We were there for a 75th birthday for a party of 8. Arrived at our check in time and they didn’t have a table setup for us outside. So I repeated that it was for outside. They fixed it but it was in an area where the draft was pretty cold for us all. We asked for additional heaters which took forever for them to get a second one going. Our server was okay, but personality check was needed. We are a fun lively bunch with questions…so when your server starts saying “sure, I have nothing better to do “ when asked a question ya kinda notice they aren’t concerned with their tip cause they know it’s a large party and tip will be added. Sadly, what he didn’t know is we normally add more to the 18% already added especially for a great attitude and service. Which sadly, he lacked both.
Food overall was good. Skip the crème brûlée on the menu…worse! I have never tasted one like that before and I’m a pastry chef! Terrible. Everyone else enjoyed their meal and desserts.
We stayed to listen to the band and our server could have made some extra money but never bothered to come check with us to see if we needed anything. So we had to go into the bar and request drinks. Again, missed opportunity for the server.
We’d dine again especially if we are guests at the hotel. But again, I think their are better places to go.
