I have enjoyed Scotts for many years, so i can be objective to the changes. The Rigatoni Bolognese has always been a go to. However, yesterday, the meat portion, was severely lacking in quantity. I will write this up hopefully as a one time event as I really like Scotts and go frequently
Scott's made us feel welcome & valued, and the service and food were both excellent!
Service was great. Food was good but to many onions in the pea salad.
Lunch with three friends quick service and good food.
Scott's is one of my favorite places and dinner did not disappoint. I appreciate that they allow me to tweak my meal to meet my dietary restrictions. Fish & chips (without the chips) but a blue cheese side salad. Just perfect.
Scott's is always our go to restaurant. I was there on opening night in the early 80's!
My best friends in town for couple days and we took advantage of eating at Scott’s they did not disappoint.
Excellent food and service!
Friendly staff, good food . We sat outside on the covered patio. It was my friend birthday a d they brought out a slice of mousse pie to help us celebrate. Thank you staff.
Took 4 clients there for dinner. Took 15 minutes to get our beverages. When dinner finally showed up 3 of the 5 were fine but 2 prime rib dinners were totally cold and hard. Called the server over and she took them away. When they finally came back the manager was with her and asked how the food was. It was barely warm, but I told her I would eat it anyway because I didn't have time for more delays, as the other guests were almost done with their meal. I talked to the manager and all she could say was "I'm sorry". When the bill came there was nothing adjusted for the inconvenience. That's a lot to pay for luke warm prime rib. If this is their idea of customer service, I dont think I'll be back.
We had reservations for Monday evening, no reservations would have been necessary as the restaurant was only about 1/3 full and the patio only had two occupied tables. The patio was enclosed, so we felt this took away from the idea that we would be "sitting outside". We were seated immediately and only had to wait a few minutes for our server to acknowledge us with glasses of water and menus. The food (prime rib and filet mignon) were cooked to order and although the prime rib could use some seasoning both were till better then expected based on the number of bad reviews we had read before arriving. Our server Luke was very attentive and we were pleasantly surprised to find out this was his first day as a server (would have never known).
I don't normally write reviews but felt this restaurant has probably made some changes to improve things and with the current pandemic still effecting the ability to hire and retain folks in the service industry, I felt they earned a positive review so people know they are making improvements in the right direction.
I have lived in the area for most of my life and this was my first time eating here and my wife and I will look forward to returning soon to celebrate another special occasion.
Our ladies lunch was not good. The service was poor as was the food. We will not be returning.
After waiting one hour for a table (our reservations were at 6p, we were seated at 7p), we were frustrated and hungry. During our wait, we were not offered water or anything. When we were finally seated, the server mentioned that they had just run out of their amazing bread - so if we wanted anything that included their bread, it was no longer available. It was a poor dining experience!!!
Came in to Celebrate my Fiancé’s birthday.
Disappointed that they didn’t acknowledge his birthday in any way. Was hoping a dessert or a cocktail or something.
Sadly, our server was super nice but she never introduced herself to us .
May be awhile til we return.
Celebrating my birthday and was pleasantly surprised how smooth everything went from booking to finishing lunch. Spaced appropriately, music was slightly loud but we were directly under a speaker. Drinks were awesome, food was great! Thank you
We used to come to Scott's all the time, and hadn't been back since the beginning of the pandemic until this visit. Sadly, the food was generally bland, table bread was cold, and service was not what we were used to. Though we weren't there for Happy Hour, we also noticed a sign about discontinuing HH because of social distancing which is sad because it's a pretty large restaurant and many other smaller places we frequent are able to make HH work just fine. This place has gone down hill since being taken over by Landry's. We'll give it another chance after the service industry gets a chance to rehire good talent, but for now there are better options in town.
We were disappointed with the food, yet that can be dealt with given the hardship of having proper staffing. Regardless of feelings on masking , it is a mandate. The patio waitress, and what seemed to be the manager, both did not wear their mask. (It was below the chin or hanging from one side). The meal was not timed well and the appetizers and main meal was all piled on the table. I do not recommend this place at this time. The rest of the wait staff deserve better management than what we saw.
Scott’s never disappoints . Andre our server was delightful. I had the baby back ribs for dinner and the bread pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious 🤤
The staff was helpful, the servers clearly enjoyed being there. Everything was how awe asked for it to be prepared
I realize restaurants are working hard to provide a safe environment in the world of Covid, so I cut you slack. We were seated at a nice table, lovely breeze from outside. Noise level was a bit high due to 2 people wearing hearing aids.
Food order took awhile, but after 80-90 minutes order was found. 2 hot dishes were great, but 2 salads were very warm & not ideal. Waitresses said they were overlooked in kitchen, and somehow missed. We enjoyed the extra time to visit. My one concern is my diabetic friend who had taken insulin based on expected wait. Bread helped.
