About
Samba has been at The Mirage Hotel/Casino for about 17 years which is about twice the average casino restaurant life expectancy. I've eaten there many times and my friends from Scottsdale were visiting and suggested we go there. That was very fortunate as I read on line and verified with our head waiter that Samba's will be closing at the end of August. We were just lucky that my friends visit wasn't next month. The restaurant has changed over the years. Originally they offered a single Rodizio dining choice that included all the meats, fish and pineapple (wonderful). Probably to lower their price point they currently offer two Rodizio experiences. They full one still has a wealth of selections although not as many as previously and the more limited Rodizio omits the salmon and filet mignon. All of us opted for the latter as there is no shortage of food choices.
The food was very good and the service was excellent as has been my experience. The margarita's have been scaled back in size but the taste is still excellent. Overall our experience was very good even with the noticeable cutbacks to control costs. We were all pleased with dinner and will miss Samba's.
Incidentally it will be replaced by a mid priced (for The Strip that is) Italian restaurant opening late Fall.
Great service!
The service was excellent, all the steaks were delicious.
The caipirinha wasn't the greatest, but someone who has not lived in or visited Brazil may not have any reference point and find it satisfactory. The most disappointing part was finding out once we were inside and ordered our drinks that it was not traditional rodizio with the salad bar, dessert bar, and so on. I was really looking forward to that. Samba is closing August 31 - maybe this is why, I don't know.
Weird vibe. Nobody was there. Meat was bland. Very disappointed.
We always have a good time when we go to Samba. It would be nice if the restaurant was enclosed so the smoke from the casino did not infiltrate the dining experience.
Service was very good always is.
Sad this place is closing. The filet mignon is awesome. Worth the cost for sure.
Awesome, Jason was too notch!!
The steak came around plentifully. Had my fill with no waiting. I appreciate the water choices. Last time we were given Fiji water and charged extra. This time they offered tap water first. I appreciate that. Will be back again.
So impressed!!! We were served immediately after being sat and the food just kept coming. In past experiences with Brazilian Steak Houses, I felt like it took too long to get something new and then I would fill up on the first thing and be disappointed. Not the case here!!!
Every single thing we ate was amazing. We did the upgraded experience and the filet alone was worth it. We were served good portions and everything was excellent.
Highly recommend! We will be back!
It was a return Trip for us, usually service is great, it was not the case this time. Our server was a nervous wreck, made for a frustrating evening, food was great!
Disappointing. Not a traditional Brazilian steak house (no salad bar). Servers were pleasant but there was a lack of servers so we felt overlooked - particularly as there was a larger table being attended to by multiple servers. We would not go back.
Food lacked flavor. There was limited staff, so meat only came around every five minutes. They were unable to meet my well done needs. The seasoning was not what we have come to associate with Brazilian steakhouse food. Overpriced for the amount of food supplied.
My wife and I had dinner before a show at the Mirage. The food and service was great and being carnivores we enjoyed the Brazilian style meat preparation and serving.
The service was slow for meat options & our server was inattentive for a non busy night. It took a significant amount of time to be asked if we would like more wine. We were never asked if we would like coffee or dessert after waiting a while for our server to show up after we were done eating. When I made the reservation through Open Table I answered that it was our anniversary. Why is this asked if it's not even acknowledged? We certainly were not shown any reason to come back.
Sad restaurant in
Foods fine, Brazilian grill price fixed.
One menu has salmon for $10 more.
Date ambiance.
Service is slow, inattentive,
need to be told to ask for another drink, how's your meal, can I get you dessert...
I've been coming to Samba for years, and I'm always happy with the meal and staff. The restaurant may be the last survivor of the originals at the Mirage. It was a bit quiet and lonely on a Sunday night-- we were one of only two or three tables. I was looking forward to a bit more lively energy for my date's first time. She has gluten sensitivities, so Samba was a great choice since only a couple items aren't GF. The staff was super friendly as always, the meal was good, and the side dishes were fantastic. I so want the plantains recipe! :)
Was on vacation in Vegas and decided to check this place out. We got there took some time to get drinks and then our salads were served late and the meat was served before our sided O'Shea came around. Was not very impressed
I have dined at many Brazilian steakhouses and this one seemed convenient since it was in the hotel where we were staying.
We asked our waiter to serve us rare beef. We were the only ones in there as we try to enjoy an early dinner. Every piece of meat we were served was overcooked and terribly dried out.
