Simon Pearce has always been a longstanding favorite! As part of a reunion weekend, we gathered for dinner with family and friends to celebrate Father’s Day. Dinner was thoughtful and as always delicious. We also happened to have dinner reservations during the launch of hot air balloons for the Queechee Balloon Festival, which were floating just outside the windows surrounding the dining room. This combined led to a memorable dining experience!

Service and ambiance were exceptional as always. The food was just fine, though, this time instead of exceptional. Some items—bread and prawns, as examples—were uncharacteristically overcooked. One of the rare times we left feeling a little disappointed.
I’m guessing it was just an off night. We will most certainly try again.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The setting is spectacular. The dining room overlooks a waterfall. The real surprise was the food. It was very good and very creative. I would certainly make sure I return when I am in the area.

We had a wonderful meal at a small table by the windows overlooking the waterfall. Meal and Service were tops. Can't complain.

This was a special occasion for us, and we had a lovely meal. Our table overlooked a spectacular view of the waterfall. Both of our entrees were delicious and beautifully presented. What made the meal for us, though, was exemplary service. Our server (Vanessa) was very friendly, but totally professional and unobtrusive. Full marks!

I cannot say enough about what a great experience we had at this resturant. I had asked the hostess if it was possible to seat us near the window. Not only did she comply, she gave us what I would consider the best, most romantic table in the restaurant. My fiance and I greatly enjoyed the soothing sounds of the water. Additionally, my steak was perfectly cooked, as was my fiance's pork chop. I highly recommend the maple brulee for dessert.

One meal was excellent, one meh, but the server and management cared to ask and cared to receive honest feedback and to ensure a good experience. Result? Two happy diners willing to return and to recommend a visit to others.

We were pleased to find vegan options at a pricey restaurant that takes pride in its chef.
The vegetable appetizers were wonderful as well.

The restaurant shares the building with a artisan glass gallery by the same owner. This creates an upscale feel. We dined on the enclosed porch overlooking the river and a covered bridge with mountains all around which made for a spectacular view, especially during sunset. When we entered I told the hostess that we had a reservation; she responded, Oh do you! in a snarky way, which I felt was rude. The servers, on the other hand, were all very friendly, polite and professional as well as attentive. The food was very good but on the heavy side, very rich and filling. You could tell that every ingredient was carefully sourced and probably local. They had a very good wine list but the cocktails were the star.

Simon Pearce never disappoints. Food, service and ambience top notch. The duck entree
is the best we've had. We visit each time we are in Quechee.

Another truly memorable meal! The cod with horseradish was perfectly cooked and is sensational. The halibut was also very good. Two desserts in particular stand out: the chocolate cake and an orange and pistachio custard. And the delicious home-made bread. Thank you!

Amazing food and amazing service. My boyfriend and I were seated nearest to the balcony overlooking the waterfall, and we loved it. The waterfall of course created noise, but it was a manageable level for conversation and we were so pleased with the lovely view! Our meals were the perfect portion sizes and tickled our taste buds. I can’t wait to go back!

I feel a bit silly writing another review of this restaurant where we've marked special and ordinary occasions for years but this meal was exceptional. There were several new additions to the menu that we tried (little gem lettuce salad, lamb shoulder, hazelnut crusted halibut) that were exquisite and further showcased the talents of the restaurants chef. The setting is unequalled in the Upper Valley and the view of the falls never gets old.

Dinner was absolutely incredible! We mentioned it was our one year marriage anniversary and they gave us a free appetizer and a free dessert! Our waitress was awesome and ended up making our other two desserts free as well. We never go to fancy places so this was a great first experience with that.

Lovely restaurant and ambiance. Our table overlooked the water which was great. The duck I had was very tasty though the cheddar cheese soup was too salty. Salad was very good.

The restaurant at Simon Pearce is a gem. We fiind ourselves drawn to staples on the menu - the duck, the horseradish-crusted cod - but it's wise to stray once in a while. A soft-shell crab appetizer special is a case-in-point. The beverage program is fantastic, ranging from interesting wine finds (a sauvignon blanc/fruilano blend was unusual and refreshing) to the rotating selection they have on tap from Hill Farmstead (tonight it was Conduct of Life, which may be the.best.beer.ever). We miss the walnut meringues, but understand that the pastry chef deserves a chance to live a little. Maybe they'll make a guest re-appearance someday?