Wait staff were kind, smiles and cordial.
Not knowing if more questions will come on the next screen, I will add that I will likely return. One order was prime rib, my husband’s favorite. I know he’d really enjoy it if it he received a cut like my friend got. It takes a ferry to reach you, but he’d say it was worth it.
Thank you for making it up with free dessert. Boysenberry Sorbet was delicious.
Side note: the diabetic woman is dying of pancreatic cancer. She was visiting from out of state. We suspect we might not ever see her again. We’ve all known each other for about 55 years. This is why griping yesterday just wasn’t important. Food isn’t life and death.
2 of us ordered the blue cheese salad and it was awful. Full of water and no flavor. A very boring salad that was also over dressed.
The smaller menu during covid still has many choices. Very good and excellent service.
I’m sorry to be negative, but the food just wasn’t very good. We had the sole and it was as tough as leather. The steak was nothing special and either were the ribs. Talking with the folks at my table, they mentioned the last few times they’ve been to Scott’s, the food hasn’t been what it used to be. All restaurants are struggling right now, I know, but I think we’ll wait for a while before we eat there again.
This is usually an excellent restaurant, but the past few times not so much. This time, the service was nice but extremely slow. It took over 20 minutes to get our bread without garlic butter, and then over an hour to get our entrees. The server was very nice and kept apologizing. Not sure if the problem is understaffing in the kitchen, with servers, or what. Drinks were also a little slow.
Always great service and yummy lunch. Still hoping the Cajun fettuccine comes back soon…..😜
The alomd-crusted scallops were amazing. Definitely recommend them.
Food was good as usual, but service was slow for there being only 3 tables filled at the restaurant. I will give them the benefit of the doubt as it seemed there was only 1 waitress covering at this time of day.
Server was pleasant after I got her to loosen up a bit and smile.
I’ll continue to frequent this restaurant as the food and drinks are good and there aren’t many nice restaurants to eat at in the vicinity.
Outdoor dining was great. We had very attentive wait staff. Food was great.
Delicious pasta and prime rib. Patio dining, early dinner was quiet and pleasant. Waiter was friendly and kept our glasses of water full. Will definitely go back!
Had reservations on Sunday evening. We were seated quickly at a table that was sanitized by the staff. We were given menus and left for awhile to go over them. The menu is good, but has been trunkated due to COVID. I ordered scallops, and they were done to perfection. My girlfriend had a half-rack of pork ribs and she said they were great. Staff was attentive, but not overly. It was a perfect experience.
I would have given it 4 or 5 stars for overall, but there were a couple of nasty flies flying around the restaurant that were repulsive to me and my kids.
Service not up to par, got order wrong, forgot condiments, never checked back, didn’t know answer to questions about food, couldn’t find a pen for us to sign check. All around horrible.
Food wasn’t what we ordered, medium rare steak was well done, cold and dry. Potatoes were also cold.
Fish was so thin not sure if any fish , only breading.
Nothing good to report here.
We spent $160 for 2 people and left hungry cause we didn’t like what they brought us.
I met two friends here and we sat in the bar. The appetizers were amazing and the service was impeccable! We came in on Saturday, July 30th at 5 and it was filling up. I sure do miss the Cajun fettuccini. I hope Scott’s brings that back.
Only issue ws that once we paid for dinner our server never returned to top off water glasses or anything. We needed take home containers and had to hunt her down.
The prime rib was excellent. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the salmon. My daughter had the crab artichoke sandwich and said it was great. The patio dining was perfect. I highly recommend.
we eat here three times a month. That alone says everything you need to know.
I really like the panfried Salmon and mashed potatoes, but the accompanying string beans were not fresh. Improve on the fresh steamed veggies.
Scott's is always good for food and service. I made reservation on line and checked special occasion request "Birthday". All during dinner and after we were finished with dinner, there was never any mention about a birthday from either the front desk nor the server. We left a little dissatisfied and felling's hurt.
Scott's is sorta back. We went on July 22 and the menu was not yet back to pre-COVID days, but it was excellent nonetheless. The food was exactly as expected, which is to say it was great. The waitperson was a little impatient with us, but I suspect it didn't have anything to do with us and everyone is entitled to a bad day. It's very nice to be able to go out with friends again and Scott's did not disappoint.
My first time at Scott’s. NOT my last.
I am a recent widow and it was our anniversary that day. I went out for an anniversary dinner to honor my husband. I chose Scott’s because of the prime rib. My husband and I were always on the look for for good prime rib.
Scott’s did not disappoint. It’s a cool place. Luke, on the phone when I was lost, and at the desk when I arrived, was super nice. My server, Amanda, was so sweet and attentive. The food was excellent. I had the crab and artichoke dip appetizer and, of course, the prime rib. I will be back.
The fish and chips were adequate, but not good. My companion’s food was good.