I spoke with the manager and he immediately comped our entire dinner for three people. That was more than I expected however soon as he did we received no more service. They didn't clear our plates refill our water or offer us anything else.
There are too many great dining options in Vegas to even consider a place like this.
Located on the casino floor it can be a little smoky but well worth the visit. The food was excellent and plentiful. We love trying all of the different brazilian meats. The salad and bread are also delicious. We also enjoyed the plantains. All staff was attentive. We really enjoyed our meal.
Awesome excellent food relaxing atmosphere bring a big appetite prepare to leave stuffed
This was a huge disappointment. We were supposed to have and paid for the meal with salmon and filet, neither of which were served. I believe there was supposed to be a Brazilian Punch , also not offered or mentioned. The side dishes were bland and mushy; garlic bread dried out and salad over dressed and wilted. The entire evening was a disaster with vanishing staff and over cooked food. Mentioning our displeasure to the host upon departure was a waste of time as he was too engrossed in web surfing to barely look up.
The food and the atmosphere was very good! the slot machines would get loud at times. our waiter was terrible! He did not give us cards to let the others know when we were ready for the variety of meat they were carving until we asked twice! we asked for more vegetables and rice and he took the empties and forgot to bring us more. the young lady bussing the tables was more of a waiter than he was therefore we tipped her and left him very little.
It was perfect for my family of carnivores :) We held my aunt's 80th and my wife's birthday and it was a group of 9. You accept the food that you want to try. Perfect for picky eaters and they tell you what seasonings are on the meats and vegetables. Highly recommended for any age group
Food was very bad!
Food and service was excellent. I don't think we had the opportunity to try all the meat options before we were full.
Really good Rodizo restaurant. Relaxed dining experience with friendly staff.
Had a half off comp from the Mirage and very glad we used it. Sat right away (thanks open table) and we're treated like kings!! Food was delicious and they kept it coming until we gave up in an awesome meat coma. Come hungry y'all, this place FEEDS you.
First time here for my wife and I great food all you can eat except they bring the food to the table for you and cut it off the skewers fresh off the grill fantastic food we has a great relaxing dinner and enjoyed the different flavors off meats brought to our table enjoyed it very much and we will dine their again next time we are in vegas.
We got there right when it opened and the food was hot and tasty. The turkey was a bit dry. Nice place to eat.
Enjoyed the meal, easy to make a reservation, lots of delicious options & a wide variety. Service was great and they did a good job keeping food coming and glasses full.
enjoyed the food and the range of choices for the meats. The price for the amount of food and the quality was a very good deal.
Excellent service from everyone except our actual server! The manager finally came over to take our order and mean began coming immediately! Yum! Getting drinks, sides - never did get a salad - and eventually having our server come to the table with our bill was like pulling teeth! We had to ask other servers (and the manager) for help! I wish I knew his name, but he never told it to us. I very much hope he has moved on to a more appropriate position - like cashier at mcdonalds!
THE FOOD AT SAMBA WAS FANTASTIC!
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Vegas. Its always wonderful. I make time to eat here every time I am in town.
Our group of 8 were in town for a fun getaway. No one in the group had ever eaten at a Brazilian Steakhouse before so what better place to try something new than in Vegas! We were all impressed with the entire experience. Our table host was very attentive and available and he even gave my wife the dressing recipe for the fantastic salad that we enjoyed!
I eat here last year and it was great. I took 10 business associates for meeting and was disappointed with the food and the service. they were very busy and we had to ask for someone to stop by with some food most of the night. the filet was so tough I couldn't eat it. the rest of the food was average at best. I would like to try them again and give them another chance because of the great experience we had last year.
Fun but you need to be ready to eat meat... a lot of meat. The food was very good but not really great. The lamb was a stand out as was the bacon-wrapped turkey.
Food was low quality, would not recommend.
Make sure you ask for tapwater. The waiter will just crack a bottle of Fiji Water and pour without asking and add $8.00 to your bill. Yikes! That's $8 for each bottle.
Every time we are in Las Vegas we eat at Samba and they never disappoint. The sangria is delicious as is the rodizio...the turkey wrapped bacon and grilled pineapple are our favorites. We always look forward to the Samba salad also! Roxanne, and all the servers, are great!
Every time we come to Vegas we have to eat their food is delicious all the workers are excellent !
