   The food was phenomenal and our server was EXCELLENT! Tyler was friendly and knows that menu well. He gave us terrific suggestions and really enhanced our experience at Shabu! We can’t wait to come back!

   The restaurant is small and the tables are very close to the bar. The loud bar conversations often drowned out the music and the table side conversations. Our server, Chachi, seemed aloof and distracted. He continued to stare at the bus boys and seemed frustrated by them. Chachi’s attention was more on the bus staff than the diners. The food was good, but the sushi was just ok. The sizzling terriaki plate and the udon noodles were good. I would not return, because the service didn’t match the price point of the restaurant.

   It is a family favorite, and we enjoy the food very much! Everyone is so friendly, and you can not go wrong with the hot rock, fire cracker shrimp, and pot stickers. This time I tried the ramen, and it was so flavorful. It is a family owned restaurant where their staff are treated as members, and it shows. It is always a good time at Shabu.

   Have been here before on a previous visit to Park City and it was amazing and knew I had to come back. Last night’s meal was a tad disappointing tho, the sushi and rice was just off. It happens.

   The noise was so loud it was deafening and absolutely uncomfortable. We couldn’t wait to get out of there. We could not even hear our waiter try to speak to us. It was a horrible experience we will not ever come back.

   We ordered a $52 cod that was undercooked and flavorless. The spice level at this place needs to be adjusted down as well - I can normally eat Szechuan food just fine and theirs was too much. Over seasoned with miso. Dishes were either too salty or too spicy or not seasoned enough or under cooked. Sushi was mediocre. They had the tables crammed so close together my elbow was right next to the person at the other table. They don’t have proper shades for light and bright sunlight was bothering my son. Service was overly brusque. Prices are much too high for what this place is. I will not be returning again.
