The Seven Seas has been family owned and operated since 1981 and enjoys a fine reputation for excellent steak & seafood and attentive service in a hospitable and beautiful atmosphere. The Weissgerber family and staff will be happy to serve you and your guests.
We haven't been to Seven Seas for over 10 years. Out of sight, out of mind. Boy, have we been missing out. Everything was 5 star from the food (great chef who made our eggs.) to the service. Holly was super but a little over worked. (too many tables) We almost didn't write this review because we don't want a lot of new people spoiling the atmosphere, the noise level, etc. But, this place deserves the business.
First time at Seven Seas for a date with my husband and we loved it!
The ambience is very nice with the outdoor lighting especially during the holidays. The food is consistently good and our server was very good. I would like to see more German specialties comparable to Golden Mast.
A very nice New Year's Eve dinner. We did have to wait about half an hour past our reservation time, however I had asked for a window table, which we got... And it was perfect for the fireworks that the restaurant set off on the lake front.
I go to Seven Seas on a fairly regularly basis. The food is very well prepared, and delicious! The attached if professional and know what they are doing. It is the way most restaurants used to be.
Had a very good time. Food was excellent. The highlight of the night was sitting at tha piano bar with that guy that sang and played tunes. very gifted individual. Wish you would have him there more often. We would probably visit and eat there more often if we could enjoy the music, by him.
We had an excellent dinner on New Year's Eve. Great service, friendly, and not rushed. All our meals were well prepared. There was a special menu for the Eve but you could order off the regular menu too. The crab stuffed sole was excellent as were the wiener schnitzel and tenderloin. There were even fireworks and champagne at 11 pm!
The filet mignon was amazing -- could have cut it with a butter knife. Also one of the best wedge salads - the dressing was better than anyting I've ever had. Staff was attentive and very friendly.
Had a nice quiet meal with a woman I met for the first time. The food was delicious and the setting comfortable.
Food was great but way overpriced, restaurant was empty (2 tables seated) and we had to wait longer then normal to be seated due to the hostess on a personal call while we stood in front of here and waited patiently, along with 2 other parties behind us.. Rude
Celebrated an early Christmas celebration dinner with my husband, children and grandchildren, there were 8 of us for an early dinner. Food, service, atmosphere all amazing. My grandchildren’s ages are 3 and 1, we were served quickly and kids had fun too. I would recommend Seven Seas for families who would like a dinner out at a beautiful restaurant.
We have a birthday club and go out for Christmas so we wanted a place that was decorated. Well they had
the outside beautiful and the inside was glorious. We all ordered Saurbraten dinner which was so good . Just like my Mother-in-law use to make. I had a mini Shaumtort Strawberries and Hot fudge it was the perfect amount.
Ahi tuna was delicious. Nice view of yard decorated for Christmas
Delicious meals with enough authentic German food to compete with other versions of meat, poultry, and seafood. Very attractive presentation of each entree. All of our choices included very compatible sides. Excellent service both at the bar and in the dining room.
Hadn’t been in some time decided it would be nice to try again for a birthday celebration. Holiday decorations were really pretty great table by the window but that was the end of the good experience. It was a Thursday, not too busy a couple of larger tables. The service was the worst I have had in a long time. 615 reservation left at 840!!! Our waitress was unfriendly, disinterested and extremely slow. I like a relaxed dinner but we waited and waited for everything. Food was ok but not worth the wait we had. I told them it was a birthday as well with no acknowledgement of that either which was good because by the time we were done no one wanted coffee or desert. Poor service made it a tough night.
Wonderful location right on Nagawicka Lake. Perfect summertime spot but outstanding any time. Food is exceptional, if for a special event or just a night out. Attentive service to go with diverse menu that includes some German favorites.
Seven Seas is a lovely restaurant with a great view. The brunch is extravagant and very good. This is a great spot for festive special occasions!
Went to the Seven Seas for their Thanksgiving Day family style dinner, which was great. Nice offering served family style at our table for two people. The food was great and by the number of people that were in attendance, many others had the same idea that we did. It's greeat to go some place for dinner, when finished we got up and we were done. ONLY Downside - No LeftOvers... But it's a give and take.
