   We came for our birthday celebrations and I was totally disappointed. I have eaten there so many times in the past and have never had a problem. I ordered the breakfast on the brunch menu and asked for cheese in my scrambled eggs. Didn't get the cheese and the eggs were over cooked and dry. The ham was dry. I asked to eliminate the sausage but got it anyway. The toast was cold and barely toasted. Cold. Mentioned it to our waitress but didn't get much of a response. The hostess that seated us was very friendly and our names on the menu were a nice touch. Needless to say I was very disappointed.

   We had not been there for quite a while. It looks like they've done some remodeling. It looked very nice and the seats were padded and were very comfortable. It was not their fault, but there was a family in the same dining area where we were that had a small child that got fussy. They could use some type of sound barriers between booths that might cut down on sound traveling. Our server was great and was just the right amount of attentive. My husband and I ordered the rib eye and filet mignon and we each ordered our steak medium rare. They were rare. I realize medium rare is hard to get right, but it's a little disappointing. They were served with fingerling potatoes. Those were the big disappointment. They seemed to have no seasoning other than butter. The couple we were with had the salmon and were raving about the mashed potatoes. It's disappointing that my husband and I got the most expensive dinner items and got the bland potatoes. We brought the left-over potatoes home. The next morning I sliced them, sauteed them in butter and seasonings until they were somewhat crispy. They were so much better than the way the restaurant served them.

   Should really stick to what you know for brunch! Easter Brunch was less than stellar. Felt like it was assembly line cooked. No real lunch options at 2:30 in the afternoon. Normal menu is fabulous but not interested in returning for special event dining.

   I had the halibut and it was outstanding! Cooked perfectly. The blueberry scones were burnt on the bottom, we pointed this out to the server who replaced them with apologies. The replacement scones were also burnt on the bottom, just a little bit less than the original. Other than the burnt scones everything was good

   Have been coming to Sheldon Inn for years on both holidays and non-holidays. Staff are always excellent, cocktails are always excellent food is usually spot on. It is a small kitchen so I think today might have been a little overwhelming but we'll be going back for Mother's Day. Every place has an off day. The atmosphere and the staff are a good reason to try Sheldon Inn for a second time if today was your first time and you weren't impressed. Trust me it's worth it

   Love it here. Disappointed the only option Easter Sunday was PreFixe and we were not told when reserving and confirming.

    Every thing was amazing from the moment we walked through the door. From the service to the food, excellent!!! We went to celebrate our anniversary, this was our first time here and we chose it because of the reviews and we wanted to be close to home. We will be back….
