Seoul Jung - Waikiki Resort Hotel Ratings and Reviews
As a local resident I wanted to try Authentic Korean Food and to my surprise it was really good.
They gave a lot of food and the service was fast. The staff was very helpful when making my menu selection.
I would recommend Seoul Jung to my family and friends, even our out of town guest.
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! What more could I say. The food, the service, and the staff was top notch. If you enjoy traditional Korean food, then you would be doing yourself a disservice for not coming to this place. And if you haven't tried Korean food before, then this is the place to start.
Very authentic Korean...the bbq is what we had, the meat was excellent and the accompanying pickled foods and assorted assured were traditional and very good. They don't get many mainland tourists I think as they seemed surprised and pleased to see my us...and they are very helpful with the service..
We ordered combo with tofu kimchi stew and fish. The food was very good, as far as I'm concerned (I'm not Korean), the problem was that the description of the dishes did not mention meat, while they did contain beef. I'm a vegetarian, so this was somewhat problematic. This is why the service is 3 stars, because otherwise the staff is very friendly.
We tried their lunch special. We ordered soon dubu which is a soft tofu soup and it was excellent. The soup was red but it wasn't spicy at all. It has a lot of soft tofu, vegetables with some seafood and it tasted so good. mm.. We also ordered bibimbap which was one of the best bibimbap that I had. It has a lot of various vegetables, barbecue beef and fried egg that you mix with rice and hot sauce. The best part was they all come with a piece of barbecue chicken which was very moist and tasty, so it was also a great deal! They have excellent lunch specials!
It is best to order many dishes and have it in a family style so that everyone can try all different dishes. Seafood noodles is a must! The four of us ordered seafood noodles, kalbi, butterfish and natto bibimpbap. They were all so tasty with full of flavors. The seafood noodles have generous portion of shrimp, mussel, clam, etc and vegetables and the soup had so much flavors. Their new dish, natto bibimbap was also a great healthy food and the kalbi was just superb.
They have great lunch specials and the parking is always free!
It's a good sign when you are the only diner who does not speak Korean. It was a little hard to order because of the communication issue. It was a little hard to negotiate dinner without a Korean dinner companion. I've had cream barbecue a few times in the past, but it has been more than a decade so I could've used a refresher course. I may have eaten things out of order and embarrassed myself one way but it was absolutely delicious.
We went there for Mother's Day brunch and my entire family absolutely enjoyed ourselves! The service was excellent, the food was exquisite, and the price was very reasonable. Definitely going to return to dine there again. Seoul Jung really made my Mother's Day special!
This was my first time going to Seoul Jung, so I had no idea how to find the place. After wandering around I discovered that it was actually discreetly hidden inside of a hotel/resort in Waikiki, making it all the more appealing as it had that "solitude" feeling to it. The ambiance and decor of the place were amazing right from the start, and the fact that you could grill your food on the table yourself is always a fun option. Like any good Korean restaurant, lots of side vegetables were given and portion sizes were very generous. When one of our orders got messed up, the staff gladly and quickly corrected their mistake and brought us another helping, fresh and delicious! The service was great and everyone was very friendly. Though it was a bit on the pricy side, it was well worth the cost of everything we got. I would recommend Seoul Jung for a special occasion, maybe an anniversary, or the holiday season like what we did. It is definitely a hidden gem in the world of Korean restaurants.
Food is a lot. Went for $39.99 all you can eat. Services is super good. Meat is a bit salty. I am buzz lol Soju one bottle is $16 hahahha. Nice like This place will come back with a group friends. The sauce is not spicy was expecting more spicy lol...duh but overall it's good experince.
kim yeo is our server she's amazing. The manager also kind come and check on us.
This place is a little hidden (2nd floor of a hotel, little signage), but was definitely worth seeking out. The staff was friendly and the food authentic/delicious. If you're into Korean food, definitely check Seoul Jung out for a break from the Waikiki crowds.
I tried Korean Barbecued Beef - Galbi and it's very juicy and tasty. Best thing is you can enjoy Gimchi with it. One of the best Korean Restaurant near Waikiki Area!
Place is neat located on 2nd floor of the Waikiki Resort Hotel in Koa Ave. My wife had Spicy Tofu soup. It was also great.
Staffs are also kind.
We were looking for an authentic korean BBQ style place and decided to try Seoul Jung. It was perfect with grilling our own meats and vegetables. The food was delicious and the service was very attentive and professional. We will be back again soon for more.
Five of us dined here last week as I had three friends visiting from Switzerland who had never tried Korean food. They were a bit skeptical having never tried Korean food but after tasting the pajeon and mandoo as appetizers (and liking them) they were happy to try other dishes. The meats were tender and tasty (I had them cook these themselves which was fun for them) as well the saba and fish jun. They also thought all the side dishes were a nice additional to the main courses. A fun experience for my tourist friends!!!
The restaurant was nice, clean, and the staff was courteous and friendly. The waitress assisted us with the menu. Her assistance was priceless. Will definetly have lunch there again. Their Easter Brunch buffet was spectacular. T enjoyed the Korean menu mixed with the American menu. Mother's Day Buffet was also good but just a wee bit pricey at $40. It is on my "where to go list" for good Korean/American food.
It was our family's first time to Seoul Jung and we enjoyed ourselves. The variety of food was just enough and not too overly done. Although it was a brunch/breakfast buffet, I think waffles would have been enough and not include the pancakes. Also, the bi bim bap station was nice and impressive and we could customize our order a little to our liking - even though it took a little effort to explain and be understood by staff.
The reservation process through Opentable was very smooth. We arrived at the restaurant early and they already had a table reserved for us; Seoul Jung is located on the 2nd floor of the Waikiki Resort and the self-parking is on Koa street (validated). It was a busy night with 80% of the tables occupied. Our server was a petite Korean lady who spoke little English, but was very polite and nice. We ordered three sets of BiBimBap GalBi BanSang (rice, mixed vegetables, beef and egg) and grilled beef rib, and I had the set menu with Kimchi stew and grilled fish. The prices here are a tad expensive compared to other Korean restaurants, but the food is to die-for! My Kimchi (kimchee?) soup was so good that I wanted more! We will return again!
I love the food and the staff. When we got there, it says that we didn't made an appointment but instead of dismissing us, they took us to a table knowing how busy they are. The staff was so friendly and nice. I think they got a great team. The food was great! I love it. I think it's worth it. It's a place where I'm willing to go again if I'll ever be back to Waikiki/
