The Seven Seas has been family owned and operated since 1981 and enjoys a fine reputation for excellent steak & seafood and attentive service in a hospitable and beautiful atmosphere. The Weissgerber family and staff will be happy to serve you and your guests.
Our server, Debra, was sweet but seemed spread too thin in our dining room. Waited longer than usual for refills on cocktails.
Will definitely visit again! Food and atmosphere were on point with expectations. Would love to visit during the summer months.
Mood was great..food was great..coke was flat...twice...food took 30 minutes. Still will go back for the food
Sunday Family Brunch was amazing. Options are good. All the food was great. Definatley will be going back
First time visiting even though we live in the neighborhood. Salmon was excellent as was the filet. Service was outstanding and everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome, answer our questions and make sure they exceeded our expectations. So glad this is on the neighborhood, we'll likely become regulars
Dined for Wine Dinner. Outstanding gourmet food! Perfect for a foodie! Wines paired perfectly! Hats off to the chef and his team!!
There were 4 of us and all of us had excellent food. We also commented while we were there on how quiet it was since a lot of restaurants now have the high ceilings that echo. Of course we are always looking for low price but with the quality of the food, it was a great value. Can’t wait to come back and see the view in the spring or summer.
If you are looking for a really nice romantic experience, great food, great service a a nice quiet supper club, this is it. The bar serves excellent wines and beer as well as mixed drinks. The food is prepared exactly the way you asked for it and the waitress merely checks on you at the appropriate times. We love this place especially when we get a table along the windows over looking the lake and the sunsets!
I like Lamb however my serving was not good here. It had a very strong taste and the cook overdid the charring . I should have ordered a more conventional German entrée or seafood. My wife's bone in New York steak was just o.k. Not a good cut. Bartender made a very good Rye Whiskey cocktail. They have a nice wine list and I recommend the Pino Noir from Oregon.
excellent restaurant. The food, the staff are always the best.
Our first visit to Seven Seas. Food was well prepared and tasty.... Service was EXCELLENT by Stanley...as she was very attentive. The prices seemed high....this was the main drawback... We will probably come back for a special occasion.
My wife and I have been coming here every year for New Years Dinner. we have never been disappointed. Looking forward to next year.
For a 2 hour and 20 minute dining experience, we were disappointed. Main focus was on a group of 17 and neglected the smaller tables in the area including our table. Not to mention the group of 17 came after the smaller tables were seated. We were served water once, we were asked how everything tasted once, never asked if we would like coffee, dessert, after dinner drinks ... nothing! We had to flag our waitress to bring us carry out boxes and more water. Still no offer if we would like anything or ask how everything was. Once the boxes were delivered, we asked for the check. She came back to our table and forgot the check. Once she brought us the check, I inquired about the Seven Seas mobile app and she knew nothing about it. The app is new to us maybe new to the wait staff.
The food was great service was very good. Excellent overall. Would go back in a heart beat.
Seven Seas has the best Sunday brunch. Great food, service, and value. Beautiful view of Lake Nagawicka. My favorite place for brunch.
Jean Luc was our server and he did an excellent job. Food was great - only thing that we didn’t really care for was the bread. It had what looked like a lot of interesting elements but was bland. Very enjoyable dinner for our group.
Drinks were powerful, steaks were delicious and our waitress Debra was totally committed. We had the filet and ribeye and both were cooked to perfection and among the best out there. Though we appreciate the overall ambiance of Seven Seas, it seems caught somewhere between 70's supper club (which is awesome) and late 90's culinary decor. (For instance the bar lounge/overflow area, or the fish tank) The coat room seemed messy and having the open office in plain site ruins some of the magic. I think an update that honors its supper club roots would be outstanding. I'll leave that to the experts to decide what that means exactly...Maybe a Gasthaus themed Rathskellar? Maybe large historical supper club photos? In any case we'll be back again!
Food, service, and drinks were a wonderful experience. It was my son’s birthday and his server got him a scrumptious dessert. The mushroom appetizer was different and delicious. I can hardly wait for our next visit.
We all enjoyed our meals and the great service. In particular people liked the Walleye Pike dish, the scallops and the traditional German entrees. We are looking forward to a return visit.
Had a fabulous meal at Seven Seas! Our server was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect. I will definitely be back.
Our table was ready when we arrived, we enjoyed a nice drink before our meal and the meals was made just as we ordered it. The view of the sunset over the lake on a cooler fall day was beautiful. Service was wonderful and the cost was not overpriced on our opinion. I would recommend Seven Seas to anyone asking.
I feel that your price point is high! I had the ahi tuna. I think it was just okay and not worth the money spent!
Had a lovely dinner - look forward to next year's Anniversary!
The food and ambiance were very nice. Unfortunately, despite having a good server, our meals and check took forever. A simple meal shouldn't take 2 1/2 hours. They need to hire more servers.
We enjoy the family style brunch. Although the omelet was excellent, the omelet station was far from the table and I waited a long while for my omelet. Omelet maker was also doing waffles and the iron became too hot so the waffle stuck making it hard for him to prepare both. He became concerned to get the burnt waffle off and made us stand there for our omelets. Hire someone to make waffles separate.
This was our first visit to this restaurant and had a 6:30 reservation. We got there about 6:15 and they said it would be a 20 minute wait for a window table. At 7:00 I asked what is status us table and they said it would be soon. At 7:20 we were finally seated, but it took another 15 minutes for the waitress to show up. We greatly enjoyed the food that we ordered, so would recommend the food, but not the service.
Table for two, Sunday Evening. Restaurant was not yet busy, so we had a quiet dining room with a view of the lake. Food was delicious. The chocolate torte was terrific !
It’s a nice place to go once, because of the setting.
I would recommend trying their grill or patio vs the restaurant. The view is beautiful. Unfortunately, we sat 20 minutes with no waiter, water, or menus. The waiter waited on a large party that came in after us first, further delaying our dinner. Like most reviews state, service is not stellar. Training is likely a good first step. This could be a great place, instead it is average.
Each person in our family of five from 5 to 76 years of age enjoyed the meal. The waitress was very accommodating of our grandson. As always, the experience was very enjoyable.
We sat outside and their patio was beautiful! Small - would be nice if they could expand with those views but food and drinks were great.
7:15 reservation, and we were not seated till 8:40. Waitresses emptying tables and we were the last people in there trying to eat dinner. We will not be back.
We didn't get to sit by a window as requested. In fact, we were sat in a corner where we couldn't even see the sunset. The next closest table to us was a large birthday party that was very loud. I'm sure there is always a demand for window seating but there is also outside seating and bar seating which wasn't even discussed as an option for us.
We do love this place otherwise. It's not only about the seating.
Needed more wait staff. Had to wait entirely too long for entree (1hour) and 30+ min for bill after dishes were cleared. Single waitress had to take care of al diners.
Beautiful ambiance and setting. However, food was sub par and service was extremely slow even though very friendly and polite.
Beautiful setting on the lake with large windows in the dining room. I tried one of the German entrees and it was excellent. Friends also enjoyed the prime rib.
Family get together
Great meal, great sunset over the lake
Four of us went here for an enjoyable Sunday brunch at 1 pm. Had a panoramic window seat in this beautiful classic lakeside restaurant on clear Lake Nagawicki.
Seven Seas has been the home of nearly all of our family's major events for a few decades, and they have never disappointed. Everything has been consistently wonderful ever since our first meal there! You can't go wrong making this place your home, too! Anne Ricker Cunningham
