Sea House Restaurant at Napili Kai Beach Resort offers open-air dining and delicious sea-to-table cuisine at its oceanfront location on gorgeous Napili Bay in Maui, Hawaii.

Under the direction of Executive Chef Alex Stanislaw, the Sea House serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails against a backdrop of swaying palms and gentle waves. Breakfast favorites include the Molokai Sweet Potato Frittata, Haleakala Pancake, and Homemade Macadamia Nut Cinnamon Roll. Additional signature dishes include the Macadamia Nut-Crusted Mahi Mahi, Poke Nachos, and “60 Second” Ceviche.

For guests with dietary restrictions, the Sea House offers numerous gluten-free options. Several vegetarian dishes are also available, and many of those can be altered to be vegan upon request.

Over the years, the Sea House has received accolades for its food, atmosphere, and service, including repeatedly winning Maui Magazine’s ʻAipono Awards for Best Happy Hour, Best Breakfast and Most Maui-est Restaurant.

    We looked forward to this dinner out/date night and booked weeks ahead. The location wasn’t anything special, we were seated outside with a reasonable view of the bay. Service was the highlight as food was mediocre. Our server was attentive and efficient, he made our time there enjoyable.

    Very good but expected better food for the price. The service was good but not exceptional. My steak was excellent but the other 3 guests thought their dinner was good but not for the price.

    The kampachi special was terrific. Fresh, moist and seasoned perfectly. The chicken piccata was inedible. Scraps of the chicken with cold mashed potatoes. Only bad meal we have eaten there in 10 years.

    Sea House is always a pleasure to visit. It’s one of our favorite Maui restaurants and we’re blessed to live here and have it only ten minutes (and a reservation) away. The food is wonderful and has only been getting better. The specials are imaginative - if we could only give up our favorite monchong and kanpachi preparations. The Napili Kai Shrimp appetizer is not to be missed (if you like spicy!). I sometimes have it as my main course with soup or a salad. There are four huge shrimp; they’re really too good to share and too big to eat in addition to a main course. The service is excellent from the greeting at the door to the delivery of hot rolls and butter and beyond. All the servers are wonderful and managers are present, visible, and helpful. We always request our very favorite server, Charlene. Her friendly attitude always makes the evening memorable! The wine list is well within the budget of most, with a couple of standouts. There’s no question when it comes to cocktails, however; the Sea House Mai Tai is one of the best on the island. The location right on the water’s edge with spectacular sunset views makes this restaurant a visitor favorite for its location even before they discover the treasures within. Reservations are necessary and can be made a month in advance.
