Shaw's Seafood Salad
Food and service was great as always.
Mike the waiter is exceptionally great.
Thank you for a great experience.
Great atmosphere and absolutely everything was prepared perfectly. The surf and turf for two is the perfect meal.
Pricey but good.
Celebrating a birthday. Food is fantastic as always.
Im totally not an outside person, but the food made up for the warm humid conditions. The new England chowder and shrimp linguine are my go to dishes. I also created a special drink a a peach mojito it was so good.
Our server #412 Luis was both attentive and helpful with dinner and wine selections.
The brunch was so delicious. Generous portions and the service was excellent, will definitely return
I am so sorry to report this negative review. We have been customers for a very long time. Saturday night was a very bad food experience. Crab cakes were bad ( like filler in there not much of real crab ). Caesar salad way smaller, Buffalo shrimp ( very small and only 4 ). Overall terrible. Skimping on everything.
Also when being seated asked to be at a certain area and we were told that area wasn't open. Not 5 minutes later a couple was seated there. NOT HAPPY. Probably will not return.
Last night they didn’t live up to their usual food quality, and the drinks were shy, mostly ice. The music was too loud, hard to converse.
Very good food. Our waitress was doing great even with a large party in her section plus us and the other tables she had.
Service, food and ambiance in the oyster bar is always great!
The bar made excellent vodka martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives. The oysters were excellent and the fried calamari was very good. I had the King Crab legs (10 oz. for $43) which were delicious. The wine selection was good as we enjoyed a Rodney Strong Red Blend. Our server was excellent and we were surprised that he had to bus his own tables. No one wants to work as a busboy, apparently.
The food was great as always. We took our daughter & her husband and two children out for a special treat. Our granddaughters are 5 and 11. Our waiter didn’t even ask if we wanted a kids menu. We waited a long to for him to take our drink order, then waited even longer for him to come back and take our order, and so on and so on. I realize that most of the customers did not have children, but was disappointed in the lack of attention we received. If the food wasn’t so good we would not ever come back.
The food at Shaw's is always excellent. The bisque is always a must have!
However, our service experience on Sunday at lunch was disappointing. Our waiter had a large table and focused almost all his attention on that table. Our meals arrived at the table at separate times and no one ever checked on us. We even had to pour our own wine refills. Finally, it was really something that dessert or coffee was not even offered. I know that restaurants are struggling with manpower, but for what it is worth, he had, as far as we could tell, three tables.
Pales in comparison to brunch buffet they used to have. Will not come back again for the brunch buffett. Will still consider it for a regular meal, but definitely is off our brunch list.
We’ve made reservations at 7 but were not seated until 7:15. No big deal but I specifically requested (when I made the reservation) for a table in the main dining room and they tried to seat us in the bar area. The food and service at the table was amazing though.
Originally we requested outdoor seating but do to rain we got an inside table. As we didn’t feel comfortable, we ordered to go. We normally go to Shaws for special occasions and normally it is great but the food this time was really disappointing. My husband ordered a surf and turf with shrimp and filet mignon and both where terrible. The meat was tough like a rock, burnt and the inside looked green. The shrimp were tough as well. When you are paying over $50 dollars per person, you expect a little better quality. This time was bad.
This was not a special occasion. My husband has a walker and they stuck us in the bar area. They said his walker needed to be placed in the closet, which I understand. But we could have sat in the main dining room and still had his walker in the closet. The bar was noisy, the bar tender was constantly using his shaker to mix drinks. If I wanted to sit in the bar, I wouldn’t have made a reservation. I would have just walked in.
Waiter was nice, couldve mentioned his name and seemed like he didnt want to spend much time except to ask how it all was. Maybe he's shy
Our waiter was excellent!! The food was amazing and we were there for our anniversary!! It’s the people that make the difference!!
Fresh and delicious
We all ordered fish - Shaws seafood salad, walleye dinner and crab cakes. All meals were delicious.
Delicious food, wonderful service and always a great time
Food was very average
Everything was outstanding, food was great. Service was good, atmosphere was fine.
Our waiter really made us feel at home. Thanks, Paul.
Waiter was excellent! I wish I new his name. (Tall, handsome, Hispanic). Gave excellent suggestions on food choices. Attentive and courteous without being overbearing.
As always wonderful
The meal was outstanding
We enjoyed the crusted Parmesan crusted chicken and our recommended the Alaskan Halibut and it was so incredibly fresh. An excellent meal in a wonderful setting
We had asked originally for a table not a booth. At first they told us there was no table available. After awhile they found one in the oyster bar and allowed us to use the regular menu. After that everything else was fine.
Aramis our bartender was excellent.
Excellent lunch and awesome server! Thank you Angel for your kindness and expertise
So disappointed and , no, I would not recommend this restaurant. My husband ordered the seafood platter and had to peel the shrimp himself (for $36 he had to do the work?) . I ordered the haddock which was supposed to have a lemon sauce with capers. I counted maybe 10 capers , tiny ones . Don't know why they bothered. And the lemon sauce? barely a drizzle.
The other disappointment was a group that was having a birthday party, about 15 people , I think. Loud , very loud group. I don't mind parties , not at all but this group deserved to have a separate room to celebrate so the rest of the restaurant could have a conversation and hear one another.
Great food! Sushi and fish n chips are amazing
We wanted fresh seafood. Started. Oysters. We’re. Very small.
Most main meals are mixed. Not fresh seafood. Only thing seen was in season 1 1/2#. Crab legs. Big ones. $$$$$
Consistently delicious!!!! Somewhat quieter than usual as not so busy (I assume because of Covid).
Overall the food was good. Steak was not seasoned well Service was very good.
