Absolutely fantastic! Sego is a world-class dining venue and well worth a detour on your next trip to southwestern Utah. The food, the service, the drinks options, the setting, everything was perfect.

loved the food, they have a different/creative menu which the majority can be done as Vegetarian, so I really loved it, the food was great, specially their version of the Mexican elotes appetizer.

We made a reservation while visiting Kanab. When we arrived we were told to use our phone to look at the menu, I asked for an actual menu not knowing what they meant. Then my husband ordered and got a horrible tasting tea. Was told that we had to order our meat and veges separate, meaning extra price for a vegetable, and it was expensive! So we just decided to order and share a prime rib, then was told it would be $85 for a couple pound bone in, which I can buy a whole prime rib for half that even with high meat prices! So not wanting to have a meal without bread, a vege, or paying that much for a shared meal, we declined to order. Then we got a bill for the tea, it was $5!!! He only had 1 sip of it, I couldn't believe they charged us for it in the first place! It was all in all a horrible experience, we then had to try to find a place to eat on a Friday night somewhere else.

I wish I would have read reviews before going as it looks like there are some popular favorites. Our favorites were the cauliflower, ribs, duck lo mein and the falafel. I feel like we missed out on the mushroom toast and beet salad- oh well- we'll have to go back!

The broccolini, the cauliflower with white BBQ sauce, the Sego noodles dish and the swordfish were all so flavorful and delicious. The wait staff was very good.

We always have a great experience at Sego! Food is amazing every time! We just wish you didn’t feel like your hanging out in a hotel lobby.

WOW. That is the main word that sums up our dining experience at Sego. We had a hard time getting a reservation and settled for a 9 pm spot. Kristen called an hour prior and let us know we could come earlier. Terrific! The ambiance is terrific. Great music playing, perfect amount of lighting, cozy booths to feel intimate. It actually reminded me of what an old West upscale saloon would look like with the colors, lighting and ceiling. Super cool. On to the service and food. Top notch service. The staff was great at explaining the small plate concept and recommending how many dishes we should order for our group size. We ordered Salt & Pepper shrimp, Filet and Sego Noodles with crab and for dessert an apple tart. All were phenomenal! The star for us was really the noodles. I know, they are noodles but the flavors, the subtle spice, the crab...absolute heaven. I could eat them every day! Drinks also top notch. Love that they are using as much local state food and drink. What is the most amazing is the ability to taste things you may not get elsewhere and not have to spend $500. Superb meal, dessert, 2 drinks each for adults and 1 soda for the kid was $165. Try Sego's if you are in Kanab, you won't regret it! Also, make a reservation in advance!!!

Our food was as excellent as always. The service, however could have been better. The waitress was of absent most of the time and when very nicely asked to wipe the table before the dessert was served, because there was some mess on it, she proceeded wiping it with her hand instead of a rag. It was rather strange. For the price of the restaurant, the service needs to be better

Our meal at Sego was maybe the best we've ever had, except for the holiday special meals they've done in the past. Sweet and sour ribs, the Arizona beef, the fresh fish, avocado toast and dessert. Simply divine. The service, the food, the atmosphere, all great. It's not a cheap eat but it's absolutely worth the money.

The food was good but a little overpriced, which would’ve been fine except that our service was poor—I’d had a reservation for 2 months but instead of being seated inside, my party was seated at one of the two tables outside (it was about 40 degrees out) along with a group that had showed up late with no reservation. After that, our waiter came about once every fifteen to twenty minutes.

Great selection of small plates which are served to share. The grilled Caesar salad with egg crouton was a nice surprise. Ribs, charsu lettuce wraps and shrimp fried rice complimented each other. All had a kick of heat. The service was outstanding in all ways. They work very hard making sure everyone is well taken care of and happy with their meal. I would recommend Sego to anyone who is looking for a different dining experience.

The food was incredible! This was one of the best meals I have had. When we asked our server to compliment the chef, Chef Shon came out personally to thank us and wish us a happy anniversary. This is a very special place and I highly recommend.

Food was delicious but service seemed spotty. Lost our 1st waiter early in the meal. After waiting awhile we finally searched out staff to pay our bill. There was a large tour party so that may have been difficult for the staff. However, everything was delicious

Great small plates dining with an interesting variety - spanning “meat and potatoes” to more exotic combinations. The constant is the food is superb. Service is also very good. If you’re in Kanab, or within 100 miles of Kanab, this is the place.

Sego never disappoints. We ordered a couple of new entrees and a couple of tried and true favorites and all of it was good. The quality of the food and the experience is why we go, it's not an inexpensive dinner but you understand where your money goes when you experience it. Highly recommended.

Second time here. Great service to start but dwindled as the evening went on even taking into consideration Covid work situation. Food is excellent from the foraged mushrooms to the Duck Lo Mein, ribs and tasty drinks. Recommend an early reservation.

If you look at the menu you may either think it is very expensive and/or there is nothing on this menu that I want to eat. However, take a chance. Everything is shared. Food is outstanding with combinations I have never had. Don't order too much. They will give you guidelines that are more than you can eat.

Cons: face masks may be required but it means nothing. Half the staff were wearing mask, other half no. Tables were close, not socially distant. Service was good but under staffed so a little slow on a Sat night.

Bottom line - outstanding food. Worth eating here!!!! Just be careful and be vacinated.

Traveled to Kanab from the Bay Area because it was a central location to the Utah parks. Sego was at the top of our list of places to eat out here and boy did it deliver. This place reminds me of a tapas place where you order a bunch of items and share amongst your party. We needed up getting the filet medallions, the broccoli, and the ribs. Everything had an incredible level of seasoning, even the brocollini which at times can be a boring item. Our favorite were the ribs! Wow, some of the best I’ve ever had. For desert we had the banana bread pudding and chocolate tourte. Both were fantastic. Overall if you’re anywhere near Kanab this place is a must!

What an absolute gem of a restaurant in the small town of Kanab! My wife and I booked a reservation here while on vacation a few weeks ago and couldn't have asked for a better meal. Our server was attentive and ensured we had a great experience from the moment we sat down. Every local we spoke to and mentioned we were eating dinner here during our stay had nothing but amazing things to say about it and the restaurant certainly lived up to the hype.

If they're still on the menu when you eat here my wife and I highly recommend the pork belly and watermelon, and the elote fritters!

The food was good, especially for the tiny, National
Park area access town it’s in. The usual “newer” offerings—the ubiquitous cauliflower bites, and so on. Everything was heavy on the grease, it seemed. Not a vivid-colored, healthy veggie dish in sight (of the type we seek—light on the grease, with great seasoning and some actual protein as a sideline. The wine was great.

It was supposedly upscale place in town. The indoor area was small, dark, and smelled like lobby potpourri when we came in. The service was excellent, and they were trying their best.
