Great location in downtown Jackson, known for sport entertainment, local music and dancing, and pub food.
Local Jackson gem in the heart of the town square. Open odd days and holidays - we ate there for Christmas dinner. Also quick and dependable service for lunch.
Small menu, pricey for the “quality”, took a while for food/drinks to be ordered/served. Not that good overall, bar looked cool but crowded.
My main course, Salmon was delicious, but the sides were so-so.
Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet.
Too noisy, steak was tough, and the seemed extremely rushed
Always visit the SD when in town or the bar area of the Wort for a quick meal. Service and food always outstanding and always with a smile. Dine at SD 8/10 times a year
It was a lovely place to have lunch with a group of friends. We were able to visit and not have to talk over music or excessive noise.
The overall experience was diminished by the hostess. She initially seated us at a both with a broken seat. We moved ourselves to one of the other empty booths. Throughout the evening we watched her try to seat other couples at a table for 2 in the back corner when better seats were requested and denied. Both couples left.
Great place for what it is- fun, old west place with large servings of very good food. Very friendly service, busy bar next door, in the center of all the action.
Delicious! Corn chowder soup was amazing . Prime Rib special for $27 was delightful ...cooked perfectly and delicious !
CELIAC Friendly : Crab cake salad from the bar was good, then we dined in the restaurant and there were also good Gluten Free options. At time of dining there were no GF desserts available
I had one of the worst meals I’ve ever had......my chicken was rubbery and obviously microwaved or steamed and the broccoli that was supposed to be steamed was absolutely raw. I needed to use my husbands steak knife to cut it.
Great ambience. Upscale cowboy in Jackson Hole. Historic hotel bar. Nachos and apps with Jenny Lake lager--can't be beat fir casual, fun meal!
I recomend making a reservation. For the price the food was a disappointment. Crabcake and shrimp appetizers bland and the ribeye steak entrees overpriced, dry, and tough to chew. If you have $$$ eat at the White Buffalo Club's excellent restaurant.
Terrible service. Waitress acted like she could of cared less about us. Chicken was raw and the food was just generally not very good. $150 for two kids chicken tender meals and airplane chicken for my wife and I-won’t be back.
My husband & I enjoyed breakfast here. The location is excellent, easy walk in town. It’s located in the beautiful & historic Wort Hotel. We entered through the hotel lobby & the front desk clerk graciously walked us to the dining area. My husband ordered the wild game skillet. Attractively served in a sizzling black skillet - it was delicious! Potatoes, onions, roasted tomatoes sautéed with tender pieces of elk & buffalo topped with2 eggs & a buttermilk pancake on the side. Large portions. I had the bagel with smoked salmon - delicious! Highly recommend.
Food was very tasty, fresh and service great. We sat outside. (The high top tables and chairs were difficult to maneuver. After a time we moved to a regular table and were very comfortable). Would visit again.
Menu was nice, but the preparation for such a touted establishent was disappointing. The asparagus was way over done and resembled the canned variety. The trout was dry. Certainly not worth the price
Very good meals! The room was attractive, being furnished with cowboy art. Service was excellent.
Our server was wonderful. Very attentive.
Wild Boar, Trout, and Chicken fishes were great. Bison Filet was ordered medium rare and cooked medium well. Replaced with a medium and ultimately comped it. With that exception good was great though service rather slow with filling water. Would rate them a 5 if filet was cooked correctly and service was a little more attentive. Still a nice place to give try. .
My wife enjoyed more than I did. Service was friendly but a little off. Waiter took our order and left menus on the table. A little later the manager noticed the menus and came by to ask if we were offered bread. We said no and then she disappeared. Finally bread, salad, and dinner all came out at once.
The bison tenderloin was outstanding. Great ambiance and service, in a very convenient location in Jackson, WY - right off the square.
The Restaurant is split into 2 parts, the rowdy Silver Dollar Bar and the Bistro. The standard of food was very good as was the service. Definitely recommend.
We loved it!
THE RESTAURANT WAS CLOSED! Does not open until 5PM!
We go for the Prime Rib dinner. You get a good-sized slab of beef, baked potato, and veggie (last night it was braised broccolini) and good fresh bread. Definitely worth the money, and even better if it is two-fer time of year. The beef is very tasty, partly due to the rub or whatever the chef calls what he puts on the outside, after it comes out of the sous vide. The waitstaff was attentive and cheerful.
The amount and variey of food items has declined. Not a wow event anymore.-jb
The servers never smiled. The toughest ribeye in town. Brussels sprouts were not cooked. The manager came by twice and had his hand shoved down the back of his pants both times. The fish plate was drenched in lemon. Enjoy!
Wonderful food! We were interested in a wild game selection and chose the bison tenderloin. It was delicious! Our waiter was very helpful and answered all of our questions.
Food was excellent and our server Austin was super attentive and did an awesome job.
We had the Sunday Prime Rib special. The service was prompt and the bread was very fresh. The beef was the best we have had, and we previously had enjoyed it on other Sundays. perhaps the spicing was better than usual. We strongly recommend this particular Sunday special.
This restaurant is in The Wort Hotel. It is a beautiful historic building. If I went again I would just go for a drink in the bar to enjoy the building, decor and ambiance. I found there were many better restaurants in Jackson Hole.
Elk pot roast came out cold and pork chop was over cooked and dry. Attentive waiter immediately returned it to kitchen. New dishes were better but still not hot or well cooked. Apps and salad were fine but not memorable. Hate to say it, but this is a tourist trap. Should’ve heeded the warning signs and looked elsewhere fora good meal in Jackson.
Six of us dined on Sunday, Feb. 18 and all ordered the Prime Rib to be cooked medium. It came back with grill marks and it is was so tough you couldn't cut it with a steak knife. My daughter had a bowl of chili that was laden with cheese that you couldn't taste the chili. The baked potato tasted like it was days old, frozen then reheated. The waiter - was nice, however he said this is how everything is cooked. We have dined there once before, however we won't be going back. Definitely would not recommend this place.
We had breakfast every day and on this night. The menu has great variety and the food and service are always exceptional.
The steak was probably the worst I have ever had at a restaurant. It was cooked the right temperature, but the meat was awful. The best part of this restaurant was the corn chowder and the fact there was a bar located right next door.
We gave this restaurant 3 stars just because we have found the food in Jackson to be average at most restaurants. It was pretty empty the night we were there but the food was good. We had the corn chowder but it was more of a creamy potato soup. The shrimp appetizer was delicious. The panzanella salad would have been better if they used fresh croutons. They seemed to be from a bag.
Excellent variety of delicious entrees on their dinner menu. Attentive wait-staff. An enjoyable meal was had by all-- 3 of us had the steelhead trout (SUPER YUMMY), one had the walleye (very tasty) and one had the ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection. You can't go wrong in eating here.
