We had such an amazing time here! The service and food were outstanding. My boyfriend looked up who the Chef is and turns out she came from Chateau Marmont in Hollywood and at one point trained under Bobby Flay at Mesa. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back if we’re out this area again in the future.
Great atmosphere in the heart of downtown. A creative and well executed menu offered an adventurous taste experience yet kept things familiar and approachable. Definitely looking forward to my next opportunity to eat here.
It’s my daughter’s 21st birthday and it was a great experience. We reserved for 9:30pm and came in a little earlier. We waited at the bar by the lounge and had a drink. Before we got our drink, our table was ready. We ordered a dozen of oysters which are really sweet and fresh, you won’t even need lemons with it... which got us to order another dozen!!!
We did a family style and ordered branzino, whole snapper and paella!!! Everything was perfect... the taste, the amount of food and the service was superb!!! There’s nothing else I can ask for. We finished with a really good dessert and they even put candles for my daughter’s birthday. I would definitely go back here. Thank you a Robin for taking care of us!!!

I was there for brunch. Excellent but I spent $100 just for me. That is way too expensive for one person!!!

Such a great experience! Our server was excellent. She was so enthusiastic, described the food so deliciously, and answered our questions thoughtfully. We went in Friday, 2/7th. Lived the Parmesan truffle fries, paella, crab salad (so good!), and everything else we ordered. Will definitely go back!

You are always warned about the restaurant attached to hotel...Shaker + Spear vanquishes that myth. Our server, Rose, was passionate about everything S+S. She was so authentic-she liked working there-refreshing.
On to the food, started with the octopus app-delicious-done just right. Friend had the paella..a tad too moist for my friend...but the ingredients and combination was excellent-everything shined but complimented the other. Scallops unbelievable-fresh, huge, tasty...dessert-creme caramel with crispy cookie...interesting tart apple sorbet choice...might have gone with a rich vanilla ice cream but still a very guilty pleasure.
So good we returned for a second late night dinner at the bar. Josh directed us to the sardine starter and fried snapper main...wow.

This restaurant was such a blast! I took my boyfriend here to celebrate his birthday as the last stop on a day of fun adventures. We ordered the crab dip and crackers, octopus starter, whole snapper, seafood paella, truffle fries, and creme caramel! Everything from start to finish was impeccable but my favorites were the octopus and Thai-seasoned snapper. Not to mention, the server was so sweet and enthusiastic, she seemed to really enjoy her job and was incredibly helpful with suggestions for dishes. It was a bit of a risk to venture out of our typical celebratory dinners at John Howie or Daniel’s - but I am so, so glad we did. Without a doubt I will be suggesting this to friends and putting it on the list to come back to soon!
We had a fantastic experience the other evening. Food, drink and service were outstanding. My husband and I both had the arctic char which was cooked perfectly, and my husband inhaled his lamb meatball appetizer.
The service, though, really made our evening. We told the host we were going to a concert at the theater across the street after we ate. He mentioned he wasn’t aware of a show there, and later came by to update us that in fact our concert was at a different venue across town. The host had already asked the kitchen to speed up our order, and our server made sure we got out promptly to make our show. Such thoughtful and friendly service made it a wonderful experience, and we made our concert on time!
Interesting and delicious food. Great service. We were in a hurry, we’re given food recommendations that allowed us to make our show and still enjoy a relaxing meal.

Party of 2 reservations for 545pm prior to a 7pm show at the Moore... Seated on time without any issue even though they were fairly packed... Cannot say enough about our server being FANTASTIC!!! (I will update once I paw through receipts & find his name)... Great recommendations & very accommodating for dietary restrictions (I'm a pain & well aware)... Will definitely revisit:D

Everything was lively, festive and executed at a fantastic level for our NYE dining experience. From the maître d’ who greated and seated us, to Keegan, our waiter; every detail and in whole, it was about as great an experience as I’ve had in Seattle. Keegan was superbly versed at dealing with and suggesting menu items for a person w multiple food allergies. Aside from that, he was perfectly friendly and efficient! I have dined here before and been impressed, but maybe the festive occasion made it all that much better! Keep it up S&S, you are appreciated by these two diners (at the very least, but likely thousands more)!

Great! The food was fantastic.
We arrived early and the hostess graciously seated us. Crab dip appetizer and Delicata salad was amazing. Lamb meatball appetizer was tasty but tiny tiny portion for the price.
Biggest disappointment was the Rosemary Popover. Popovers should be hot, airy, light and steamy, but these were dense and cold. The outer crust was tough, it took major effort to rip a piece off and chew. Yuck.
The Chicken and Dumplings was ok. The crispy fried chicken skin was intriguing and unique touch, but the skins were over done so incredibly hard and chewy.
Service was friendly, but incredibly slow.
For the price point, it was an inconsistent dining experience which leaves me unenthusiastic about returning.
Delicious food (especially for seafood lovers), great ambiance with the right amount of dimmed light and moderate background music, amazing service with great recommendations from the server and sommelier!! Salt cod beignets, crab and sunchoke dip, Arctic char, and seafood paella stood out as Star dishes. Overall fantastic experience for celebratory family dinner out!
Fabulous from start to finish. My third time for the snapper and it did not disappoint.
The best duck confit I have ever had! Everything else was delicious, too. We shared 2 apps, 2 sides, an entree, dessert, and 2 drinks, and our bill was only $120, which I thought was a great value. Our server was so sweet, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave great recommendations. We were there for my boyfriend's birthday, and they made it special. I would definitely recommend.

The draft beer came in two sizes so I ordered the larger which turned out to be very small. That got the evening out on a sour note.
I ate here with my family, including my twin 7-year old girls. I would classify the food as fine dining, but the atmosphere was loud and slightly raucous so my kids blended right in. One of my daughters is picky, so we asked for the staple of noodles and butter and they were happy to oblige. The waiter was very helpful and enthusiastic and the food was divine. I had the salt cod beignets as the appetizer which were scrumptous but not as amazing as the rest of the meal. For my main courses I had the octopus and the duck confit. Both dishes were divine, but the octopus was next level amazing. My wife had the paella. We went to Spain last summer and she said that this paella was definitely comparable to some of the best paella we had there. Overall, this was one of the best restaurants I have visited in a long time.

This is a wonderful restaurant. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The salt cod appetizer was great, oysters were tasty, the charred octopus was fabulous, the Arctic Char was delicious, and the apple beignet really was delightful. What a nice treat to have all this great food and great service, too. Thank you.
I can’t express how amazing this restaurant is, from the service, to the food, and the ambiance. Each time we came in we’ve interacted greatly with the staff and as we make our way through the menu there’s not one dish that we do not enjoy. From chef Channel’s kindness and beast mode cooking, to the managers attentiveness especially Ryan, and the helpful and sweet servers like Mitch we are always in for the best experience with every visit.
Love the atmosphere and the service was awesome....friendly, genuine, warm. Beignets were delicious, brunch was yummy, though my burger was way overcooked. Def would go again.
Great service and nice modern atmosphere. The food could use a bit of work though as one of our appetizers came it cold - twice. Entrees were just Ok given the prices. Fun place to dine but don’t come in looking for a gourmet food experience
