Under the direction of Executive Chef Alex Stanislaw, the Sea House serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails against a backdrop of swaying palms and gentle waves. Breakfast favorites include the Molokai Sweet Potato Frittata, Haleakala Pancake, and Homemade Macadamia Nut Cinnamon Roll. After reading reviews, I booked this restaurant for an anniversary dinner. Had to argue to get a decent table outside and when the food did come it was very average. For a bill that came to over $160 this wasn’t value for money or a memorable dining experience.

Not much aloha spirit from the hostesses and wait staff. We arrived 10 minutes early, still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated, even though the place was only half full. We were told they couldn’t seat us until the 5:45 people arrived, which evidently they didn’t. Then they tried to seat us outside on the patio with the people who just came from the beach. We were dressed nicely for a nice adult dinner, I was so offended, I asked for a table in the main room. Been here twenty or more times over the years, not sure if I will return . Very disappointing!

Hostess was rude when we asked her a question. We were sat at our table and we asked to be seated at the next table over since our family was at the next table. We were told “absolutely not”. Our waitress was embarrassed when the hostess told us that and the waitress did apologize. Steak was ordered medium well. Came to table rare. Asked if they could please cook the meat. Took the plate, 60 seconds later brought it back still rare. I threw it away. Would never revisited this restaurant. What a disappointment.

Quite possibly the best view from a restaurant on Maui. The food is quite good and high quality, though without the innovation of other local restaurants. If you’re not a seafood fan, for example, I am allergic, your choices are limited. Fortunately, they offer a good filet mignon as well as prime rib. The onion soup is excellent as well. But, the view, especially at sunset, is exceptional. We’ve been here more than once and seen everything in the restaurant stop and go silent for that last 2 minutes of sunset.

We ordered the Early Bird Special and were somewhat disappointed. Based on our experience, we would not order the Special again. The garden salad was basic. The fish item appeared as a half-portion. The rice and potatoes were plain. The broccoli and carrots were al dente. We were pleasantly surprised when the restaurant recognized our anniversary with a piece of cheesecake. This gift was announced after we ordered the two servings of tiramisu as part of the special. We have eaten at this restaurant several times and will return, however, the experience of this visit seemed less satisfying than previous.

I was really disappointed because I made the reservation so that we could watch the sunset. We were placed in the very back next to the kitchen access doors. I thought since I made a reservation that we would have received better seating. The service wasn't great because we were just neglected in the back. Was disappointed. I have eaten there previously and had a very enjoyable experience so I was surprised.

What a wonderful experience! The restaurant is right on Napili Bay and our table was right at the edge looking out…open air but shades if needed. Our server was very kind and even took pictures of us with the beautiful bay behind us. Our reservation was at 5:30 and they got us right in. From 5:30-6 they have a dinner special which includes a wonderful salad, a choice of one of three entrees and tiramisu for dessert. I had the filet mignon which was amazing and my husband had the shrimp scampi pasta and he loved it too. We were so full but enjoyed the tiramisu too! We watched the sun set as we finished our dessert and drinks. It was absolutely amazing and such a great experience. Oh they also had live music which was wonderful! We will be back!

The location is prime, right on Napili Bay! We were seated right at 5:30, our reservation time. Waters and menus provided promptly. Our server was kind enough to offer tastes of the wines we were interested in! A roll and butter were served. We ordered calamari as a starter. The calamari was cooked perfectly. We ordered from the early bird specials which was prix fix so included a salad and dessert with a choice of entrée. The salad came out 2 seconds after the calamari which made the start to our meal feel rushed. It was also swimming in the dressing which was a bit much. I chose the mahi mahi. It came with rice and vegis. We also ordered a side of brussels. The mahi was just ok, it had a nice Mac nut breading and a sweet sauce which was a little too sweet imo. Hubs had the filet w mashed potatoes and vegis. I had a bite, filet is not my favorite cut and my one bite had a little gristle. The brussels tasted good although the capers didn’t really compliment the balsamic flavor. We were celebrating a birthday so our server offered us a slice of ice cream pie on the house, that was nice! The pie was yummy, the candle was a nice touch! We didn’t try the tiramisu which would have come with the meal. We did see a beautiful sunset at the end of our meal, that was a bonus! Overall, nice location, started out rushed which wasn’t good, the food was just ok. I liked the calamari the best. I’d give it a 3.5/5 for location.

i thought my fish, with crab cake was terrible - overcooked and chewey. The Champagne drink was awful, sour and tart. vut the kolua colada was yummy. the coconut Shrimp was excellent, and the onion soup was excellent (even if a tad too salty) But for the exuberant prices - EVERYTHING should have been excellent!

I had the Crab crusted Monchong based on others suggestions. It was amazing. Had a very talented jazz guitarist. Rained on & off as it does in Napili area but didn't dampen the vibe. Enjoyed watching a sunset and lighting of tikis. Enjoyable night. After dinner saw the Master's of Ukelele show next door!!

Sea House is a must on our annual trip to Maui! We will attend several in the area for their specialties and Sea House is always on that list. Their Calamari is the best and for the money, their portions are unequaled. The fish is prepared to be as delicate as it can be and delivered hot to the table. The real added feature is the view…breathtaking!

This lovely restaurant tucked in the corner of Napili Bay is our new favorite when visiting Maui. The food rivals Mama’s Fish House although the ambiance isn’t the same. Everything was extremely tasty.
