Shaw's Seafood Salad
NY strip was tough and no flavor.
Always good food and great service. Shaws is one of our favorites in the area
Beautiful place, great food and even better service
Disappointed with our meal at Shaw's. The prices are very high and the portions were skimpy. Crab legs that were $99. were lukewarm as was the soup. The shrimp scampi appetizer was 3 small shirmp cut in half and served in an escargot dish. We were celebrating my mom's 100th birthday and she didn't even receive one of their desserts but only a scoop of vanilla ice cream which I thought was a little cheap. Probably won't be returning.
A standard go to. Love the outside seating option/area
Food was good, server was nice, but like most restaurants right now, they are understaffed and it shows.
Work dinner. Food and service were great!
I have never left a bad review prior to this. The food was not good at all, and we had their dinner for two which had their signature items including the king crab legs, lobster tails, shrimp, filet, and 3 sides. We had their calamari as well. Sides were au gratin potatoes, asparagus and wedge salad. With exception of the wedge salad and shrimp because those were actually somewhat decent, which isn’t a good thing because I despise salads. Every single one of those dishes tasted horrible. Red Lobster would be an upgrade over this place which isn’t saying much. This was not worth the price tag, do yourself and go somewhere else.
Excellent food and service with Socially distanced tables.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Wow. Great food experience for my 50th birthday. As the waiter said “I ordered like a King” and I truly felt like a King. The food and service was great. Loved the King Crab legs and the bone in Rib-eye steak.
We brought our grandson for his high school graduation dinner. He loves seafood and tried the raw oysters and loved them too. It was a great choice that we need to visit more often.
Food was great, as always. Service was way off. Took forever to get drinks & food.
Another amazing dining experience at Shaw’s!!
I went for brunch had reservations but no one bring out brunch menu or even said nothing bout it i was disappointed
Had to wait a few minutes for the dining room, but that’s expected- they are short staffed. Not all tables could be seated as a result. We were not originally happy with the half booth table set up, but they did explain that they didn’t have enough staff to be able to see all the tables. So OK.
our server had several tables that he was taking care of so it was understandable if we needed to wait a bit for our drinks etc. our appetizers were very good although the shrimp scampi was a bit on the small size for four people. Two orders of shrimp linguine and the shrimp was a little rubbery. Fried shrimp was excellent and seared tuna was an ample portion more than enough for one person. One suggestion for the restaurant is that they have several host and hostesses that do a little more than seat tables and walk around to see who is almost done eating. Our suggestion would be that these young people walk around and offer to fill water glasses ice tea or ask how things are going. Perhaps refill the bread?
At any rate we will definitely be back as we have been coming here for years and hope that the quality of food remains excellent!
Food was great, but our server was not very attentive. She walked by several times without checking in as our food was taking awhile. Filled up our waters right as we were getting done eating and waiting for our check. Didn’t even tell us to have a good night.
Food and service was great as always.
Mike the waiter is exceptionally great.
Thank you for a great experience.
Great atmosphere and absolutely everything was prepared perfectly. The surf and turf for two is the perfect meal.
We were sat right next to the bar/bar station which was VERY noisy. Could have sat us elsewhere as it wasn’t that busy and we had a reservation. Hubby had Walleye which he said was good. I had petite fillet (too salty and too rare) shrimp, scallops. Would not sit in the bar area unless you plan on not talking.
Pricey but good.
Celebrating a birthday. Food is fantastic as always.
Im totally not an outside person, but the food made up for the warm humid conditions. The new England chowder and shrimp linguine are my go to dishes. I also created a special drink a a peach mojito it was so good.
Our server #412 Luis was both attentive and helpful with dinner and wine selections.
The brunch was so delicious. Generous portions and the service was excellent, will definitely return
I am so sorry to report this negative review. We have been customers for a very long time. Saturday night was a very bad food experience. Crab cakes were bad ( like filler in there not much of real crab ). Caesar salad way smaller, Buffalo shrimp ( very small and only 4 ). Overall terrible. Skimping on everything.
Also when being seated asked to be at a certain area and we were told that area wasn't open. Not 5 minutes later a couple was seated there. NOT HAPPY. Probably will not return.
Limited menu and server was not pleasant. We are regulars and it was disappointing.
Last night they didn’t live up to their usual food quality, and the drinks were shy, mostly ice. The music was too loud, hard to converse.
Very good food. Our waitress was doing great even with a large party in her section plus us and the other tables she had.
Service, food and ambiance in the oyster bar is always great!
We love going to Shaws not only for the excellent food but because of the excellent service. Mike was our server and he was fantastic as always! He is attentive, expert on the menu and always makes sure you have an amazing experience. We had the Alaskan Halibut and it was delicious!
The bar made excellent vodka martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives. The oysters were excellent and the fried calamari was very good. I had the King Crab legs (10 oz. for $43) which were delicious. The wine selection was good as we enjoyed a Rodney Strong Red Blend. Our server was excellent and we were surprised that he had to bus his own tables. No one wants to work as a busboy, apparently.
The food was great as always. We took our daughter & her husband and two children out for a special treat. Our granddaughters are 5 and 11. Our waiter didn’t even ask if we wanted a kids menu. We waited a long to for him to take our drink order, then waited even longer for him to come back and take our order, and so on and so on. I realize that most of the customers did not have children, but was disappointed in the lack of attention we received. If the food wasn’t so good we would not ever come back.
The food at Shaw's is always excellent. The bisque is always a must have!
However, our service experience on Sunday at lunch was disappointing. Our waiter had a large table and focused almost all his attention on that table. Our meals arrived at the table at separate times and no one ever checked on us. We even had to pour our own wine refills. Finally, it was really something that dessert or coffee was not even offered. I know that restaurants are struggling with manpower, but for what it is worth, he had, as far as we could tell, three tables.
Pales in comparison to brunch buffet they used to have. Will not come back again for the brunch buffett. Will still consider it for a regular meal, but definitely is off our brunch list.
We’ve made reservations at 7 but were not seated until 7:15. No big deal but I specifically requested (when I made the reservation) for a table in the main dining room and they tried to seat us in the bar area. The food and service at the table was amazing though.
Originally we requested outdoor seating but do to rain we got an inside table. As we didn’t feel comfortable, we ordered to go. We normally go to Shaws for special occasions and normally it is great but the food this time was really disappointing. My husband ordered a surf and turf with shrimp and filet mignon and both where terrible. The meat was tough like a rock, burnt and the inside looked green. The shrimp were tough as well. When you are paying over $50 dollars per person, you expect a little better quality. This time was bad.
This was not a special occasion. My husband has a walker and they stuck us in the bar area. They said his walker needed to be placed in the closet, which I understand. But we could have sat in the main dining room and still had his walker in the closet. The bar was noisy, the bar tender was constantly using his shaker to mix drinks. If I wanted to sit in the bar, I wouldn’t have made a reservation. I would have just walked in.
Waiter was nice, couldve mentioned his name and seemed like he didnt want to spend much time except to ask how it all was. Maybe he's shy
Our waiter was excellent!! The food was amazing and we were there for our anniversary!! It’s the people that make the difference!!
