Food was good.
We went during Restaurant Week. 4 people for dinner, sat on patio. Hostess gave us blankets to use in case we got cold, but heaters kept us comfortable.
Seemed as if they were short on wait staff, as it was difficult to get our waiter and his attention. We had 3 meals come out but there was nothing about the 4th persons dish. I had to flag down waiter and call it to his attention.
Finally, 10 min later the burger was served, all while our dishes got cold as we waited. I truly believe they just didn’t cook it until we asked about where it was.
My salmon dish was good, salmon delicious but sides were scarce. Another’s pasta w broccoli was very greasy. Buddha bowl barely got eaten because it was not hot.
Vegan burger was devoured and enjoyed.
Great views, food, and service despite the busyness of it being restaurant week!
Everything was great, but even with a reservation we had to wait 20min to be seated.
Beautiful view, good service, good food!
Service was slow, the food was ok, wasn’t bad but wasn’t good, nothing memorable. The view is great as it’s right on the beach.
Great food and beautiful location. A walk on the pier is a great way to end the day
Very, very nice. Everything was the best. Our waitress loved her job and was outstanding. Really nice time. Thanks
Our waiter was stretched to also be bartender so our food was very late in being served. The soup was supposed to be first and then the entree but all arrived together after waiting too too long . I know the waiter was too busy doing both jobs.
Our server Bruno was fantastic and the Sunday brunch is great! If you leave hungry, you only have yourself to blame. :-)
Delicious Cohen food right on the beach in IB! Our brunch experience was perfect!
No question the atmosphere is excellent, right next to a beautiful beach and Pier. The restaurant is also well laid and updated. The service was also very good.
Unfortunately the food was just average. We had 2 appetizers, a salad, and 2 entrees. All missed the mark. Food was overly complex with no direction and all the favors blended together into nothing. Overall, go for the view, not the food.
We took our daughter and son in law out to dinner for their Anniversary. Even through it was cold we ate outside to enjoy the view. They brought blankets and heaters. The evening was great and we all enjoyed the food and wine. Our waiter was awesome.
Service was inattentive at best - server disappeared for most of our meal and then when the check was delivered he overdid the “I appreciate you” multiple times
Food was marginal
We went for the $20.20 special. In general, it seems that special has become more like appetizers than dinner. It certainly isn’t what it used to be and we’ve done them for several years. We had blue cheese wedges and sliders (different kinds). Overall the food was kind of “meh”. Disappointing for a Cohn restaurant and in comparison to the other meals we’ve had at Sea180.
My food was raw
New Year’s Day brunch with a large group. Service was slow but fine. Brunch spread was good but things were running out so I’d try to go earlier in the day.
We went for brunch on New Year’s Day. It was a beautiful day and the view was breathtaking. We were able to sit outside along the glass wall and enjoyed an amazing beach view. That’s were the positives end. Apparently they were short staff so service left a lot to be desired. We sat at our table for 10 minutes before a waitress came over to even take our drink order. We decide to go with the buffet which was nothing impressive. For being a beach front hotel they offered NO seafood items for brunch, no fresh station was offered like an omelet bar or waffle bar. Scrambled eggs or eggs Benedict were your only choice. Bacon was the only breakfast meat available and the pastries look like they were Store bought not something made in house but the worst of it was that when I went up to get my food they were out of about 1/3 of the items. I had to wait for the basics, French toast, eggs, bacon and fruit. They took so long I got tired of waiting and decided to just eat what I had. You would think that a New Years Day beachside brunch would at least include one mimosa? Oh no!! That was extra and we asked for cranberry juice to go along with the bottle of champagne we bought, well that would be an additional $3.95! Basically this was a higher end continental breakfast. If it wasn’t for the view, there would be nothing positive about this brunch experience
New Year’s Eve with another couple. Service was very nice, great attitude but lack of experience; forgetting certain silverware, removing napkins.
The food was not as good as lunch which I have been on several occasions. The risotto was very salty, lobster bisque was extra fishy and with too much cream. The beef rib was delicious and cooked perfect.
We made reservations for New Year’s Eve. The staff forgot the champagne toast...Food was good, but not worth the $80-$100 per person. Gorgeous view of the sunset over the ocean though.
Great view and really good food. The fries were a bit salty but the rest of our food was great. Food took a little long especially since the place wasn’t busy at the time. But we were fine with it since we were not in any hurry. Overall one of the best places to eat in the South Bay.
