Seasons 52 San Diego - Seaport District
Book your next event with us
It was our 33rd Anniversary. The table was set with pink/red rose petals and a card wishing us Happy Anniversary and a card for a free appetizer upon our next visit. Furthermore, we were given a dessert & champagne to cheer with for the both of us!
Started with the split pea & kale soup which was thick and delicious. My husband's beef dish was cooked to a perfect medium rare, but my Alaskan salmon was overcooked (I prefer to have some moisture in fish dishes). Our friend had shrimp & grits which I assume was done to his liking, because he didn't comment negatively about it. The restaurant wasn't terribly busy, but our server (Ariana, I think) never checked back with us until it was time to clear plates and show us the dessert tray. We have dined at the restaurant before and had more positive experiences, so we will try again sometime.
This is a very beautiful restaurant, when I made it back to work on Tuesday, I was telling everyone about this restaurant. We was celebrating Father's Day with nine guest. We all said the same thing, that we will be returning. Our servicer (Shawn) was very outstanding, he was available for whatever we needed.
For the first time, after many visits to Seasons 52, I found the Father's Day meal that we had to be lacking.
There were 5 of us. 2 of the five had scallops which were a bit overcooked and lacking much flavor, the tops of the broccolini was overcooked to the point of being reduced to an ashy mess. One of us had lamb loin which was just fair. 3 out of 5 so-so meals isn't a good reflection on what has been my favorite restaurant.
Great menu selections. Kid friendly menu. Excellent Greek salad, Copper River salmon, and boneless trout. One misstep, the black bean soup was served with sour cream which was specifically not requested. When replaced they had only removed the sour cream Second return was fresh without any traces of cream.
Overall service very good. Manager came by twice to make sure everything was OK.
Would definitely return.
On very short notice, we made a reservation and mentioned that we had just arrived in town to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The staff went out of its way to make it a memorable evening, including a long stem rose, champagne toast with a gift of signature champagne glasses, free dessert, and an appetizer freebie on future dining. Mostly, the staff just made us feel very special. The copper river salmon was delicious!
The staff and food was great. Very accommodating to a crowd
Cocktails rather expensive! Waitress was excellent. I had lamb entree which was disappointing— it was tough!!
The whole experience was excellent. The crab cakes and tuna tartar were a perfect start, followed with the Alaskan Salmon, which was fantastic.
We were dining with our son from Tennessee, and we all thought our food was great! Ambiance and service could’ve be better. Thank you!
Great service, great food, really enjoyed everything. Reservation was quick and easy.
It was awesome! They made our evening very enjoyable.
It was our 20th anniversary and stuff made us feel so special , everything was really good :) thank you so much ♥️♥️♥️
we went specifically for the copper river salmon , which was excellent! Service was also good, as was the appetizers and drinks. pricey, as always, but good. We had a nice, relaxing, enjoyable evening.
Cristina was superb! She has a magnificent manner, a wonderful smile and simply could not do enough to insure we all had an excellent evening.
“Why go anywhere else?”
The advertised Copper River Salmon was NOT available. The server took the order, then came back saying it was not available until later in the week. There was even a big sign outside the restaurant promoting the Salmon. Items should NOT be advertised until available - or at least stating a date when they will be available.
We had a group of 14, had a reservation at 7:15. We still had to wait around with the reservation. 4 of us got sick from the food, and majority of the portions are small for the price.
These words do not begin to express the depth of gratitude we have for your unmatched service manage, Glauco Estivaletti and unrivaled server, Chris.
These two turned our long-time favorite restaurant, our near weekly go-to best choice for dinner with friends and family, the place where we comfortably bring out of town visitors and VIPs, into the most special birthday celebration dining experience we’ve ever enjoyed.
Glauco and Chris created an experience for our table that left us all with a new tagline for your restaurant — “Why ever go anywhere else?”
Their service, their attention to every detail, their generous customer first attitude created a lifelong, memorable event.
Tonight Seasons 52 distinguished itself and earned the finest accolades we can offer. Thank you!

Season's 52 is one of my favorite dining pleasures. Enjoy the change of seasons for the change of the menu. Last night was trout and half chicken. We as always enjoyed our selections. The Seaport District is great because a 'walk' around the marina is always a must.
