About Samba Brazilian Grill
For those of you who are not current or former gauchos who roam the prairies of Brazil, you might need an explanation of our style of service. At the end on a long day of work tending to cattle and stock, Brazilian cowboys (Gauchos) and their families would prepare great feasts. They would skewer various meats, roast them over a fire pit and bring them to the table for carving. There would be a bounty of seasonal vegetables, stews and salads using fresh ingredients from the fruits of their labor.

Samba Brazilian Grill Ratings and Reviews
we have eaten at several Brazilian steak houses though out the country. To be honest the salad bar is what draws me to them. The salad bar here by far was the weakest. only had maybe 15 to 20 items on it. Everything on it was good, just wasn't the variety we have come to expect. The food was all very tasty and cooked to perfection. The wait staff was friendly and the ambiance was very nice. It is located a block off state street so be prepared for the parking it is horrendous.
Meat was very tough. Salad bar was amazing, I would go back for just the salad bar! The women’s restroom was disgusting. There was only one working toilet, and that door didn’t work. The other toilets were clogged or didn’t flush. It was also cold and dirty. For the price of the meal I would have expected clean/functioning bathrooms and high quality meat. Also, internet said $35 and the price was $41.95 each.
We visited Samba for New Year's Eve. Their menu was over the top! We frequently go to Samba and enjoy the all you can eat Rodizio meats, pineapple and the Brazilian style salad bar. It is always excellent. For New Year's Eve, they changed up the menu to include duck breasts and crown roast of lamb to go with their pincanha, filet mignon, parmesan pork, linguica and grilled pineapple. The duck breasts were the best I've ever eaten! Not fatty or oily, just perfection. All the other meats were fabulous and they topped it off with a salad bar to kill for with several artisan cheeses, meats (like proscuitto), shrimp, the normal salads, olives and phenomenal desserts to include hand dipped chocolate strawberries and cheesecake. The staff was great as usual (a special thank you to Katie) and we can't forget the bartender who makes the best mojitos on the planet. If you haven't tried Samba, you've been missing a lot!
The host and waitress were very friendly and polite. The gauchos (people who served the second course) seemed indifferent. There are two courses. The first course consists of a self service all you can eat station including: salads, vegetables (both cold and warm), cheese and meat board, nuts, soup, bread, salsa, desserts, etc.). There are a lot of choices, I really liked the chicken curry cold salad. The second course consisted of various meats and grilled pineapple that is brought to the table and served off of a long skewer. When you want more meat, you signify by placing the wooden indicator up to the green side, when not interested in meat you place the red side up. I assume the meat selection changes, we were there on NYE and enjoyed pork tenderloin, sirloin, beef tenderloin, sausage, chicken drumsticks. There were other choices as well. It is a unique experience, but I felt that it was not relaxing as you visit the first course bar and then there is a continually interruption for the gauchos to stop by with various meats. You can eat as much as you want, but the portions of meat are small each time (understandable so food is not thrown out). We asked our waitress to have just certain meats brought to our table after trying several and unfortunately only one of the two requested arrived. So, our indicator stayed with the green side up and after awhile we kept saying no to some types of meats. Overall, a unique experience, but not relaxing and expensive considering you serve yourself and wait for the second course to be delivered intermittently. The bill for my husband and I was $90 and the only beverage we had was water. We left not feeling well as we don’t eat much red meat anymore. I wouldn’t recommend it to friends and will not return due to the cost and “hustle bustle”.
Return to Samba having been there several times. This time was for new year's eve and the first time we brought our kids. Many other tables also had kids - more than we've ever seen at Samba before.
Disappointed that the Brazilian bread/cheese bites (forget what they're called) are now left at the salad bar as they were not warm. This particular item used to be served to each table and were always warm which they need to be. My wife absolutely loves them and is one of the reasons we go to Samba.
The meets were pretty good as usual although we were also disappointed that they didn't have the soy marinated beef which is our favorite.
The Food was great - No real complaints. However, as far as value - I don't think it is any better than going to your average steak house and don't believe it was worth the price. In addition, I made the reservation in advance as this was a special night for me and my significant other, I had also mentioned in my reservation I would love to have our table candle lit. We arrived and were taken to a back/side room off the main dinning room and put in to a cramped corner table. I believe that a huge part of going out to eat is the ambiance - which we had none sitting in that back room. Was not able to hear any of the live music and the room was cramped and dingy to say the least. I was not impressed. Especially because there were PLENTY of open seats in the main eating area and the people who got there right before us had no reservation and was seated out in the main dinning area. In addition, our candle was not lit and we were almost done with dinner before anyone bothered to light it. It also took a considerable amount of time for them to come back with our drinks to the table. The food was decent, however, I don't plan on returning.
We enjoyed the variety of food and the quality food is always excellent. The servers are polite and responsive to requests for specific food. We just don’t feel the value is there for what was charged per meal. You could go to a restaurant and get a GREAT steak for less.
Great food, service, and atmosphere. The restaurant has a very cozy feel to it while giving you plenty of space. The salad bar was great and the servers are quick to bring you a variety of meat. A bit expensive but definitely worth the price. We both left full and satisfied.
Spent our Thanksgiving at Samba...couldn't have asked for a better day. Our reservation was on time, food was plentiful, service could have been better, but otherwise it was a perfect day. We weren't rushed and had enough time to catch up with one another. I would definitely have another one of our family functions here!
Reserved via OpenTable and requested a table for two with ambiance. We were seated at possibly the worst table in the restaurant (on the kitchen half wall, near the waiters water stand). The host was unpleasant, but the remainder of the service was good. Meats came by frequently, the salad bar was great, but for $42 a person, I didn't love every meat option that came by (and I'm a meat eater). I won't be back on my own accord.
Our experience this time was disappointing. Service was slow for a less the half full dinning room. The cold table was good but the meat portion was extremely disappointing. Cuts had almost no flavor, the meat was very bland as if there were no seasoning. Staff was friendly.
It was my Fiance's Birthday and 1st time experiencing it and he loved it. He filled himself up with so much meat, there was no room for salad bar or dessert. I liked the option of salad bar only and was full after only one plate. The cocktails were very well made. Nice, overall. I want to go again soon!!
