We love this restaurant! Make a reservation each time we are in HHI. Food is awesome!
One small issue, the table we had was too small.
We loved it! Great food, great service and very nice atmosphere. 👍🏻
Outstanding quality and preparation of ingredients. We enjoyed our meals here better than in Santa F, New Mexico .Of course, there was no blackened redfish anywhere in Santa Fe.
Yummy guacamole and I got the fish tacos. Excellent choice and excellent margaritas!
Great rooftop bar with guitarist; excellent pre meal experience. Food is delicious. Variety of options and that we have tried have been delicious.
We have been to Santa fe many times. Every time we come to Hilton Head we make sure
to go there a couple of times. I love the food and especially recommend the painted dessert soup!
Always a great meal and service at Santa Fe...
Good Tex-mex food. Nice atmosphere.
Everything was very good except the hot bacon dressing. It had a strange mesquite taste and was thick like a sauce. Would go back but would not order that again.
We always make it a point to eat here every time we visit HHI and it never disappoints! The food is not only delicious but beautiful too!!
Prices are on the high side, but the food and ambiance make it worth it. I could have been a happy camper from the guacamole appetizer alone!
Great option if you're looking for some Tex-Mex food. Delicious food and a nice change of pace. We really enjoyed it!
Variety of food is outstanding. Very friendly staff. Our group had the scallops dish and lamb chops. Both were very very good. Don’t miss this place
Great Waitress. Beautiful surroundings. Loud, possibly drunk, nearby diners. Food goodsnd brought quickly. We’d go back!
Best Mexican dinner ever, a bit pricier than a normal Mexican restaurant but well worth it!
Overall our visit to Sante Fe Cafe was a good experience. The Red Fish that my wife and son had was great. I unfortunately ordered the wrong thing. While the Ribeye burrito may be one of their most popular dishes, the fish was the better choice. I was originally given the wrong order which was the regular beef burrito and I believe it was actually better than the ribeye. We had Churros for dessert with coconut ice cream which.... a great way to end the meal!
First time here and enjoyed it very much. Great service, and food recommendations. We’ll be back.
Prompt, courteous service and able to accommodate a special request. Great flavor and freshness of all ordered items from an adequate selection. Highly recommend and will return....
Very nice restaurant with a variety of good southwestern dishes. The décor was outstanding. Our server was attentive and pleasant and very efficient. The entrees were delicious. We were seated on the second floor which was very nice and quiet. The only problem I have with the restaurant is that I made the reservation on Open Table and they never checked us in, so the points were not credited to our account. I contacted them after we returned home from our vacation and they said they no longer participate with Open Table, but they did at the time. They were supposed to contact someone and then call me back but I never heard from them. Not acceptable for such a nice restaurant.
My only regret is that I did not try the painted desert soup.
Everyone who hears that we ate there raves about it. My mistake for not trying it
Great food and atmosphere - I will definitely return. Overall a great experience
Great flavor fish was outstanding! Pork tenderloin was tender and flavorful. Oyster appetizer was great not over breaded.
Great meal, service and atmosphere!!
Had squab and tacos. Both were quite good. One of my favorite restaurants
Main items were good but sides left a lot to be desired.
This was the first time we've eaten upstairs at this nicely decorated restaurant (but indoors, not outside, too cold for us). The meal prices, at first glance, seem high; however, when you consider the freshness of the ingredients, the great seasoning of the dishes and the portion size they were appropriate. In fact, we took the left overs of my wife's fajita dinner and they were enough to fill two delicious omelets the next day. We were enjoying the quiet; however, as the evening progressed so did the noise level.
Painted Desert soup is reason enough, but the Blackened Redfish and Margaritas are outstanding too. Love the upscale ambiance of this local favorite southwest/Mexican restaurant. Nice for a date night or night out with great friends. When it’s warm, outside upstairs is lovely!
Our favorites restaurant!
Great food , service, and atmosphere. There is an outside bar and seating area upstairs where they play live music several nights per week. You can enjoy a nice cocktail by the fire as well.
I had to give only 4 stars because one in our party was not satisfied. The chimichanga & burrito we're huge, however the amount of chicken for the fajitas was minimal...a small airline chicken breast sliced had maybe enough meat for 2 tiny taco size fajitas (smaller than a taco if that's possible)😕
Santa Fe is one of our favorites on the island. Food is always excellent!! We’ve been going to Santa Fe over 25 years and highly recommend you visit!!
The menu is not a traditional Mexican food menu, but the rood as good. A bit pricey, but the service was good.
We made a reservation and was seated immediately upon arrival. Ask for 4 different drinks that they could not prepare. Our meals came out piece meal 1 by 1 -- about 10mins to deliver all four entrees. Food was good. There were dead flies on window sill - was kind of gross. Did not mention because did not want to ruin the evening.
The grouper is the best anywhere in Hilton Head!
The restaurant was crowded at 7:00, possibly because of early theater diners. Although our server was excellent, we waited over an hour to be served after ordering. Dinner was excellent! Probably need to be a bit cautious when choosing a time. We would definitely return.
Food was good. Noise level very high and restaurant very busy. For a VIP OpenTable customer I was given a terrible table. The table was immediately next to the front door and right next to the check in station. Not what I have been lead to expect from my OpenTable reservations. Very disappointing and I will think twice before using this restaurant again.
Try the blackened red fish! We come here every year and that’s the primo fish entree
Fantastic ambiance, best service and healthy quality food.
Was disappointed in the way the chicken fajitas were prepared. There was very little taste to the chicken and the fixings were not the usual that I am used to. I love Mexican food so maybe I’m a little picky.
My husband enjoyed his food choices, though.
Fantastic food! And the blackened red fish is to die for. Wonderful staff and wonderful food. Wish they would open up in Asheville...I’d be there every week!
