This is neither a chain restaurant nor a franchise, it is a family owned and run restaurant and has been in business since 1995. At Savoir Faire we aim to restore serenity through serving delicious, traditional Italian food and drinks within a space that will allow you to escape from the daily pandemonium of London life.

Savoir Faire is a unique Italian restaurant consisting of hand-painted murals and in a rustic chic settings. There’s a vintage feel to the interior, the two floors decorated with bawdy wall drawings and bills for West End musicals, the clutter of closely packed tables managing to suit both large groups and romantic dates.

Whether you are shopping at nearby Oxford Street or visiting popular London landmarks such as The British Museum, Dominion theatre and Shaftesbury theatre you can wind down with our scrumptious Italian and French food and house wines. From fresh fish of the day to mussels, slow-roasted lamb shanks, pizzas, pastas, steaks and duck magrets...

Food was OK but nothing special. Chips were not fries but thick cut: they were only on the edge of being cooked. Broccoli and carrot were perfectly done! Salad was very uninspiring. Waiter cleared the plates before everyone had finished only for us to wait a few minutes for the next course. Crème brûlée was more ‘set’ egg custard than creamy which we didn’t like. Tarte Tatin was lovely. There are 2 steps to get into the restaurant and no accessible toilets - the steps downstairs were vertiginous with only partial handrail. Ironic, as when we were there, of 4 occupied tables, one had a person with a walking stick and two other tables had people in wheelchairs.

A disappointing experience. Although we had reserved a table a few days earlier, we were surprised to be seated in a rather unpleasant basement rather than the light-filled main room. Food was unremarkable.

First time to this Italian restaurant. I ordered Seafood Linguine. The shrimps were big. Linguine cooked just right not overcooked. It was very tasty. Very good customer service. Totally recommended.

Our waiter Sergio provided an excellent service. Sergio went over and beyond to make our dinning experience extra memorable. Sergio was extremely polite and professional. The restaurant is lovely, and the food was delicious, with amazing staff. I would definitely return for any occasion but especially for a special event, and I would hope Sergio attends to us.

Nice restaurant, food was lovely but, as the restaurant was very quiet at lunch time,it all felt just a bit too quick. No sooner had we arrived than the food was out with no time between courses, then we were finished and off.

We were going to the theatre for the Matinee show, so wanted to treat ourselves to a meal. Fantastic choice, great food, the staff were attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend others to visit. Regards Peter

We’d booked a table but they didn’t have a he reservation ! The food was over cooked. Not unpleasant but not up to the normal standard.