Thank you to the staff and management at Seven Seas for a very enjoyable Thanksgiving Day 2018.
The best Sunday Brunch in Wisconsin! Served family style in a beautiful setting.
We have dined here for both dinner and brunch and have thoroughly enjoyed them both! Their brunch is a favorite for us as all but the omlette and pancake station are served to you at your table "family style" and the fruit plate is always plentiful and beautiful! Service has been mostly very attentive each time we were there. It is a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, especially with the lovely lake view!
Our first time in. The food was great! We started with the clam chowder and Caesar salad, both very good. The steaks... well cooked to our temperatures & delicious. I had the filet & my husband - the New York strip. The only thing we were disappointed in was the service. We noticed tables that had arrived after us had their soup & salad before us. Dirty plates sat for awhile. Just not what you expect when you pay 100 + for dinner. We might consider coming again.... & hope for better luck next time.
Excellent service with very good food. Seating was very good until a large group was seated behind us, making the wait staff traffic and noise undesirable, and distracting from our dinning experience.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the state of Wisconsin. We live a few too many miles away to make it a weekly stop, but we would if we could. Our weekend meals consisted of duck breast and Zwiebelrostbraten (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) and nothing could have been presented or prepared differently to make it more enjoyable. Desserts of schaum torte and apple strudel only put the capital letters into BEST meal we've enjoyed in a very long time. And Deloris, our waitress, was nothing less than perfect for us.
Seven Seas is a beautiful restaurant on a gorgeous setting. Service was excellent. Timing between courses was perfect. And all the food was delicious. Can't wait to go back.
Old decor, old servers, dusty old place. Decent food.
Disappointing experience for Sunday Brunch. The only hot food was if you got a pancake or omelet that the cook did a great job with. The Ribs, chicken, potatoes and Bacon were all cold and brought to the table before a 5 to 8 minute wait for plates to place the cold food on. VERY DISAPPOINTING IN THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. NEVER WILL I GO BACK. SEVER COULD OF CARED LESS IF YOU HAD COFFEE.
Had a wonderful German dinner with all my favorites. Apple strudel was OUTSTANDING!
Food was exceptional as usual. Service was prompt with a friendly, smiling waitress!
As usual, everything was top notch, that is why it is my companions favorite spot to take guests. Our table in the corner of the tower offered the right amount of privacy for lots of chatter
Unfortunately, there are not many options around. Service is really bad. The old hosted woman at the entrance is very rude, she has a very bad actitud and make us feel like she is doing us a favor to be seated, our party is always big, it seams like she don’t like it.
Hello, not much to add to the traditional excellent service and wonderful meals.
Sincere regards, Carol & Clark
My 17 year old son took his homecoming date and they accommodated a window view request. He was very please... and keeps saying how lucky he felt. Loved the food, atmosphere and impressed the date.
Comfortably for young adults...
Always my favorite for special date night.
Thank you very much
The food was delicious! Loved the popovers! We'll definitely come again!
The menu and execution were great, but service was less than great.
Everything was AMAZING! The food was incredible, the service excellent, and the view was wonderful!
Our waitress was fantastic. We loved her. The food is to die for and the ambiance is wonderful. It is never too loud and you can actually have a conversation with your tablemates without raising your voice. Our son is 15 and has been coming with us since he was 18 months old. The one thing that is not listed but should be is that Seven Seas is family friendly. There were 2 children dining when we got there and if we had not seen them, we would not have known they were there.
Excellent food and ambience
We were there for a friend's birthday and sat in the Lounge area for dinner. The lounge menu and appetizer selection from the main menu are very good, there are many good appetizers, plates and salads to choose from. The chicken wings were over-fried but the wedge salad was delicious. Our waitress was slow (seemed more novice) and didn't check back enough, nor was the birthday person offered a complementary dessert which was disappointing since the reserveration was made as a birthday occasion. There was a fly plaguing us our entire meal. The view was beautiful though!
Nice views of the boating traffic on Nagawicka lake. The sailboats are beautiful to watch.
We celebrated our anniversary with fabulous Surf and Turf at the Seven Seas.
Great service with a beautiful lake view. We have been there before, and will definitely return.