Very kind of Seasons 52 to give us a rise and complimentary champagne when they heard it was our anniversary.
It was our last night in town and we had made a reservation before walking to the restaurant from our hotel. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and promptly seated. Our server Chris was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Cocktails were nice. I enjoyed the pea kale soup. We both followed our server’s suggestion of the filet and were not disappointed. It was a very nice last evening in San Diego.
Lovely meal. Excellent pomegranate margarita! Both the tuna and halibut were superb.
Thank you...you are the best Seasons 52!!! Consistently great service and delicious meals.
I love this chain. This restaurant is easy to get to off Harbor Drive. I had the special, with appetizer, entre and desert cup for $32. They have lots of bar options. They do validate parking for the adjacent shopping village complex.
One of our favorite San Diego restaurants — but the last two times, the service was terrible. We sat in the bar area, and were all but ignored. The restaurant was not at all busy, while we were there. 7:30ish on Mother’s Day. Josh was a terrific server, but he was going off shift.
The food was delicious from the flatbread pizza to the seafood and steak dishes however unfortunately the service was not very good with an inattentive server. However the management made things right for us despite lack of an attentive service.
My first Mother’s Day
Good menu selections. The artichoke appetizer and shrimp and mushroom appetizer were very good. The main courses were tasty except for scallops, which were over cooked and rubbery. Desserts were also perfectly sized and yummy finish.
Mother’s Day brunch was a good deal!
Reservation was for 1:30 was seated at 2:25, close off reservations if you are unable to honor them. I was not for lack of seating available.
We have gone to Seasons 52 nearly ever Mother's Day since they first opened. We have always enjoyed their creative and seasonal menu. This year, it was a completely different experience. I am aware that Seasons 52 is under new management. So, perhaps this will explain why the food quality went down so badly. I would like to say that our waiter was absolutely wonderful. The service was fantastic. The food on the other hand was not at all what we expected from our previous experiences. My wife's scallops and risotto literally tasted like a bowl of salt. Both my mother's and my steak was severely dry on the outside and burnt and bloody on the inside. I reverse sear steak all of the time.. not sure how the chef managed that. My children ordered off of the kids menu and my son's mac and cheese actually tasted bitter. We ended up sending it back and he his dish was so delayed that we ended up purchasing him a meal at a different restaurant. Really bad experience. Not sure that we will come back again for mother's day or for any other day. If this change is because of the new leadership/management, then the food will probably not improve.
Great mothers day brunch! Would come back for special occasions.
Enjoyed a terrific Mother’s Day Brunch. Our server Bri was attentive and considering there were some new guys as runners during the anticipated Mother’s Day brunch rush, they were sharp and took good care of us. I don’t know who it was, but the female bartender did a great job educating her new runners and seemed to be really on the ball. The food as always is fresh, delicious and combined/plated well, Impressed!
This I am sure it is an outstanding restaurant for dinner probably lunch. Mother’s Day Brunch?, they just phoned it in with a couple of items. very few breakfast related items available unless you consider a split pea and kale soup a appropriate appetizer for a brunch
Valet discount info was a mystery to waitress.
Starters took 30 minutes to arrive (soup & salad)
Entrees arrived 5 minutes later
Gnocchi was not only over cooked, it was slightly burnt.
We had a large group and everything was perfect!! Great staff!
Amazing service and food, love this place
The food was really great and came out quickly. Our server was super friendly and very accommodating, especially with splitting checks as we are in town for a work event. I had the tuna tartare and it was fantastically fresh.
Open table res, seated promptly. Attentive waiter
Food was amazing. He did forget to show us the additional menu, which we might have considered had we known. However our waiter was very apologetic and willing to put the brakes on the order if we wanted to change our minds, but we did not.
The bottle of wine we wanted (Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio) was not available chilled and we were asked if we were willing to wait additional time while they chilled it. We chose another but definitely our second choice.
Two entrees were brought out while we waited to start eating for our third. This should not happen.
Excellent food though and if these couple of items had not happened, I’d say all in all it was excellent.
