Beautiful view. Fantastic food. Great overall experience.
hadn't been out since covid hit. We expected the prices but expected more choices on the menu. Was disappointed with only one german entree at a German restaurant. Had a very scenic table since we made sure to get there early.
My Old Fashioned mixed drink was made as requested. The baked onion soup was very good and not too salty. The offering of a mini schaum torte was perfect. Just enough to finish off a great evening.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary here because we got married outside right here 5 years ago! We got a table that overlooked that space and reminisced on the day and the beauty of it. The included desert was very appreciated. Our evening was almost as magical as the day was 5 years ago. Thank you Seven Seas for a lovely evening. You did not disappoint. We will be back......
Sat outdoors and had a very nice meal. Cocktails were great, food was great. Wait person was not 100% on her game but acceptable. Great view of the sunset over the lake.
Beautiful views of the lake. Great setting and ambience. Friendly staff and good food.
We had a 6 pm dinner reservation, but decided to eat all fresco on the patio, which also apparently meant we now had to wait in line for a table. They were so busy. After an initial "We'll be right with you" from a server, it took us more than 20 minutes to be shown to a table that had been sitting open the whole time and this may have gone on longer had I not gone back inside to get the host to advocate on our behalf. I went to the bar to get us started on drinks. Thankfully, I didn't have to serve our own food. Our server kicked in and the rest of the night - food, view and even service - was terrific.
Great place but totally under staffed and under trained.
Our waitress was running like crazy, not her fault but
Device was very slow. Sat for a long time before someone came over and then ordered drinks and she never came back and we then had a new waitress who worked very hard. No management present to manage.
This is not new, been here a few times and same problem.
Understaffed and under trained.
Our waitress was great, but had so many tables. Felt so bad that she was running everywhere. The front hostess was awful, kind of think she is an owner which is worse. Not my best experience.
Menu has been cut down quite a bit but still an assortment of good offerings. Service was excellent and food was good.
The restaurant was very good. We had a private room overlooking the lake which was very nice. Service was a little slow, but they had a wedding event so understandable.
Awesome experience, sitting outside enjoying the scene!
Fun summer evening on deck with great food and music!
Had a wonderful evening outside with my wife for our anniversary. We enjoyed the scenery, great weather, delicious foodn and even a live band.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. Consistent good food and service. They have an excellent weiner schnitzel. Tempting dessert menu. In summer we enjoy eating outside. We have been coming here many years.
We had a reservation for indoor seating. Outdoor seating is not reservable. We asked if we could wait for outdoor seating. Was told it would be 30 mins. It was 20 mins. Waitress was very attentive and pleasant. Our food order came quickly. Shrimp skewers and a salmon dish. Both cooked very well and flavorful. The salmon was excellent. Asparagus side was also cooked very well. Rice sides were fine. Beautiful setting, with live music at the outdoor seating area.
Hunter was our server and he was great. Ambience outside was terrific.
Outdoor setting could be better with chairs and tables. Old Outdated plastic chairs when you are paying over $30 for a meal doesn’t seem right. Also it would be good if the meat was labeled on the menu of how many oz’s you are getting. My husband ordered a fillet and it was so small..child size portion. Overall we would only go back for sandwiches so we would not feel disappointed.
Excellent food and excellent service! Always love coming here and will continue to in the future
Great service, food, view!! Social distancing was adhered!!
Seven Seas and its sister The Golden Mast never disappoint. Each time it is as if were were away on vacation, if even for a few hours.
The food and the service was excellent. The scenery was perfect. Will definitely be back.
The overall experience was very good. It was disappointing, however, that the menu was extremely limited. We probably won't go back until the menu is expanded. Becvause of that limited choice I would warn people about that fact.
We were looking for something other than the local pub but not so upscale that it NEEDED to be that “special only once in a while” place. Seven Seas provided just the place; great service, good food, wonderful view and optimal location for us.
Periodically multiple times per year I drive 45 minutes to eat here. The owner, workers, food a scenery always make the simplest get together perfect.
The coconut shrimp was EXCELLENT! So was the view.
We have visited Seven Seas at least 3 times this summer to enjoy their beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the lake! Food and service have been amazing every time. Because of the need for outdoor dining and their wonderful location, this has become a place that my family enjoys more often than in the past. Seafood entrees (coconut shrimp, walleye, salmon) and steak tacos all fantastic!
Two 50 something friends decided to do Sunday brunch overlooking the lake before heading to recently purchased new house in Ottowa. Couldn’t have been more pleased. Definitely will do this, or dinner, in the near future.
All four of us had a delicious dinner with a great view of Lake Nagawicka. The walleye that three of us had was wonderful, as was the prime rib our 4th diner enjoyed. Very good service and appropriate social distancing.
We were looking for lakeside dining to celebrate anniversary and were not disappointed.
Food was good and the service was good. We both had the prime rib and was very good.
Like the last reviewer, we also had a disappointing experience. We made reservations online and requested outdoor seating. When we got there, we checked in and were told to check in again with the bartender outside. We were given a pager and waited for over 45 minutes. When my husband checked with the bartender about when we could expect a table, he told he we had only been waiting 15 minutes (we had waited 45). The bartender also insisted that it was 8:30 p.m. when it was only 7:45 and still light out.
The bartender was extremely rude to my husband and no one seemed to care about whether we stayed or left, so we left. Very disappointing and expected much better service, especially under the current situation.
When we checked in after having requested outside seating, we were told to see the bartender outside who told us he didn’t work with reservations & we needed to check in inside. We went back to the desk & they said that we could be seated inside. We were taken to a crowded section which was unacceptable to us. No wait-staff that we saw were wearing masks. We weren’t comfortable with the lack of accommodation for us & went to a different restaurant.
My wife and I had a very nice experience at the Seven Seas. The food was great and the service was just as great!!! On a side note: there french onion soup is the best Iv'e ever had. We will be back.
After waiting 45 minutes for our 6:30 appointed time, I almost walked out<\,what redeemed was all 5 of us thought the food was very good.
Went here for our anniversary as they had outdoor tables by the lake. Would have liked to see masks on the staff, but being outside helped. Had only been here years before and this time had great food. We all had the walleye and it is the best I have had since we moved here 5 years ago. Very nice glaze, good rice, and nice veggies. Strawberry Schaum Torte was the best I have had in decades! Melt in your mouth! Terrific meal. And a charming young waiter who was green but very earnest.
We first came to Seven Seas in 2008 with a partyof 50 to celebrate my son's gradiation from St. John's Northwestern Military Academy. It was perfect then and great to return 12 years later. I highly recommend the Restaurant for a special experience.
We sat outside. Safe for Covid and beautiful view.
We sat outside for Fathers Day brunch. It was abeautiful sunny spot overlooking the lake. Server was efficient courteous and made great suggestions when asked. Food was very good. We will be back
