highly recommend Simon Pearce. You won't be disappointed.
It wasn't your fault, but two women were sitting at the far corner of the room, talking loudly and disturbing the tranquility of the dining for all of us. That's why I didn't give an outstanding rating on the last question. Otherwise, everything was perfect. We appreciated being seated by the window overlooking the river. It was our 54th wedding anniversary, and our dining experience at Simon Pearce helped make it a very special day.
Cheese soup was worth going for. We were seated in the one table that inexplicably has no view of anything except another table in front of the waterfall. Prices are on the higher side, but are reasonable for the quality of the food.
Outstanding service and ambience. Soup du Jour was incredible (chilled cucumber). Main course entree (chicken) was a little dry and possibly slightly overcooked. Very edible, just not fantastic. Dessert was lip-smacking good! We ate early in this pandemic time, and I cannot say how wonderful it was to have the restaurant be so quiet.
BEAUTIFUL, DELICIOUS, and FRIENDLY. Get the mousse.
Our server Sue was delightful ! Shrimp appetizer was perfect
Always wonderful to eat here! Beautiful setting, great food and service
There’s no place like Simon Pearce! Positively enchanting with imaginative and perfectly prepared food.
Wonderful meal. Safely distanced. Friendly staff. The best.
Such beutiful surroundings, delicious food, excellent and courteous staff--just a wonderful experience.
Love this place
Totally enjoyable in every way. Only comment for improvement would be a friendlier wait person.
Absolutely fantastic, every course; especially, Vermont cheddar soup, horseradish-encrusted Cid, fresh ice cream. Our server Susan was wonderful!
all was great - but you need pinot grigio on the menu
The lunch menu doesn't seem to vary much from year to year.... But the cheddar soup is always amazing. Excellent cocktails. And yes, I do go out of my way to dine here.
I have been to Simon Pearce many times, over many years. It is always very, very good.
Amazing location sitting on screened deck on top of dam. Beautiful, Picturesque with gushing sound of water to soothe away the stress. Lovely attentive service. Well thought out menu featuring the freshest of ingredients. Will be back!
From the time we arrived the entire experience was relaxing and the apps and entrees were excellent and the server was great! A must stop anytime we are in the area.
Simon Pearce is our "second kitchen". We love their food, wine, service, setting, and especially the waterfall. About four years ago, we moved away from Pomfret Vt which is three miles from SP, yet we continue to return...
Well spaced tables. Was very nice overlooking waterfalls.
Great service with very attentive staff. Food was beyond extraordinary
Beautiful setting overlooking waterfalls on one side and S.P. glassware store on the other. Deep, serious wine list (we enjoyed a 2014 Chateau Beaucastel CDP Blanc). Accomodating service. Well executed inventive takes on traditional menu items. Make a detour to go there or if local, go weekly!
Although the menu was limited due to the pandemic, the food was exceptional. As well as the ambiance and beautiful indoor/outdoor dining room overlooking the water fall! I've been eating here for years, and have never been disappointed!
Love to eat on the screen porch and enjoy the view here. This time it was raining cats and dogs, but it was so beautiful and pleasant. Salmon and lamb burger were both excellent. Service is always friendly and attentive. Social distancing was carefully observed. Staff wore masks. Couldn’t have been any better.
A lovely and romantic setting overlooking the waterfall.
Food and Service were great. Had requested a window table with our reservation, which I knew was first come first serve. There were no window tables available, and the hostess had led us to a two seater table in the far back of the restaurant in a corner, which had a view of scaffolding. When we asked was there another table, she checked and we were seated in another room at a much better table that had a view of the river. Make sure and speak up if not satisfied with your seating. We found it weird there were better tables available after our reservation had had a specific request for a birthday lunch.
Our experience was dreamlike—EVERYTHING was perfect. WE LOVE SIMON PEARCE!!
As always, great food, service, and ambience! Very happy to have them open back up.
Went for lunch. My friend and I shared the quiche of the day( which is always out of this world) and the lamb burger, also very delicious. We shared the chocolate mousse and it was amazing. The server was very friendly and did a great job. We sat near the window overlooking the water fall. It was a delightful lunch experience all around.
We had such a great dinner at Simon Pierce! Even though it is COVID quiet and only recently open for indoor service, they rocked it! It was our first great meal since February! The drinks were tasty and unique menu. The food was just right! Delicious and beautifully presented. The server and wait staff were so friendly and accommodating even though we were late for our reservation. (Sorry, minor family emergency.) The tables were generously spaced and we felt safely distanced to enjoy our meal. The table overlooked the scenic river and Quechee bridge. Perfectly beautiful and romantic (even though I was there with my girlfriend and not my husband:). The bar was closed but so inviting and cool décor. Can't wait to go when its open. Highly recommend!
The menu is more limited than before COVID and we found the food to be nicely presented but uninspiring. The ambiance was great and the service was excellent.
As usual, even with social distancing and masks a great lunch location. Glad its back.
Simon Pearce always delivers gold star service. ❤️
