tempura, spicy aioli, tobiko, green onion
Sean was our server and knows the menu inside and out. He had excellent recommendations from food to drinks. Reservations definitely recommended as they are a popular spot!
Waiter was the worst I’ve ever encountered at Shabu. He rushed our group the entire time. When we asked him to slow down the courses, he said that he had to rush because he had an 8pm reservation to accommodate (our reservation was at 6:30pm). Food was outstanding as usual but the waiter made for a subpar experience, especially given that we brought out of town guests.
It's always great here. It's our favorite sushi in PC.
Best Asian fusion in UT! We enjoy every dish we try here and it's a go to place for us now.
Amazing food and service. They could use a few more heaters for the patio but otherwise perfect!
Loud and overpriced for mediocre sushi.
Food and service was great! Did not like the ambiance in the balcony at all. Was hoping to get outdoor seating on Main Street but ended up eating in the back of the building against a concrete wall.
Shabu is the finest dining experience in Park City!
Atmosphere spoiled by Covid
If you are in Park City.... Please don't take my table at SHABU.... I don't want to tell you how great this place is because the more folks who know... the less likely I will get a table!! Man, I can't stand to tell you or anyone else how fabulous this place is. UGH... Please don't take my table.
COVID dinner on the back patio was a complete JOY! Staff was careful in their service, and very pleasant. BEST DINNER OUT this summer.
Our favorite place in Park City, hands down.
Fun, sociable, and great food. What more can you ask for?
We had a nice dinner on the back patio at Shabu. Very cool to walk through the art gallery on the way to our table. Unfortunately the heat lamp ran out of fuel during our meal and they didn't have one to replace it. It got very chilly but our server did a nice job of bringing us hot water to help ward off the cold. Food was tasty and good portion sizes.
Great food, service was very slow and inattentive.
Great food. Dedicated chef.
Always a must go too when I am in Park City. Chelsea, our waitress is so friendly and very energetic. She also is right on target for recommendations, even for no sushi lovers. Their cocktail and wine list are super. Highly recommend Shabu!
By far this has been my worse experience in park city main st. Sushi was horrible, beer was warm and sever was absurd. So disappointed.
great as usual~!
Excellent food and service.
Amazing food. Firecracker shrimp is a must. Komodo dragon roll was my favorite..
We celebrated our first night of our anniversary weekend get away at Shabu. My brother recommended it and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Food was amazing and the service was fast and very personable. I would recommend Shabu to everyone.
It saddens me to write this review as we love Shabu. As locals we always bring our out of town guests here, BUT Kevin, one of the proprietors, is flat out rude and absolutely ruined our experience.... crazy right?!?? To be asked to leave our table (check was already being processed) because of a 'line' outside the door (a measly 4 top waiting to be seated at 9:30 in the off season) is beyond rude, certainly unprofessional and then to engage in a back and forth dialogue as to how quickly we can vacate our table is enough to put a regular patron straight on the path to a different establishment. Great food, server Chelsey is the BOMB, but beware of an aggressive Kevin who will make an amazing experience an epic fail.
The sushi was just okay. Park city prices for mediocre sushi. We were seated right away which was nice. I know most places are short staffed but our waiter never refilled my water glass and the bartenders were taking off and on their masks.
Attentive & informing server. A little difficult finding back deck.
I haven't been to SHABU in years because I moved away from Park City. It was a treat to get to go again recently. Kevin and his team are still turning phenomenal food!
Sat for 20 minutes without any service, looked like the other tables on the patio we’re experiencing the same thing so we left.
Firecracker shrimp, shashito pepper, miso glazed cod, dim sum, excellent!!!!
Overall, we had a decent experience at Shabu. We were on vacation, in a fab mood, and really enjoying one another's company. Nothing could really bring this evening down.
In hind-sight, we would not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an amazing service experience.
Our sever, Sean, was very distracted having (we counted) 6 tables including a large party. It was very challenging to get his attention let alone recommendations, or even just damn soy sauce. When he did come over it was in response to another staff member giving us attention - he clearly felt threatened by others presence at our table which reeks of negative management. He also repeatedly vocalized degrading comments to the young female staff member in front of us and her - who was frankly providing better service than him or the manager. My husband and I felt the need to boast her continuously afterwards to ensure she understood the value she provided to our evening.
We witnessed the manager very loudly get into an argument with our server at the host stand - which was very uncomfortable to say the least!!
Overall, the dining room was loud, unattended, and smokey (please turn on vents in the dining room! My husbands eyes were watering most of the meal).
Always like dining at Shabu! The ambience could be a bit improved. And the seating is pretty uncomfortable. Hard seats! Bring something to cushion your tush if this bothers you. Several of us have lower back issues in our family and sitting for the time it takes to dine is really hard without a little padding. It would be nice if they changed this a bit. The food however is really good! I always like what we order, as it is always well presented and flavorful.
We add higher expectations
Delicious menu. Lots of options. Very fresh and flavorful.
What an excellent dining experience. FAST service and the quality of the food and flavors were so so good. We cannot wait to return!
We arrived early for our reservation and were seated right away. Our server was great and had a great personality! Food was delicious, definitely recommend!
Nothing great to mentioned.
Food was average at best, didn’t look fresh for the poke/sashimi part of it.
Scallops were kind of Texmex style, a little unexpected in a Japanese place.
Poke was really small (for the price) and not tasty at all.
Seafood Tempura was so so, at least decent size for the money.
And I got some tempura sauce spilled all over me from the waitress.
On the bright side we had a nice walk to and from the restaurant.
Hot Rock waygu beef is the best beef ever, ponzu butter, mmmmm.
Pear arugula salad is wonderful.
Excellent from the food to the setting to the people!
Amazingly fresh. Server gave us great suggestions. Overall 10/10!
We sat in outdoor upstairs patio, which we greatly appreciated!
Sean was a super waiter. Helped my mom into a better suited chair after having a recent fracture. Just an all around good experience which is why we continue to come back when we get to Park City.
I scheduled this reservation so my husband and I would be inside for the ambience for our 11th anniversary. When we arrived they told us that we had to sit out on their patio in the street. It was not romantic at all. Our server was nice but I was very disappointed to be put ou with all the street noise for a celebratory evening. Not sure if I’ll make a reservation here again.
