The food is mediocre and the menu is limited. We were not offered any drinks other than water, so not sure about the drinks. The waitress was very nice though. We enjoy trying restaurants we haven’t been to but we will not be returning to this one.

The shrimp was over cooked. The artichokes were mundane. The guacamole was heavy on vinegar. In short, the quality at Sanctuaria is much lower than it used to be.

This is a totally unique dining experience. Very eclectic place with lots of cool stuff to look at. The outdoor patio is really nice but there’s a lot of uneven walking. No high heels here. The food is interesting, but not as flavorful as I expected from the menu. Our server Foster was awesome. He was doing it all tonight. Waiting on Al the tables, bringing water, tending bar. Thankfully it wasn’t very busy. Overall good vibe and ok food.

The food here is amazing! The drinks are not the best and they are pretty expensive for them not to taste good. The drinks are also pretty small too. The place is decorated amazingly!! The courtyard out back is awesome too. Service was good as well.

Nice place for tapas in St. Louis Forest Park area. Went after 8 on a Saturday evening and had reservations, but that wouldn't have been necessary, as plenty of tables were available. Ate outside in the courtyard & our server was very accommodating. All the dishes we ordered were very good with the exception of the beef tips which contained quite a bit of fat. Tasty items included wine, guacamole with warm chips, beef medallions, glazed carrots and mussels. The mussels were prepared in a thick "Spanish-style" tomato sauce, so be aware if you prefer a lighter wine sauce. Overall, a pleasant experience.

We are fortunate to have had many great dining experiences all over the world. We recently finally got a reservation at The Girl and the Goat in Chicago after 5 years of trying. Even though TGG is Michelin rated, we enjoyed Sanctuaria MUCH more. The service was friendly and attentive, the ambiance of the outside dining area was very cool, and the food was tremendous. We loved Sanctuaria in every sense.

The staff at Sanctuaria was super nice and accommodating, the patio was nice, but to be honest, the food was terrible. We ordered large and small plates and they were tasteless. It’s too bad because it’s a nice concept. I hope they rework the menu.

The waitress worked really hard for being the only server so props to her and had to make her own drinks for 8 tables at once. They are understaffed and the food was mediocre to say the best. Drinks were disappointing.

Food varied - some dishes were very good while others were just OK. Generally, too expensive based on size of dishes. Service was fine. Outdoor patio looks fun, but band was loud so we sat inside. Biggest disappointment was Rose Sangria - like very diluted flavored water. Liked the general vibe and atmosphere.

Food was quite good. Our waitress was overwhelmed. She did a good job considering. Perhaps they were short-staffed. The only knock on this restaurant is the noise. It's so loud you can barely carry on a conversation.

Cocktails were great and the Sangria was also. Very cool atmosphere and was dark and lively. Bacon wrapped dates are a must try. The plantains with guava jelly and cheese were great too. Hint. Order extra bread when you order the shrimp or the button mushrooms. It takes a minute to get so order at the same time. This is a great place for date night or with a large group.

We had several dishes from the tapas menu and a dessert. The Devil Bites (pulled pork and cheese rolled into a ball and deep fried) were the highlight. We also ordered filet medallions and pork kebabs. Both the beef and the pork was poorly trimmed and had veins of fat and gristle running through the meat. This is especially problematic when you're getting such a small portion of meat (understandable when ordering from the tapas menu) and half of the portion is inedible. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The decor inside is odd--think Day of the Dead, or goth. The patio was very nice and neutrally decorated.

Made reservations ahead of time. They sat us right away. The waiter was very good but very busy. There were a few things that were unavailable to eat which was disappointing but everything else we received was good. Wicked good shrimp was good and spicy. Deviled bites, button mushrooms and asiago seafood dip was good. We also tried the salmon, pork tenderloin, strip steak, and the wings. Everything is good. The steak could have been better, but was good and cooked correctly. The outside atmosphere is great and would recommend.

Sanctuaria hit a home run on our Friday night visit. The small plates/tapas we shared were excellently prepared and presented and came in decent-sized portions. Love the funky ambiance and setup. Stayed in due to the warm temps but can't wait to try the patio. Service was appropriately available, although not a crowded night.

The bar and kitchen didn’t have it together. Ordered 3 drinks. One came in minutes, the other 2 took 15 minutes. One meal wasn’t brought to the table until everyone else was more than finished. Server did the best he could constantly. Food was good and a good price. But the place was empty on a Saturday night.

If not for our amazing waitress and the fact that we hadn’t eaten yet, we would have just left. Horrible unprofessional manager, slow food when they only had 4-5 tables, what a disappointment. What a waste of an amazing space. Small portions, mediocre food, overpriced half filled drinks, would NOT recommend.

Food & service was great. The waiter made gre at recommendations. The hostess called to give us updated options for seating time (group of 6). The bacon wrapped dates are fantastic. The sliders only came with 2 on the plate. We thought there should have been more for that sharable. Overall very good and I would recommend it!
