Le Sasa est un restaurant d'inspiration japonaise à Walnut Creek. Les restaurants Izakaya sont des restaurants traditionnels servant de petits plats où vous pouvez vous rendre entre amis pour prendre un verre et vous détente après une longue journée. Occupant le bâtiment historique centenaire qui a accueilli pendant de nombreuses années le marché aux viandes de Walnut Creek, ce joyau architectural a été transformé en un lieu incroyable qui vous invite à rester et à profiter d'une expérience culinaire au SASA. Le Chef Jason Shimizu et le Chef et propriétaire Philip Yang préparent des plats d'influence japonaise du monde entier. Le personnel vous accueille chez lui et vous assure confort, hospitalité et plaisir. Le restaurant comprend un bar complet doté d'une large sélection de Sake, une terrasse et un bar à sushis. Il s'engage par ailleurs à utiliser des produits frais de saison. * Remarque : vous pouvez apporter votre vin personnel. Un droit de bouchon de 20 USD s'applique par bouteille.     I was disappointed by the lack of service for such an expensive restaurant. Food was yummy, but we had to ask for everything including menus, utensils, and our server!

    for many years, Sasa has been the go-to for sushi (and other delectable menu items) for our family - special occasions, everyday meals, or just a quick nigiri and Sasa roll fix. Last night was no exception -excellent quality food as always, and kind, expert service by Chris! thanks so much.

    Disappointing. We have been Sasa’s biggest fans for as long as I can remember but after our last dinner, we’ve decided to find another place to satisfy our sushi cravings. The prices just keep climbing and the nickel and diming is out of control. $3 for 5 slices of jalapeño and $5 for fresh wasabi. Server offered but did NOT state the price or extra charge. The fish was decent but not $500 worthy. Anyhow, good luck! Hopefully you can continue on in this manner

    Not the best, but not the worst. Some of the food was amazing (Sasa roll, otoro nigiri), some of the food was meh. Stone seared beef was too fatty, and something I ate there came up after I got home. Not the same quality as before.

    Our bartender was clueless. Not trying to be mean. He knew little but most importantly, we sat for 10 minutes and there were 2 bartenders and 2 bar backs. Nobody even looked at us. The 2 bartenders were too busy chatting with particular customers. So much so that the man sitting at the end of the bar was saying to me I’m so sorry. Because his wife and the bartender kept chatting. He and I both just laughed cuz it was so bad. He was out loud saying to me I’m so sorry. We were 6 feet apart. The bartender wasn’t getting the clue. Then the man finally told the guy that we needed help. He finally came over and said thank you for your patience. I had to laugh. Then he only got half our order right and had zero knowledge when we asked questions about the menu. Then we ordered items we have ordered before and just not as good as it used to be. Not sure that I’m going back. It wasn’t busy and by the end of our experience we were not surprised. Very disappointing

    Sasa is back! Since the acquisition by the Torsap folk, we had a couple of bad experiences. Poor service, long waits and well, not quite what you’d expect of a wonderful Walnut Creek restaurant. But tonight we enjoyed the usual great fusion Asian cuisine, with attentive service and friendly staff. Looking forward to coming back more often.
