place was very crowded. Brian worked out our request for first floor table. He and staff are very accommodating. Food consistently good. Good beer selection as well. Mac&cheese- albeit not a healthy choice is "really" good. Tom - our waiter was truly refreshing and energetic. Great place to dine. Always feel welcome.
Always one of our favorites but the new chef has stepped it up a notch. The service was impeccable (shout out to Jackie, a true professional), the ambiance warm and welcoming on a fall evening, but the star was the food. The potato leek soup with pickled mushrooms and toasted garlic was smooth and snappy at the same time. The shishito peppers were enhanced by the shallots and the roasted acorn squash and arugula salad evokes the best of the end of the season. Can’t wait to see what else the new chef has planned!
Last Saturday was our first visit to Seven Quarts Tavern. The service was caring, friendly and never lacking throughout our meal. The menu selection along with the specials for the day were more than adequate. The chef is to be complimented as everything that we ordered was well prepared and tasted great! We are planning to return in the near future so we can introduce some of our friends to this new found treasure.
this is the 3rd time @ 7quarts. We were all in the mood for low key. We had a reservation which they honored. By the time our dining mates arrived the table was ready and waiting. The Bar area is small and on the whole they seemed to be under staffed. The salads, deviled eggs and Burgers were great. We've done Brunch here as well which was delicious. It is a bit loud, so if you are trying to have an intimate conversation you may want to try the upstairs room. The service on the other 2 occasions was on par...we'll definitely return
We love Seven Quarts! Great salads - grilled romaine is our favorite. For apps we love the shisito peppers and deviled eggs. I had the filet mignon on my last visit. Perfectly cooked and delicious. The staff is attentive without being annoying. Prices are a little high but worth it.
I love this restaurant! From the atmosphere to the food to the server, manager and hostesses. This is truly a tavern in every sense of the word. I have been to this restaurant many times and have only had very positive experiences. Try the Mac and cheese. The ribs are outstanding.
I drive by here every day and have even gone to a Happy Hour or two and finally decided to make dinner reservations here. We went for Huntington Restaurant Week, an annual week-long event where various restaurants in the area host special menus at a discounted rate. It also happened to be a New York Yankees playoff game. The combination of HRW, New York sports and Friday night definitely brought in the crowd but not once did I believe the food or service suffered at all because of it. Our food was great (ordered the fish tacos, burger and hangar steak). The bar is well-stocked and the Happy Hour is very enjoyable too! Our waitress and server were both very courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating - we even learned that it was the server's first day on the job! It's definitely a testament to the establishment's training and hiring process.
Our first visit was during dine Huntington. The pre fixe menu had such a nice variety of choices from the regular menu with no up-charges and you could really get a feel for the kitchen. The Octoberfest bake was creative and delicious. The shortribs were tender and full of flavor. The service seemed a little rushed for a later seating midweek. Other than that we had a very enjoyable meal and we will be back and we would recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried the yet
Had a martini at the bar before sitting down for dinner. Bartender (Doug) was friendly and accommodating.
My husband and I both had an appetizer and entree. Everything was over the top. We were happy with it all and had plenty leftover to take home. Our waitress (Andrea) was very pleasant and helpful with our questions.

been somewhat of a regular. As such the menu can get old. We ordered the specials tonite- with a modification on the preparation of the cod. Both the cod and the pork loin were outstanding. The biggest rub is the $1 dollar charge for pita bread. How petty!!!!
This place has potential but needs to be more consistently good. The atmosphere is good. We've had great meals here, and blah meals here. Sometimes the service is great and sometimes it is definitely not great. This place needs to develop consistency. We were coming here regularly and then stopped after a few disappointing meals . Just gave it another try with friends and 3 out of 4 of us were unhappy with our meals. That's not fun. And the waitress was so very nice, and trying so very hard for us to enjoy our meal but 2 of us ordered mussels and both thought they lacked flavor. One person ordered fish and it arrived cold and dry. The one who ordered steak liked his meal. I did like my vegetarian chile but the bowl was very small. The desserts were good. The burgers looked good as they were being served to another table, but at $21, i should be getting something better than a burger. I think the bar type food is good, go fancier and you might be disappointed.
We've been going here since they opened. It doesn't disappoint and always makes the belly happy. Ryan always makes his best effort to welcome you into his restaurant. He's super friendly, funny and accommodating. The chef is incredibly talented and creative! Their specials are out of this world!
The food was so great that I ordered a take out for tomorrow. The place is an old house that's very charming. Its cosy and friendly. Andrea, our server , is efficient and helpful but even more than that she's sweet and helpful. For my take out she spoke to the chef to see if it would hold up until tomorrow. This was service above and beyond. She was great. Our lunch was wonderful.
Walking into Seven Quarts is kind of like entering into CS Lewis' wardrobe and finding that you are in a whole new world - My husband and I truly felt like we were in a 17th-18th century tavern in NYC - The ambiance is so cozy. The food was amazing...We had amazing short-rib mac and cheese and the best tasting mussels I think I've ever had (nice change from the usual garlic and butter) - Our fish entree was cooked perfectly. Even dessert was 'to die for' (another one of those skillet chocolate chip cookie sundaes but this one actually tasted like it was made from scratch). Can't wait to visit when they have live blues music on Tues & Thurs. This is a local gem!
Our first time at Seven Quarts. Perhaps a Friday night @ 7 was not the best choice. They were slammed all at once. Drinks and Apps arrived right away, very good Moscow Mule, Kale/ Quinoa Salad and Kettle Chips. Tuna and Braised Short Ribs were delicious and not all that late in arriving considering the crowd ( including us ) that arrived simultaneously. Be aware, floors, walls, ceiling are hard and noise level was yell-worthy until everyone settled down to their food.
We will definitely return, but on a weekday night.
