The Seahorse is a large Italian restaurant serving the cuisine from the coast of Tuscany with the classic regional recipes and spontaneity of seafood prepared in the Italian Riviera. The restaurant was so noisy that just opening the door convinced us not to go in. In fairness to the restaurant, we did not have any food, so the poor rating for the food may be incorrect.

The food was average, the location great, but parking was a bit of a challenge. Fortunately I did not get ticketed for parking in the lot of a neighboring business. I think they must have had a bigger dining crowd than usual for a Monday night, as they were very short-staffed. I came to hear a friend who was playing in a jazz quartet. The restaurant was quite noisy and it was difficult to hear the band.

It is a super dingy place, so you would think inexpensive. It definitely is not and the people there didn’t even get what Open Table was, so I couldn’t get points. We ended up leaving before ordering, I felt like I would have gotten sick from their food and their bar wasn’t fully stocked.

Very fun place. Excellent service, wide choice of wonderful Italian seafood dishes. To top it off, they have music and dancing.

Sausalito Seahorse hosts some excellent musicians in Swing, R&B, rock, and other genres, in a fun and welcoming venue. Good food and helpful servers make for an all-round delightful evening. They're famous for their seafood, but the menu is varied and the food comes pretty quickly. Live music in Marin!

The staff is helpful and the food is great, but the best part of the Sausalito Seahorse is the live music. I was lucky enough to catch the Alpha Rhythm Kings playing fantastic swing music. Lots of fun dancing, and a terrific venue!
