Established in 1989, Sapori Ristorante - Newport Beach is a culinary experience unique from any other. Owner and chef, Sal Maniaci, has brought his firsthand knowledge of Italian cuisine to Newport Beach. A genuine Mediterranean setting coupled with experienced and knowledgeable waiters add to Sapori's authenticity. The remodeled patio featuring a fireplace and outdoor heaters creates an intimate atmosphere perfect for romantic and warm outdoor dining. Signature dishes include penne otero, farfalle salmone, scalloppine gorgonzola, and several other original pasta and meat dishes. Traditional Italian appetizers and desserts such as calamari fritti and tiramisu and an excellent wine list complete the menu.                                                                                                                   It was Ower anniversary 26 year I had rent a house on Balboa Island and got on line to find a romantic Italian restaurant I saw this one 5 stars read the reviews sounds go made reservations for 7:45 we arrived you walk through a gate into a dining area no host then waiter came sat us down next to a stack of chairs and high chairs and these double doors everyone came in and out would slam shut when people came in and out will never go there again when we visit Balboa Island .

Awesome to meet fellow paisans from our part of Italy❤️our new favorite restaurant!! Massimo could not have made for a more awesome experiences. Our meal was beyond 5 star!! Amazing!! Authentic!!!                                                                                                                   Service was great. Jose the bus person was delightful. Food was delicious. Atmosphere on the patio was wonderful. Overall, a lovely experience.

                                                                                                                  Sapori has been a favorite for us for 20 years. The wait staff (in particular, Roberto, Mossimo, and Paolo) are truly professionals - they make every visit to Sapori special. And the food is consistently excellent. These folks are willing and able to customize dishes for you. The wine list is well thought out, and affordable. The bar tender is amongst the very best we have encountered in the OC. How could all these things be true of one restaurant?! My wife and I dealy hope Sapori is around for another 20 years!!

                                                                                                                  This is our fourth visit to the restaurant in the last few weeks. We sat at a new table over by the windows inside, per my request because we were with another couple. Unfortunately, it was very close to the next table and the patron there had a very loud voice and dominated everything. But the food was amazing, the Arancini were off the charts. We know better than to ask for that table again. We have always had a fantastic experience which keeps us coming back.
