Excellent steaks. Wonderful appetizers. Service a bit slow. We were there over an hour before our server took our order. 3 hours before we finished our meal.

The atmosphere and food were outstanding as was James our waiter. They tried to have all these others helping him and we felt like we were either being pushed to order and then no one there to take a drink order. If James could have been our only waiter I would give it a 5 but no one knew what we needed when we needed it and his helper could not even tell me what wine was an Oaky Charodnnay. We were trying to sit and have a few drinks before dinner, for the price of the food it was supposed to be a dining experience not rushed, but 4 different people stopped to ask if we had questions and we're ready to order. Then we sat without a drink forever.
Went to Seagar's to celebrate my wife's birthday. Staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. Food was fantastic and prepared as ordered. The only thing I would like to see changed is a dedicated parking area for restaurant patrons. The parking is for the Hilton hotel as well so parking was hard to find and a bit of walk after found. No one was attending valet parking. Great experience otherwise and would recommend to anyone looking for a great fine dining establishment.
Dining at Seagar’s is a true culinary experience!
Have been to Destin multiple times and haven’t ate at Seagar’s. This was a Great dinner! Steak Diane was awesome and was prepared table side made our experience even better. Will differently be back on our next vacation!
Great food. Poor service.
We usually dont mind spending the high prices at Seagar’s as the food and service is five star. However our last visit was disappointing. We were treating out of town guests and had raved about the place. Things started off well but our waitress spilled steak juice on the seating nearly hitting my cousin. I waited several minutes to find some one who could bring me a fork to eat my entree. By the time i dug into my steak it was a bit cold. My husband’s bone in filet was overcooked. I could have gotten a better meal at Outback for far less money. Im very sad as this was an incredible fine dining experience in the past.

My experience with my daughter was extremely sub-standard. I voiced our dissatisfaction with the service. Someone was sent to our table to offer apologies, but the problem was never remedied. While the food was still good, the service was so bad that I’m not sure that I will ever return... it was a terrible experience...
Chateaubriand was over cooked. Steaks could have had a little more flavor. Sides were delicious and the server did a great job. Needed more bar tending help for the dinner hours
Well....things have changed. The Hilton Sandestin has enacted a policy of no Golf Carts. No one told us this, so we were shocked when the security gate informed us of this. Both my husband and I are handicapped, and had come in on a yacht, so the only transport we had was a golf cart. I think this unpleasant experience really set a poor tone for dinner. I will say that the staff seems to have encountered this before, so they were friendly and helpful. But the negative tone hung over the entire experience and we never recovered. We were more critical of everything.....from the piano player who refused to play anything but one patriotic song on the 4th of July; to the thought that the $50 charge for fish just wasn’t worth it, and unhappiness over how long it took for cocktails. Our service was first class...which was really appreciated.
After truly looking forward to our evening, We left disappointed. And the kicker was when leaving the same guard recognized us and became unnecessarily aggressive about our “illegal” golf cart activity. So the Hilton Sandestin ( and unfortunately this restaurant) succeeded in preventing senior citizens from enjoying a special vacation dinner on the 4th of July....so sad.
The waiter avoided our table throughout the night while tending to all other tables around us. Management finally intervened but overall ruined our night.

Under normal circumstances, hotel restaurants are not typically known for great food. Let's face it, they usually think they have a captive audience of business travelers and can offer less than acceptable food and service, and get away with it. Seagar's DOES NOT fall under that mindset. They are focused on premium....well everything! Premium ingredients, preparation, presentation, and service. This discerning foodie gives Seagar's two thumbs -up!
We ordered the crab cake and it was decent . My filet mignon was good but a little cold, all the sides were very good. Service was bad, our waiter was taking care of five other tables including ours so the attention given to our table was slim to none.
Top quality steak and wonderful service. Personal favorite of mine. Staff is very kind.
The food was excellent!! John was our waiter and he made an excellent Caesar salad table side. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and definitely order the Bananas Foster for dessert, which is also prepared table side.
I was at Seagar's in April & it was wonderful. Went Sat., June 30, with 2 other couples. They seated us in the back room which was not where we wanted to be. Plenty of tables in the main room. I had grouper & it was luke warm at best. No one else's food was outstanding. Wait staff seemed to forget about us. It took forever & hardly came to the table. I ordered a glass of house Cab after my cocktail. It was $26. For that price, I would have picked out the type I wanted. Might give it one more chance but not sure

