   Interesting menu that could be a bit more varied in taste profile. Dishes well-prepared and ingredients very fresh. Convivial atmosphere but unusual for a fine-dining restaurant to be located in what is essentially a hotel lobby.

   We went for my birthday. My husband and I have been before, but my daughter hasn’t. She loved it. Had no idea what a fritter was and tried duck for the first time. She agreed with me that the scallops are a must have every time!

   Ordered 7 different plates of delicious to share with our party of 3. Scallops, satay, cauliflower, mushroom toast, noodles, fried rice and shrimp. Every single dish was incredible! Thanks Sego for creating fine dining in Kanab ❤️

   I love this place....the sweet and spicy ribs were sooooo good. I came here to try the sego noodles. I was a little disappointed in the taste, but that was the only (very small) issue. The service was great-the food came out super fast. Also, the proximity to the all festivities held that weekend was really close...we were able to walk from the hotel to our event (balloon festival). I will definitely return.     Sego is the best restaurant for an other than average meal in Kanab. The chef has a flair for putting together unique tastes with unexpected ingredients. Sitting in the corner on the cushioned benches was not the best experience. The vinyl was cold(it was winter), and we kept sliding down on the slippery material. I have some unfortunate food allergies that prevent me from eating out much, but Sego offers vegan and gluten free dishes and were very attentive to my needs, which I very much appreciated.

    Food was excellent, we ordered the Artichoke & Forged Mushroom toast, a little piece of heaven in your mouth. For the main course we had the AZ Filet and Scallops both were absolutely delicious. The side of broccolini was ok. Overall a great dining experience.

    We arrived at 5:15 pm and ordered the mushroom appetizer, falafel salad, Satay chicken kabobs, and the pork spicy lo mein. The food was amazing but it took a long time. The service was mediocre at best. Didn't refill water or drinks quickly - we had to flag the waitress down. Despite the good and bad, we will be back.

    Sego is a must visit place in Kanab. Chef Shon and his team serve up a delicious meal. We have eaten here several times. This time we tried the Grilled Cheese which was really good and a surprising entre. For desert we had the Banana Bread Pudding and its now my new favorite. Splitting it was still plenty of sweets to finish off the evening.

    I have always loved Sego and have never been disappointed with any dish I've ordered - until the other night, Tuesday, Dec. 27. We shared the Grilled Caesar Salad which was delicious. The fried egg was a fabulous addition. We also ordered the Cauliflower Eggrolls which were very ho-hum. My friend ordered the Baby-back ribs and enjoyed them very much. I ordered the Swordfish special which was very disappointing. Sego is known for wonderful flavor combinations and the swordfish was very bland and a bit overcooked. There was absolutely nothing to recommend it. The service is typically also very good but about mid-way through our meal, it got busy and our server was no where to be found until it was way past time to present the check. As I said, this is the first bad experience I've had at Sego so I hope this was simply an off night.

    Perhaps because of Christmas Eve our experience was less than stellar both in terms of the food and the ambience. The noise level was extreme due children being present and the canned music that was unnecessary and ongoing which only served to further heighten the decibel level, making quite conversation difficult if not impossible. The food emphasis for the evening was Asian, which I found rather odd given that it was Christmas Eve, but more importantly it was really not fusion as much as a somewhat strange mixture of Asian and Southwest, which didn't really quite work. Furthermore, a couple of the dishes, Satay Ayam and the Dan Dan Lo Mein were quite unappealing. The Charcuterie was good, but overpriced by a wide margin, while the Full Artichoke and Foraged Mushroom Toast was excellent. The level of noise and the quality of the dishes served were very disappointing, which was surprising given our prior experiences when dining at Sego and will persuade us to look elsewhere.

    The mushroom/goat cheese/honey toast was ridiculous! Elote fritters amazing. Broccolini solid. The falafels were yummy, would be nice to have hummus for the pita. This place is so good!

    This hidden gem is located inside the canyons hotel. It is by far some of the best food we have had anywhere. And I am a foodie. The chef owner is creative with his dishes and the flavors are truly scrumptious. This was our anniversary dinner and we lucked out with the table for two in front of the fireplace. It’s a “social” menu meant for sharing 3-5 plates. My husband and I shared four different courses beginning with a mozzarella, tomato and prosciutto appetizer with our cocktails. It was warm and quite different from the typical dish you might find on many menus. The flavors just kept on giving. Each dish was equally tasty. We finished with a homemade peach sorbet made that day by the chef’s wife, who is also the pastry chef. It too was amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant and suggest making reservations in advance.

    Best menu in Kanab. Delicious food. Nice ambience. We were just very disappointed in the service. It was fine until dessert. The table next to us ordered the exact same dessert but we waited 15 minutes longer than they did even though we told the server we were in a hurry. Ultimately we had to ask another server to see if it was ready. Our server never acknowledged the delay or apologized. Spoiled an otherwise nice meal.

    Nice fusion concept, nice intimate place and nice people,, but the food was disappointing Duck was excellent, fried rice was ok, Saté peanut sauce was much to salty and ruined the dish. Wine is much to expensive , 12$ for a very small glas (less then 12cl) is not worth it, considering a retail price of this Rosé of 11.50$ per bottle.

    Sego never disappoints. We had the Walu and the foraged mushrooms and both were delicious - flavor explosions for the palate. The ambiance was warm and lovely and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Sego is truly Kanab's best restaurant.

    Sego was a great experience. The atmosphere is warm with good lighting and light music. The staff were attentive and responsive. And the food is awesome. Sego is a small plate experience restaurant. My wife and I shared 5 dishes plus dessert. This was very filling and we were starving from a full day of hiking. The cocktails were solid too. Certainly an great dinner place in Kanab.

    This is our go to spot when we are visiting Kanab. I can’t think of a restaurant with more consistency and mind blowing dishes. Every plate is like a unique adventure for your taste buds. No matter what you order, wether it is a beet salad or street tofu, or a special of the day, you are going to experience the array of flavors and colors that will leave a lasting impression. I’m so happy that we discovered Sego and I already can’t wait to go back!

    We were more than thrilled with our dinner at Sego. We ordered the Beets, crispy tofu, charcuterie board, filet and ribs and every course was amazing. We were watching others diners food come out and were so upset we didn’t order the prime rib because it looks drool-worthy. Portions were generous and the prices are very reasonable. We were pleasantly shocked at the value, and will definitely be back!
