SEA180° - a coastal tavern, brings contemporary beachfront dining to one of San Diego’s most distinctive locales. With sweeping “180 degree” views of the Coronado Islands, South Bay and Mexico, the name SEA180° was coined from the expansive ocean views visible from every corner of the establishment and is just steps from the stunning Imperial Beach sand. Located on the ground level of Pier South Resort, named for the nearby Imperial Beach pier, SEA180° provides one of the few dining options in San Diego that is truly oceanfront.
Reservations are for indoor tables only, we are not accepting reservations for patio dining.

Food was okay, overpriced and inconsistent, room was great. However, we had a terrible experience with the fire alarm, it went off two days in a row at 1:30am, and it woke is up. The alarm was very loud and very disturbing. We are non smokers and there was no smoke, it seems like it malfunctioned because they sent someone to fix it on our last day.

Scenery is gorgeous, server had little to no knowledge of the menu other than the one item she tried before, service was very slow, when we arrived to our table the previous parties check was still there, we had rsvp for 4 and hostess and server had not anticipated us and told us the wait would be 30 minutes which made me think, what was the point of taking the time to rsvp?, I was not very pleased especially since i have had great experiences with other cohn restaurant groups. Experience was very much under par.

I have been to SEA180 twice for breakfast in the past week. Both times we had James as a server. He was very polite and a pleasure. Both times I went my guests had never been or were visiting from out of the area and they really enjoyed the view.

We've been to SEA180 before, but this time it was a let down. Service wasn't as good as it usually is. Our waitress came around to take our order got our appetizers and no silverware. Had to look for a waiter or busboy to give us utensils/plates. Also didn't get any one to refill our water or ask us if we needed anything else.

Was not impressed with brunch. Too much oil in potatoes, bacon, enchilada. Carne Asada not flavored and quiche was very bland fir a Cohen restaurant.

Terrific place for a party! Everyone in our party of 14 people enjoyed themselves. My Mom's 80th birthday celebration. We had two little ones with our group and they had a great children's menu and brought the kids some crayons.
We had about six different appetizers for split, drinks and entrees.
We brought a beautiful cake with us (must be store purchased) and the waiter brought it out for us on a nice platter to cut.
The view is terrific:)

The food wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, pretty bland and average. On a positive note, the service was great and the food came pretty quickly. The view looks like it would be great on a sunny day but it was cloudy so we didn’t get to experience it fully.

Had a reservation for 6:15 and had to wait for a table none the less. Indicated it was a special occasion which was never acknowledged. Salmon was great. Steak so so. Very loud- I would not recommend it for a intimate party or dinner very noisy. Wait staff was good - prompt for the busyness of the restaurant.

My boyfriend and I picked this restaurant because we had a Cohn Restaurant Group gift card from Christmas. The evening was a little cool and breezy so we opted to sit inside but along the windows. We had an early reservation for 5:15pm assuring that we would be there as the sun was setting and it was perfect. The restaurant is beautiful but windows and a lovely outdoor patio. Many people were taking advantage of that, it appeared that they had plenty of heaters, blankets, and even a fire pit. I had a spicy margarita that was mixed perfectly and enjoyed the scallops and pork belly. The food was delicious and just enough for me to leave satisfied. My boyfriend and I were able to sit at the table after our meal and enjoy a second drink and the beautiful views. We will definitely be going back and possibly looking to stay at the hotel it is located in for a staycation.

We are never disappointed with Sea 180! If you can get an outside table it’s lovely to feel so close to the beach, but inside is great, too. Loved the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato jam and the crab cakes had some lobster in them. Delicious!

We have dinned at Sea180 several times. It is always delicious and the waiters are fantastic. They make the meal. I brought my sister-in-law once to the restaurant and advised the waiter she had a food allergy. He took the time to come back to the the table after talking with the kitchen and was able to make a great suggestion. Extra points. Our last meal was wonderful , again the waiter made the meal with his knowledge of the wines available and made a great selection for us. Someone is training the staff very well. The restaurant is a little cold inside at night. The doors to the outdoor dining blow cold air in every time the waiters or customers come in and out. Dress warm you will not be disappointed!

At the end of a storm in mid-afternoon we sat at a window table at Sea180 admiring the rough sea, the ever changing clouds, and their unusual menu. Other than it being a cold day (the dining room was also a bit chilly), the ambience was perfect with good service. The shrimp and goat cheese flat bread and melty multi-cheese sandwich hit the spot. The special appetizer with baked crab and lobster cakes was a bit charred on the top resting on an over-abundance of remoulade sauce. The small arugula salad served with it was refreshing. This is a gem on the beach, which is so unusual for the San Diego area. Discover it and you won't be sorry. We have been here many times for drinks and light food on the their beach patio!

We ate here 4 times while staying in Imperial Beach.. We had 1 great breakfast the first day, extremely short handed had a Valentine’s Day pre fixed meal. Sat us outside and stated that I wanted outside, but online it says no outside available. I did not want to sit outside but it was so busy that we had to wait for a reservation I had made a month in advance and paid a deposit. That meal was ok and staff was all friendly but kitchen was very behind. Then we had breakfast a couple days later and my husband got sick from the Crabs Benedict. But didn’t realize it until we had made reservations again for our guest night. I took our company and husband stayed home. Again we had staff apologetic again about the kitchen being behind. I could see the potential but they need to figure it out. We have to come back every 2 months to IB and stay walking distance from the restaurant but might not return.

SEA180 Coastal Tavern is an amazing establishment meant for many occasions. My husband and I visited for lunch on our wedding anniversary and sat on the patio. The only thing separating us from the beach was the glass patio walls. It was beautiful. They even have heaters for the chiller days. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious!

RW experience was just average. Kitchen must have been catching up from a busy afternoon since apps took 40 min but entrees quickly followed. Shrimp carbonara was inedible as pasta was severely overcooked and so was the poached egg...too much time in the broiler or micro? My dessert was straight up Sara Lee cheesecake which was underwhelming to say the least. Short rib entree was best entree followed by local catch which was yellowtail.

The dining room was not busy so unsure why the timing was so off.
