Great food, great service, really good value...
Shuhei never disappoints, always great sushi. We have been to Shuhei many, many times and it is always great. We go there for sushi, I have never tried anything else. This time we went with another couple and one of them had a soft crab dish, he said was delicious. Service was great. We'll be back soon.
Shuhei continues to be one of our favorite Japanese restaurants. Unlike other establishments in town that offer outstanding sushi, Shuhei's entire menu is outstanding, offering unique dishes that you can't find anywhere else in the city.
If you don't mind sitting on the floor, their tatami tables are along the back of the restaurant and offer a private area to stretch out your legs and enjoy a leisurely meal.
Being new to the city this was a great find in our local neighborhood for sushi! The service was absolutely fantastic and the food was amazing! For 3 courses - the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend and will be returning soon!
My favorite neighborhood Japanese restaurant . This visit, I had my favorite appetizer the-frog leg the sauce is fantastic and sushi always fresh and nicely presented.
My husband and I went in a date which we hadn’t in awhile. The staff was wonderful and the food even better! Awesome sushi!!!
Consistently the best sushi in town! The restaurant never disappoints.
I took my niece here, and we sat at the sushi bar. The food was good, and the restaurant is beautiful. The service wasn’t super friendly.
Great sushi. Very good service. I was surprised that our edamame appetizer was brought to our table half-warm, half-cold.
I took my wife there to celebrate a special occasion, a recognition of her hard work. She loves sushi, and we were both impressed with the quality of the food and the selection. The choice of sake was particularly impressive, and for being tucked away on the ground floor of a suburban office building, it has good ambience.
wonderful as always!
Sushi/sashimi , I believe, is the best in Cleveland
With the cost of lunch being relatively high, at least they can come around and fill up your tea cup once in a while. Not even a chance of that happening. The service is hit-and-run, until it's time for the check of course.
Shuhei is always consistent, has excellent and interesting food, and the service is unfailingly
attentive. We often have dinner here, but lunch was a real treat. Reasonably priced and the
low noise level allowed us to have a real conversation. I just put Shuhei on my come back soon list.
It is a hidden gem, tucked away below a office building. The staff is nice and friendly and dressed in the traditional Japanese garb. The food selection is large with options for those who love sushi and those who do not. Great place and will come again next time in Cleveland.
We enjoyed the Miso soup, Shrimp Tempura and Tori Katsu. The soup was tasty, although mine was just warm, while my wife's was hot. Both entrees were very well prepared and the staff were very friendly and efficient. This is one of my wife's favorite restaurants. I would like it if they put Yaki Ebi back on the menu.
Excellent food peaceful surroundings. It took a while to find server to obtain the check. Lunch service needs to be quick and attentive.
Great, personable service. We were quickly seated, given ample time to peruse the extensive menu, had all our questions answered. The fish were fresh, portions substantial. Excellent Sushi/Sashimi dining. Loved the Negimaki as well.
Crowded the table a little, but, meal and service was good
I highly recommend the tempera scampi. Amazing!!!!
It was recommended by a friend. It was an enjoyable dining experience.
We sat at the sushi bar so not only did we receive excellent food but a show as well. The sushi chefs remembered our favorites and took very good care of us.
We eat here all the time, but we got a very bad server this go-round. It took 40 minutes to get soup! And she kept on forgetting part of my meal (soup, salad) and then disappearing for long spans of time. She would literally bring salad dressing out, then return 20 minutes later with the salad. Considering I was the Mom on Mother's Day this was beyond frustrating. In all it took about 2 hours for a meal that should have taken about 40 minutes. We were all really disappointed.
It was Mother’s Day; we went here on occasion with my late Mother-in-Law and we enjoyed reminiscing in a comfortable restaurant with good food and service.
I ordered scampi with black bean sauce. The scampi were floating in grease and there was no black bean sauce to speak of. Very disappointing dish. I have had it before and liked it, but it was poorly made this time. Not worth the expensive price. In addition it was a very poor presentation. The plate was so crowded it looked like they had dumped all the garbage on it.
We took our grandson for his 20th birthday. He really enjoyed his dinner.
Wonderful as always. We love the ambiance and great food!
As usual, our dining experience at Shuhei was superb!
Dining room is very lively at lunchtime. Not sure if they need more wait-staff or what, but there is a long wait time between being seating and having someone take our order. Food is good but service needs to speed up at lunch time.
Great experience at the restaurant but the manager Gave me a really hard time about using my OpenTable rewards. He said I needed to print it out. I had to show him the rewards card that says it just needs to be pulled up.
Food was excellent. Service was superb. Everything was wonderful except for the prices. They seemed a little steep in comparison to other sushi restaurants in the area. Overall a good experience though.
Very nice.Lots of choices. All good
Great food! Fabulous waitress!
However noise level made it difficult to hear our table mates. Small tables & tight venue. But if you value authentic Japanese food, Shuhei is ICHIBAN!
Also impressed with the quality of sushi and sashimi at Shuhei. The management and staff are always courteous and appreciate your business. Yes, I am a regular, once every 2 weeks !!
We are regulars here because the food is consistently good as is the service. We regularly get sashimi and the quality of fish is outstanding.
Sushi was very fresh . Service was excellent . Great follow up , we never had to look for our server . I look forward to our next visit .
Nice wine by the glass. Excellent sushi rolls! Very fresh. Sometimes can be slow but tonight timing was very good. Service was excellent.
As always Shuhei was a wonderful family dining experience
