When I opened my doors in July of 2009, I committed to serving the freshest Italian dishes made from local and seasonal ingredients. I learned early the heart of Italian cooking is the flavor…or sapore. My school of teaching was from the best; my Nonna Elena and Mother Lia. Their philosophy has been carried on in my style of cooking: use simple ingredients and the food will speak for its self. Classic Italian dishes grace the menu but are personalized with my unique touch. Quality and consistency is what you will find with each dish. I would never serve anything short of that. So whether you are looking for a memorable night out or a glass of wine with friends, I am glad that you have chosen Sapore. We were there to celebrate 2 birthdays. Service was great; food was great. It got a little loud when young child decided to scream but that was not the fault of Sapore. We would go back again.

Always a favorite of ours. The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious. The Chilean Sea Bass is amongst the best I've had and their risotto is always perfect.

It was a busy Friday evening and other diners lingered over their meals. The hostess indicated a comfortable place to wait for our table, which wasn’t very long. Nice selection of menu items. My partner had Caesar salad and shrimp Amatriciana (red sauce); I had a mixed green salad and grilled scampi. Both entrees were served with mixed roasted vegetables. We shared a dessert of a lemon cake. All the food was tasty and presented well. We are definitely likely to return to dine at Sapore.

Since the first time we booked this restaurant on open table, we’ve been back almost every other week. My fiancé and I absolutely love the food here and everyone that works here. You must get the lobster ravioli! It’s incredible.

New Year’s Eve and Sapore had a full menu, and several specials. We were seated almost immediately upon arrival, and our server greeted us promptly. We split the chopped salad which was a hearty portion for a split, full of crisp, fresh vegetables and simply delicious. I had Chilean Sea Bass, one of the specials, and it was beautifully prepared, and done to perfection. My husband had Veal Alla Lia which had artichokes, peas and onions. One of the most delicious veal dishes either one of us had ever tasted. Our entrees were arrived hot, and served in a timely manor. A busy holiday, and Sapore didn’t miss a step. Clearly a neighborhood restaurant you can count on….great food, great service even with a packed house!

Outstanding New Years Eve dinner. Everything was well executed. The Sicilian style veal chop was the star. Probably the finest cut and preparation of steak I’ve had out. The Sicilian scallops were amazing and sat atop even more amazing risotto. The Caesar dressing was notable. Service was excellent without being overbearing. Our waiter Nori was knowledgeable with some helpful suggestions on both food and wine. Very nice ambience. Amazing experience. Highly recommended.

Their sauces are wonderful…..never too much of any single ingredient. Chopped salad is our favorite. The waiters are attentive w/o being intrusive, they work very hard to accommodate a specific request (level of spicy, anchovies, etc).

The food and service were excellent. It feels like the decor could use an update, and our table was too large for four. It was under a dropped ceiling, so it was too loud under there. Luckily the restaurant didn't have too many people on a cold weeknight.

The food and service were both good. However, the value and ambiance left something to be desired. Beware the prices of the specials! The special was DOUBLE the cost of the average entree and was a smaller portion. We had not asked, and were not told, the price of the special before ordering and were shocked when the bill arrived. We expected the special to cost more than the entrees on the menu, but not double. As for the ambiance, avoid sitting upstairs. It was very dark, all the walls and ceiling were painted black, and there wasn't much circulation.

What a terrific restaurant! Our food was delicious, and served hot. We tried two different veal dishes, and the salmon. All three entrees were excellent. We were met with a basket of warm, fresh bread, with oil and balsamic already prepared on our bread plates; cheese and pepper optional. The service was great. Can’t say enough nice things about this neighborhood gem.
