Great dining experience. Would highly recommend!!!
Probably the worst Caesar salad I’ve ever had. It was $14.00 and made up of all the yellow innards of the head of lettuce. No outside green leaves. You know, those spiny yellow ones you wouldn’t give your rabbit? I had an Italian pasta dish that was $30.00 that should have been $15.00? Our server didn’t make contact with us near enough times. I’ve been there before. Won’t go back..
When we arrived for 5:30 reservations we had to wait 10 minutes for our table. Took at least 10 more minutes to ask if we wanted a drink. Had to ask for the early bird menu (order before 6:00). Overall, overpriced and SLOW service.
We came with high expectations since the restaurant was Michelin rated, but they left us completely disappointed and unsatisfied. The food was mediocre at best. It came to Luke warm and under seasoned. The waiter was lackluster and not very helpful with ordering or checking in on us while we were eating. After we were done eating we ask for a to go container for my teen daughter and they just left it for her to do it herself. She ended up spilling the leftover food in her lap. I I’ve never been to a fine dining restaurant that doesn’t take care of packaging the left overs. For $190 for 3 what a joke, take your money somewhere else.
Service and food quality left a lot to be desired. Inflated prices left a bad taste. Limited knowledge of wait staff was an additional detriment to what was supposed to be a wonderful special occasion.
Great food and service. Seats were close together.
This is a special occasion place to eat in Monterey, pricy but a fine dining spot. The menu is varied, has seafood, pasta, steaks, all are amazing. Our meal consisted of , abalone soup, Caesar salad, and we chose to split a steak, all the food was delicious. The wine we ordered was not our favorite, so that was a little disappointing. The conservatory room is lovely, and most popular room. The servers were having a difficult time reaching our table due to both how close the other table was to us and a huge potted tree in the room. Maybe they need to get a smaller plant and space the tables further apart to help the servers. Since this was our first time coming back from Covid shutdown it was great to be back inside. This is a call for a reservation at least a week ahead of time to get a time slot you desire.
Splurged on the Abalone. Was fabulous but ouch $85.00. Service excellent. Would recommend
Wife and I went for our Anniversary. Amazing service and one of a kind food. Overall excellent dining experience.
Pleasant atmosphere. Great food. Recommend early dinner menu
Food was delicious service was great. Observatory is beautiful.
Prices are very steep. Memorable location and food.
Returning after 30 years and still very enjoyable
Was recommended from the InterContinental for the early menu specials. The food, service, and drinks meet our expectations. The atmosphere was classy and elegant. I will definitely recommend going forward.
Good vibe for lounge dinning and drinks. Did not eat in main restaurant but looks beautiful. Lots of variety in multiple menus.
Overall it was a great experience, the decor and atmosphere are exceptional. Food was enjoyable. The only offset was the wait time for food, we had to wait over 1 hour for our entree to arrive.
Birthday dinner! Was really good and the restaurant so pretty!
Having our honeymoon in California. Decided to try the sardine factory. Ordered calamari appetizer (the fritters could have been fried longer and calamari breading a bit soft and falling off), crab cake (it’s one crab cake and it’s just ok for the price), the bisque (no visible amount of seafood and not very flavorful), and Caesar salad (romaine red in the stems). Disappointed as I was expecting amazing food and it was just ok but very very expensive and so many items on the menu not even local. The ambiance is very nice and service was great.
Amazing place. Great vibe, service and the food was delicious.
Had a fabulous birthday dinner, great wine BOOK and yummy dessert 🍷