We had dinner Sunday night. My friend had the short ribs and i had the fish. She really liked her ribs. My fish of the day was on the salty side as well as little overcooked. The service was very good. She was attentive without hovering. We go to SEA180 several times a year. Nice ambiance. It's much nicer in the day time because the beach is right there. I've had their burgers before and it is VERY good!
Easily the best dinner I've had all year, and the service was excellent. I'll gladly recommend to anyone asks for restaurant suggestions. :)
We tried the Christmas Buffet and we're really disappointed the food. You will be better off ordering directly from their menu. Great ambiance and customer service.
I’m usually not big on buffets, but the Christmas day buffet was pretty darn good. Lots of seafood (salmon, prawns, oysters), turkey and prime rib, tasty vegetables and a nice selection of desserts. However, they were sometimes out of food items, and service was Iffy (not surprisingly for a holiday). Next time, I would eat on the patio, because it’s right by the ocean and quite romantic.
We had Christmas dinner, which was a buffet. The food was good but a little pricey. The view and drinks were great. Definitely want to return to try the regular menu!
Christmas Day & my family was either out of town or working. So I took myself to Sea180 for Christmas brunch. The food was wonderful & the service fantastic!
First time ever eating out on christmas day, it will be our new tradition with friends. Terrific service, lovely table facing the ocean, and superb food.
Food was good, service a bit uneven. I ordered an appetizer gluten-free which they didn’t prepare correctly. Had to wait for a replacement “because they were busy”. They pride themselves on dealing w people in wheelchairs, but when we asked them to take the lobster out of the shell for My mom it was gone for a loooong time. And cold when returned. Otherwise an enjoyable meal
This is our favorite place not just because it has a wonderful ocean view, incredible food but the staff is so friendly and warm. It's like coming home.
There's a beautiful view and an interesting menu. We were part of a large group and had the opportunity to visit.
Came for dessert only, great value and nice hidden gem of a restaurant overlooking the ocean at same level.
Maybe it was an off night for them but we had a bad experience here for our anniversary dinner last Saturday. First we had made reservations for 6:30 pm but still had to wait about 20 minutes for our table. We requested a table in-doors because we knew it would be cold outside. Apparently they gave all the inside tables to walk ins because it was cold that night. Our waiter was super nice but he was also very busy and wasn't very attentive. We ordered right away because we already knew what we wanted. The appetizer came out quickly and was very good. The entrees took a long time to come out and when they did we were very disappointed in the quality and taste of our meal. My husband's steak was so rubbery and chewy and my Rib-eye was over cooked. I had asked for Medium and it was well done. The waiter did comp my husband's meal and gave us a free dessert for our anniversary. I love the Cohn restaurants and try to support them but I think we will stick to our favorite the Prado for next time.
My Mother in laws 90th, honestly couldn’t picked a better location.
All around it was 10 stars, I rarely leave comments, they deserve it.
My husband and I first time there.
Our Waiter, Jason, was excellent. He was very engaging, full of energy. Pro-active with Offering a blanket, because we sat outside. I didn’t have to asked.
They have an awesome selection for their birthday breakfast. It was $89 for two adults and two children under 10. We didn’t see our server a lot and we’re fussed at a little bit because we got up and found him to get the check. We waited for a pretty long time. The people who sat next to us who came in a while after us and left way before us. When I asked for the check he said, “I’ll bring to you at your table”. We were all four standing in front of him. I said, “well just meet you at the front”. He kind of snapped at me and said they don’t do it that way there that the guests pay the tickets directly to the servers-as if it was my first time in a restaurant. I’m 50! And we told him we’d been there before. I just smiled and said sorry, but the kids had been done eating for a while and when kids get bored they start making messes”.
But otherwise, their Sunday buffers are really great. I love the waffles.
We sat right by the beach And the lifeguards drove by the glass just a couple feet away from the kids and waved at them more than once.
We can’t wait to go back!
It was a wonderful evening listening to the ocean waves while enjoying great drinks and wonderful food. They give you a blanket to be comfortable outside alone with heaters. You can also choose to sit inside where the ambiance seemed very nice.
We have been to SEA180 several times. The food is always good. Our visit the other evening was not so great.
There were 3 in our party. Food was delivered to me and my husband, not to our guest. We were told her meal would be right out. Five minutes past and she still didn't have the food. The waiter finally brought her clam chowder to hold her over until her dinner was ready. He blamed the delay on the "salmon" cook. In the meantime, our food was getting cold so we started eating. Hindsight, I should have sent our food back and told the waiter to bring it all together and be sure it is hot. Very disappointing.
They went above and beyond to fulfill our every need. Would definitely go again!
