Everything was great except the fact we had to wait half an hour to be seated, although we booked a table.

We visited Sarma for my birthday and it did not disappoint. The food on the menu was delicious and waiters brought around portions of the chef’s specials that you could add to your meal right then! The cocktails were great and the donuts for dessert were delicious.
I would definitely go back.

Sarma is always a great time - great food and friendly, timely service. Menu that night was updated since last visit - enjoyed many of the new creations. Plus, ricotta doughnuts are always a crowd pleaser! I'll be back. Again.

I use to love Sarma but recently I just find that a lot of their dishes are just too rich, there is no need to have 10 different types of salsa on simple dishes.

Having been to Oleana, I was expecting a similar level of service and food. Unfortunately, our server would not provide any recommendations, simply told us the menu changed so often that we just needed to read it and make choices. The food was good - and some dishes were very good - but overall didn't have the level of dining experience I expected. I would not go back again.

I brought my friend there for a big birthday. The tapas were delicious, the food was freshly prepared and so creative. We loved seeing what they were coming around with to surprise us. We drove over an hour from NH and will do it again!!!

Every dish was unique and delicious, and the service was above and beyond. Loved the sambusek and kofte sliders, plus the seasonal sour that was described perfectly by our server. Will definitely go again

As always the food was great. We shared the brussel sprouts, lamb dumplings and one of the specials, spinach apricots and lemon. It was all superb. Lamb had some zing to it. Good service

I always like to try one of their unique cocktails. Had the Nordic Reviver, and loved it! Both in our party are vegetarian and got the pumpkin fritters (had them before so they were a must to get again), lentil nachos which were an explosion of flavor.....words can't describe, 7 layer hummus (had some smokey flavors, very good w/ the sesame crackers that were served, but we still couldn't get over the lentil nachos), and last dish to come out was the Brussel sprout bravas with hazelnut migas.....they were bright green , hot and cooked perfectly everything they were prepared with made them yet another amazing dish at Sarma. Parking options were much easier than the last time. Street parking nearby. Also for vegans, some dishes can be made vegan, call ahead or ask server. Advance reservation highly recommended!!

Everything about Sarma was exceptional. The food, a kind of Turkish, Mediterranean, middle-eastern cuisine, was prepared with fine ingredients combined perfectly for a delicious taste. The flavors were equally wonderful in every dish. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.

Phenomenal. Loved every bite. Could use a smidge more ambiance to complement such amazing food, like some art on the walls etc. Overall, extremely pleased.

I think this is my all time favorite restaurant in the area. I have tried most things on the menu and there isn't one thing that I don't love. I just wish there was another Sarma closer to me in the suburbs. I would never cook again!!!

So hard to get a reservation at a decent time and yet the restaurant was not full.

Our waitress was unfriendly, not helpful with menu options and apparently annoyed when we asked where our food was (it had been 30 minutes after all).

Food was good, although less impressive than last time we went.

Overall, it was less than the experience we anticipated.

A good friend from out of town chose to meet there due to what she read about it being one of Boston's best. She and her sister were vegetarian and we ordered 7 plates, six vegetarian and the octopus. We all thought the food was overrated. Unexpectedly fried, covered in uninspired sauces, nothing special. Coupled with the noise, nothing special about the experience.

The food was delicious. Very inventive flavors and textures. The nonalcoholic cocktail was incredibly delicious as well. However, the frozen yogurt dessert left much to be desired. While the caramel and hot fudge toppings were very delicious, the frozen yogurt itself was bland and icy, and seemed to have been slapped hurredly into the dish.

When we entered the restaurant, it smelled strongly of something like mothballs and chemicals – very offputting. I don’t know what was causing that.

The restaurant seemed to be running a bit behind schedule when we arrived at their opening time. It took a while for them to seat us. However, once we were seated, our waiter provided excellent service.

The restaurant has cool decor and a fun festive atmosphere. Overall, we had heard such hype about Sarma that perhaps it was inevitable that we were a little bit disappointed. I think their sister restaurant Oleana is even better.

The new menu was extremely tasty, especially the pork belly sliders. However, we were extremely disappointed that during our 1.5 hour dinner there was 0 (none) special mezzi offered. New menu or not, that is what makes them special and it left a sour note on the evening. So upset we even skipped desert and went somewhere else for a nightcap.

The food was sooo good. It was nice that we had the option of adding an additional serving to some of the dishes since we had a party of 4. Our favorites were the gnocchi, cauliflower, and sliders. Would definitely go back and recommend!

Must make a reservation to get seating on weekends. Punctuality helps. too. Fusion with the concept of tapas and middle eastern food. Food quality was good, with interesting dishes to pick from. Service and ambiance were good, and i did notice a busy bar area.

This was our fourth visit to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was simply awesome, as usual. I remember how many times we've been there because every visit is a memory. The first bite of every dish was so good, I got emotional. I know, sounds absurd, but true. Service was perfect, dishes were timed perfectly. We ordered too much food to enjoy one of the delicious deserts, so our waiter brought us a free birthday toast. Very thoughtful. This is one of those restaurants we feel obligated to share with friends and family when visiting, so we'll be back.

We had such high hopes since we are fans of Oleana-- and we were incredibly disappointed. We tried five different dishes and the food was just not good. I honestly do not understand what people see in this place. We will stick with our other standbys instead.

We had four dishes. 2 good 2 bad. We asked the server to help us pick less spicey dishes and she said the shrimp and clams would be fine. Not so. Nor the veggie rolls.
The yoghurt dessert had little taste.
Best part was the wine and coffee.

Creative small plates that are Turkish/Eastern Mediterranean inspired like sugar snap peas in pistachio hummus with a refreshing hint of mint, plum salad, pea falafels in a lettuce wrap, curry-spiced beef jerky, etc. The cost definitely adds up as most plates are $10-$15/plate and each plate is only 4-5 bites.

There is a reason this is so had to get into - the food is inventive and fun. We loved everything we ordered. It is a big open space and I think it might get noisy, but along the back wall, with upholstered banquette, it was lively but certainly easy to talk. Listen to the servers - order only 2 dishes per person because the "specials," circulating dim sum style are not to be overlooked. You can always add more from the menu. We ended up with 7 plates for two and it was too much. Only four stars on service because it took awhile for our server to approach the table and then our food seemed to come out slowly compared with the table next to us. I think that once they start on your dishes, they prepare them all... the result was that we sat with no food and then had too much at once.

Still the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Artfully crafted dishes that are served by the kindest waiters and waitresses in town. We’ve been here 5 times this year and have yet to have anything but an incredible experience.

My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary at Sarma and had a fantastic time. The food was phenomenal and the menu is constantly changing. We love the special dishes that come out throughout the night as well! We got a sesame chicken dish that was to die for! And the brussel sprouts are my go-to!
