Lovely place to hang out. Great food—grouper was delicious. Enjoyed sitting outside.
We met there for Father's Day and had a delicious meal with great service. We had a great view of the park and enjoyed the entire evening.
Group of friends celebrating several promotions.
She’s really hot I promise.
Fantastic, tasty meal. Went here with my wife and Inlaws before going to the Lion King production at Fair Park Music Hall. The food and service was 5 Star. I highly recommend it as it sits with a view of the park and has an awesome patio. Wine and beer options are great as well. They have really nice wine flights for wine lovers.
I checked the website menu before going to Savor as we were attending the theater afterwards and didn’t want to be pressed for time. I was disappointed to discover the menu had not been updated and neither of the items my friend and I had preselected were on the menu that night. So, I substituted a chicken with vegetables and gnocchi dish.
When the meal arrived I placed a small piece of vegetable and a gnocchi in my mouth not seeing any problem with either. Upon biting down I got a surprisingly horrible burned taste. I investigated the vegetables and gnocchi and discovered that at least half of the gnocchi were burned to the point being inedible. Since we were on a time schedule, I opted not to send the dinner back because I didn’t think we had enough time. I ate the vegetables, some of the chicken, and the few pieces of gnocchi which were not burned. When the waiter was told, he said he would speak to the manager. When the manager came to the table, he offered to take my entre off the bill “if I’d like.” I told him that since I had eaten part of the meal, that I would pay for it. He then offered a dessert or a cocktail, and I politely refused both telling him that I just wanted him to know that the meal was subpar. A few minutes later the waiter came with a caramel banana pudding dessert. Since I am diabetic I could not have the desert or cocktail - plus I dislike bananas. I felt that what I wanted said was disregarded. I think a more appropriate type of restitution would have been to give me a reason to come back to Savor -
i. e. a gift certificate.
Whitney was our server and she was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Plus we had the executive chef Nathan deliver our appetizers introducing himself. You don't see that too often in restaurants. Food was excellent and sitting next to the windows overlooking Klyde Warren Park was a pleasant experience. This was not my first time at the restaurant - every time I go, it gives me more reasons to return the next time.
We love the service at Savor, but all of us found the various entrees too salty.
Went for brunch with my boyfriend. The carafe of mimosas were not weak!!!! They were delicious! A must try is the red velvet sticky bun!!!! They sell out quickly so order one as soon as you sit down. We split the chicken fried steak which was phenomenal and plenty for the two of us. Our waiter was great! He recommended the caramel banana cream pudding and it did not disappoint. The icing on our cake was the gorgeous atmosphere. It was a beautiful day outside and the glass walls let us enjoy our meal in an open and airy feel. A new favorite brunch spot for sure!
This was our first visit to Savour and we would return. Everything that we tried was good and all of us were pleased. I would go back.....
Wonderful food and fabulous cocktails! Our waitress was fantastic! Loved sitting by the park...
There were no issues during my visit but the day after my dinner I noticed I had been charged twice on my card and in two different amounts. The same thing happened to my friend. I had to call Savor 3 times, to finally have a manager call me back. When the manager called back there was no apology and he didn't say he would address it with the server, all the manager said was that it was a mistake and the other charge would be reversed. He acted very casual like it was no big deal and I wonder if they ever would've called me back if I wasn't so persistent!
Service less attentive than at prior visits. Still a favorite place to entertain guests alongside a visit to the theater or museums!
I always love going to Savor. Beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view and great food. Waitstaff is knowledgeable and friendly.
very poor service from waiter, he was aloof and rude. food is very good but overpriced.
Food was too salty and just generally not very good. Service and ambiance were awesome.
Showed up without a reservation at 704 on a Sunday. The patio had about 3 tables occupied and no one in line. Asked for a table for 4 and she said “only reservations, or I could get on waitlist and come back at 730.” Literally no one there. Opened OpenTable app and made a reservation for 715. Walked up and 715 and she seemed surprised. Still no line for the “waitlist” unless I counted invisible people that maybe only she could see.
Once seated food was good and service was fantastic.
Great place to have a quiet intimate dinner.
One of the best looking restaurants with their floor to ceiling windows overloading Warren park alongside substantial outdoor dining. The notable wine by the glass listing is a big plus.
Both the grouper and salmon entrees are excellent.
Absolutely loved the experience we had here. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Some girlfriends and I go somewhere each month and try different plates but this is one I will definitely return to! LOVED it!
Mother’s Day gift - night at the ballet
We tried Savor for the first time with a group of friends this past weekend. We were entertaining a guest from out of state who had never been to Texas before. I was nervous about choosing a new restaurant but decided to try Savor because of the unique location and view of the park.
We had a great experience from beginning to end! We called the hostess to let her know we were late as we were stuck in traffic and she assured us it would be no problem. The valet parking was super convenient. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and we took all of his recommendations for our appetizers and entrees. We had the lobster puffs, the deviled eggs and the calamari. All were delicious! 4 of us had the scallops that he recommended and they were fabulous. Others had the salmon and the chicken which both got rave reviews. We were in a bit of a time crunch trying to make our concert and we were seated right away, ordered right away and our food came out promptly.
We will definitely come back again and try a dessert!