The most beautiful restaurant and the most attentive staff. I really want to say thank you to the two ladies at the front desk. I'd called several times about my reservation and they tried they're best to accommodate me Saturday the 23rd as I had my reservation wrong. So they gave me another time and were so pleasant and patient. My friends enjoyed their dining experience immensely!

We choose Seagar’s to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and wish we hadn’t. The restaurant is very nice inside and a good setting for a special occasion but that’s about all we can say good about it. Let me start off by first saying it’s odd how many people you have helping you at your table it’s never the same person and annoying. My wife and I both order steaks here medium well and mine medium her was cooked perfect but mine was raw. When they dropped of the food they didn’t let us cut them to see how they were before they ran off. I cut my steak and was very disappointed to see that it was raw inside then had to wait 5 minutes till the “captain” of our table came by and right away he could tell the steak wasn’t correct and asked how I wanted it cooked. He apologize and said that is rare almost raw and took it. We then waiting over 5 minutes for my meal to return and at that time my wife’s was cold and so were to sides. They didn’t offer anything for ruining our meal.
This has been our go to for fabulous food and impeccable service for years. Our last two experiences were such let downs. The food was amazing but the service was subpar at best. I even reached out to Seagars through FB Messenger on their site. They professed, BOTH times, to be sorry for our bad experience but did nothing to genuinely correct it . There were four of us in our party each time and each meal totaled at least $450. For this amount, we should have been treated like royalty, which was true until last year. How sad that this incredible dining experience has been diminished because of a pervasive few who forgot what an upscale dining experience truly looks like. I say with a heavy heart that we will not be back.
We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation. We were asked to take a seat in the bar/lounge area. It was about 30 minutes before our table was ready and we were never offered a cocktail. Once seeded there were multiple individuals servicing our table. Cocktails were still slow to be delivered. Food was great. In my opinion it was very loud which took away from the romantic portion of the date. Great chefs can venture off the menu slightly to accommodate customers. There was no deviating from the menu which was disappointing. The captian was amazing but he appeared to be spread very thin. There were many open tables and the wait seemed a long for as many open tables as there were.
Service is incredible. Food is delicious.

Our 46th Anniversary was topped off by fantastic setting, service and excellent food with knowledgeable and very comfortable attitudes. We have been in many very plush and highly rated restaurants and Seagar's is easily one of the best. Thank You for a lovely evening.
Poor service from beginning to end. Waited over 20 minutes for drinks in lounge prior to dinner. Server was very young man that had not been trained properly in dinner service. He was very nice and genuinely eager to please but had no clue in service techniques. Waited over 15 minutes for wine delivery despite requesting it immediately. Entree’s were outstanding despite over an hour wait from original order.
It appeared that Servers were overextended throughout the dining room and bar service abysmal. May not return despite years of patronage.

We are locals, and don't frequent Seagar's as often as we should. Special Occasion place for sure. Fine Dining on the Emerald Coast. Great steaks, seafood, classic New York Style fine dining steak house.

Several errors. Started to receive calls that a table would be ready early for our 9:45 reservation. Sure sign they didn’t want late diners. Asked for the bone to Be taken off my rib eye, it wasn’t. No steak pouivre accompaniment. Asked for a rib eye with a big cap, got the smallest cap from the strip side of the shortloin - they didn’t want us there that late and they didn’t perform. Too bad. Nice place.
The food is good and it is a very good restaurant but it is a very slow meal and pricey.
