We came to Shaker + Spear the day that my fiancé and I got engaged. The staff was amazing, they made the experience so special, and the food was unbelievable. We could not have been more blown away by this experience. We will be back again and again!
The scallops are amazing! Every dish is flavorful and balanced with precise plating. Great place to go for dinner.
This restaurant is run by an amazing team of people. Food and service were second to none, despite the fact that Seattle is struggling just to survive right now. We were made to feel more like family than customers and will definitely return! Don't miss an opportunity to sample their delicious offerings. If you are fortunate enough to have Karen take care of you, know that you are in the best hands possible!

Brunch was delicious, we had the Crab Cake Benedict and it was perfectly prepared, as well as the Bacon Cheeseburger with Onion Compote.
The Rosemary Popovers are a "must- have" during your visit!
Staff was professional and friendly. We will definitely return during our next Seattle trip.

We stayed in Seattle for four nights and dined here twice--it is that good. Lovely lighting and warm ambiance in a sophisticated open kitchen restaurant. Craft cocktails, good wine list, delicious seafood, friendly and knowledgeable and attentive service. The ginger Brussel sprouts with chilis were fantastic, scallop dish and clam/sausage/linguine dishes were outstanding, our non-seafood friend enjoyed the burger with truffle fries. Try the coconut panna cotta dessert--unusual and delicious.
Brunch was amazing!! The Crab Benedict was one of the best I’ve had. Service also outstanding. Will definitely be back.
We love Shaker + Spear for everything from casual gourmet dining to bringing out-of-town guests for a special evening. Our go to dish of Arctic Char has revolved out but last night we dined on an incredible Scallop dish — perhaps the freshest & most flavorful scallops we’ve enjoyed in our far flung travels. You can’t go wrong with a host of many other menu offerings. Robyn as a server has always been great (among several others we’ve come to know and appreciate), and we still marvel when we have the opportunity to watch and listen to her at the next table run through introductory remarks to first time diners. Chef Carolynn, orchestrating the entire operation from her post at the end of the kitchen counter, ensures you’ll feel well taken care of with creative cuisine difficult to replicate on one’s own. Amazing food and even better company. Our server, Rose took the best care of us, made appropriate recommendations and my clients enjoyed it. There was something for everyone. My new go to in downtown Seattle.
Eggs Benedict eggs were overcooked to the point of being hard boiled for our entire table. That was the only disappointment.

Shaker + Spear was by far the best dining experience we had in Seattle. The hospitality was beyond everyday expectation and the food blew me away. The Sassy Peanut + Chili Shrimp was a knockout, the Charred Octopus was a showstopper and the Rosemary Popovers melted in my mouth. The cocktails were perfectly crafted and we felt well taken care of from start to finish. Can’t wait to return!
We were a party of 6 and each of us thought the food was outstanding. The octopus appetizer was fantastic. Everything was prepared so well. Among us we had scallops, linguini with clams, chicken and dumplings, and paella. Each was delicious and we all love the brussel sprouts. If you are going to splurge, this is a great choice.
I reserved a table for my husband and myself for dinner before a show at The Moore. Having never been before, I thought I would have to rely of reviews from other sites, but was happily surprised to have our server be so enthused and excited to tell us about the menu. We started with the Salted Cod Beignets, which were amazing. I had the Scallops and my husband ordered the Pallela, both were prepared and plated with such care (we were able to watch the whole preparation as we were seated near the open kitchen). The flavors were fantastic and the overall experience was wonderful. 10/10, will be back.
Awesome new menu items for the season still love the dynamite shrimp new add but the Dungeness crab salad is amazing plus the pinxtos inspired by Spain bar snacks.