Frustrating as couldn't call for reservations as no one answered phone, left message and no one called me back to confirm. Finally went on open table.
A bit pricey but definitely worth the splurge. Despite a limited overall menu, everything on it is top-notch - if you see something you think you'll like, it'll definitely taste great. I recommend sitting outside as well if weather permits, as you get great views of the park and can catch a nice sunset.
Had anticipated an upscale restaurant, walked in to other diners wearing crop tops and tattoos and a dog bowl at our table. Although the ambiance and service was great, food quality was not worth the price.
The food was spectacular. Everything we had--appetizer, main course, dessert--was wonderful. The German chocolate cake may be the best dessert I have had in ages.
Now as to service--was there any? We were seated when we arrived. A waiter came up, introduced himself, poured some water, and left never to show up again. 20 minutes later another waiter showed up to ask us if the first waiter had taken our drink order. Waiter 2 took our drink order. My cocktail arrived 15 minutes later; my husband's, 10 minutes after mine. We drank our cocktails. Waiter number 2 popped over after about 20 more minutes. I good naturedly said "I'm not feeling the love." He said, "I was giving you time to drink your cocktails." We ordered food and a glass of wine each. The glasses were promptly produced. The wine itself showed up 30 minutes later in between the appetizers and the first course. The appetizer plates were never cleared, so there was some juggling when the main courses arrived. Ditto for when the desserts arrived.
The food, again, was spectacular. But the place was woefully understaffed, and no adult seemed to be in charge as manager or host. Yes, it was Memorial Day, but close if you can't find staff. No one apologized, no one made excuses, no one offered anything to make up for the terrible service--and the place was not that overly crowded. I have worked in restaurants. It is a tough business, but good places make mistakes right.
I would go again to Savor begrudgingly for the food, but we had a really delicious brunch earlier the same day right across the street at Lark on the Park, where the food is always very good, and where the service is always over the top. It was Memorial Day for them too, but for brunch they were fully staffed, and for dinner they decided to close to give their folks a holiday--nice place in so, so many ways.
If you are in the neighborhood, I recommend going across the street to Lark on the Park rather than to Savor.
Got to the restaurant 10 min early and was told to wait for a table. I checked in after a minute to find out my reservation was given to someone else. They said it would be another half hour to get a table or we could sit at the bar. We sat at the bar, service from the bar tender was okay. Food was okay. Overall not a very good experience. I use the open table app to get a reservation, not to have it given to someone else
Right on the park and the food so creative and delicious, I very much recommend it! We had the deviled eggs, the lemon ricotta French toast and the chicken steak and eggs. Recommend all!!! Ohhhh...and can't forget the honey lavender mule- delish!!!!
Service was much to be desired. A very nice waitress but poor food delivery and drink delivery. Food was average.
I took my boyfriend out for our first “official” proper dinner date. I mentioned to him that I wanted everything to be PERFECT for the evening. I spoke to my coworker who is a concierge at The Joule hotel and he recommended Savor to me. Set the reservation right there! When we arrived to the restaurant we were greeted with happy faces and beautiful smiles. We were seated in a booth next to the window that had a great view of the arts district. Forgive my memory but I can’t remember our servers name, but she was EVERYTHING to us! She was as kind and attentive as they come. As someone who works in the hospitality industry I pay attention to every single detail about every aspect of a business in the service area. And when I say everything was amazing I truly mean it. 10’s across the board!!!! Thank you so much for an amazing evening. Can’t wait to return!
Great! Friendly staff. Wonderful food.
Visit Savor for the ambiance and the park views, expect underwhelming service and expensive but good food. Recommend the grouper and the Ooey Gooey cake for desert.
Wait staff was pretty inattentive even though the restaurant was not busy. I had the short rib with Mac and cheese. Both were just ok, even though they sounded amazing, but both were dry. Bummer. Those that ordered the salmon said it was very good. The shrimp and grits was soupy; odd.
Anyway, I won’t be going back anytime soon despite its wonderful location and ambiance. There are just too many good restaurants in Dallas to suffer through a mediocre meal.
Never got food after more than hour. Much better options where you can actually eat food that you order.
Waited almost 30mins after we set down. Not busy. Odd staffing
Disappointed this time. Brisket tacos on brunch menu had a lot of fat.
It’s a beautiful restaurant and a beautiful space. It was a busy Sunday brunch and the service was very slow. They were friendly however and when the food came it was worth it. Overall a good experience, but if it’s busy down expect snappy service. Just relax and enjoy the view.
The food came in really small portions, the water tasted like tap water. The bathrooms were not nice and were not clean. It was in a very good area in Dallas but it didn’t live up to expectations. Parking is quite hard to find.
The person I spoke to for reservations was so professional, polite, and accommodating. The manager/ owner seemed like such a genuinely nice man... The food and drinks were great too. Our experience was compromised by the fact that it was a busy weekend at the park and the wait staff seemed unprepared for it (... and a little unapologetic about it??). It took a very long time to have a chance to get drinks ordered. Then, it took a long time to get appetizers out. Entrees came out fairly quickly.
The problem for our party was: We were there for a celebration (which they knew far in advance), and we could not even get much help for drinks to come out. It just wasn’t the dinner it could’ve been with the same menu, cocktails, setting, and a different server
