The food was way overpriced and didn't not taste good pork was dry salmon was not tasty no season drinks was watered down no alcohol in it and the waiter was races he didn't ask us if we wanted blankets when asked to get the heater bt asked the white couple next to us. It was so trash I wish I can get my money back
Really enjoyed our evening overall:) food was good, service was great. Love the ambiance. The menu is a bit limited and The food is pricey but you’re paying more for the great ambience. Well worth it!
We ordered cheeseburger for brunch. The burger was dry (over cooked), had tendon, chewy bits, mixed in. The fries were greasy, must have been re-fried before serving.
However, Chef was able to substitute the standard American cheese with blue cheese. So the flavor of burger was outstanding. Next time, we will inquire how burger is made, request median-rare, and get substitute for fries.
The server was attentive, we had excellent service.
Felt a little run down. Food and service were adequate. Limited menu, pricy. Probably won't return.
One of my favorite spots in the Marina. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for great views, good food and excellent service.
The ambience on the terrace is lovely, facing the marina. The king salmon was excellently fresh and prepared. But the service, while gracious, was a bit strange and slow. The 6'oclock dinner turned into a chilly spring overcast evening but for some reason the staff refused to turn on the gas heating lamp that would have made dining so much more pleasant. It was finally turned on when we were nearly done, and then not at full register.
The menu was quite limited and rather pricey. On a really nice note: my friend and I were each celebrating birthdays and we were treated to free desserts of great vanilla ice cream with fudge sauce.
I was told for Covid restrictions, there was a 90 minute limit for the table. Our reservation was for 11:00AM and we were seating around 11:10. Did not get greeted by our server until roughly 11:30. She took our drink orders, and addition to the drinks that were ordered we requested water for the table. Alcohol and coffee were served first and this was around 11:45, still not water. Had to ask if we could finally order just before 12:00. Not sure how they expect us to order and eat in 30 minutes. Was just ridiculous, food was amazing as always, but they definitely need to work on their service.
The bar area is extremely crowded and not very clean. The help seem to be disjointed in their messaging regarding where you can sit, mask/no mask (no one in bar wore mask) but we were not allowed to sit inside dining area where not one person sat. The valet parking is confusing in terms of same amount to park whether or not you valet and the waitress asks you for your valet stub, but takes nothing off for eating there.
The food was above average, one of the best places to eat in the marina and our waitress was great for dinner! Just a few kinks to work out post covid and it will definitely be the best place for fine dining in the Marina with spectacular views and great outside dining!!!
Salt has great ambiance. The drinks are the biggest attraction in my opinion
Very nice setting and food was good also. I would go again to try different foods, the waitress was very nice as well
Wonderful low key setting. All the food was great (especially the mussels.)
Great Scenery but disappointed they changed their happy hour from 4-6 to 2-4. Over priced unfortunately.
The pictures of the places does not look how it actually is . Old building and the food was bland !!!! My boyfriend had the smoke salmon and he enjoyed the flavor . I had the pancakes which tasted liked cardboard , the chicken sausage had no taste , cappuccino was awful and the potatoes were cold !!! I would not recommend .
Salt is a very pleasant venue, right on the water in Marina del Rey - but the menu is way overpriced for what it is, and the food was nice - but not amazing. The tomato and avocado salad costs $24.00, and came with (no lie) fewer than 10 cherry tomatoes and about 1/10 of an avocado; the seafood soup was also close to $20 and was a cup of very nice broth with 2 shrimp and 1 mussel in it. I’m no stranger to fine dining, but this is not what I would consider a fine dining restaurant, and the food quality simply does not justify the price.
Awful service and rude waiter . No accommodation of any kind. Anything we asked was simply “not possible”
I went there to celebrate a birthday. We decided to go for the $45 per person brunch. From the price point it was completely worth it. The food was very delicious and enough for 2 people. We actually couldn’t finish the last 2 courses as we were already full. The service was great! Our waitress kept checking on us and verified when to send the next course. We will definitely be back for brunch!
Great as always! Look forward to having dinner here again. Thanks!
Great customer service. Quiet. Very laid back. Will be coming back. Great wine. My suggestion for dishes would be the duck which new on there Menu or octopus.
It was cold outside, even with the heater. If we can borrow a blanket, that would make it warmer.
But overall it was a good time.
Food and service was awesome. It got quite windy and we were provided blankets. Overall a great dining experience.
Everything was great. Pretty sure I was charged full price for virgin drinks, but that's OK. Food was great, service was what you'd expect right after covid and them not being fully staffed. (Long wait for main course) Patio dining was amazing. We were even offered blankets cuz it got windy. I'm definitely going to look into booking a room next time and getting the full experience!!
good was not good, i stayed at hotel also and got it for room service if u want good food i suggest going elsewhere. jus being honest, nice view of the marina but the food and drinks were trash. try somewhere in santa monica like penthouse or somethin please do yourself a favor
They were out of 2 of the items on the 10 course buffet and the dessert was horrible and inconsistent with the other courses.
The pre-fix brunch menu was good, but diner should not be forced to order it. More flexibility is required to make this work.
It was my niece/goddaughter’s 21st birthday. We had birthday mimosa brunch for her at Salt. The food was delicious, and service was outstanding. We had a larger group of 7. The restaurant did all they could to accommodate our large group and sat us near each other so we were able to enjoy brunch despite the 6 person seating limit. Thank you Salt!
Steaks were good. Mine was a bit dry but my wife said hers was juicy. Drinks were good as well. Service was great.
Mediocre food, awful service.
Great staff! Beautiful location with a nice menu with something for everyone. The bartender was wonderful and kept tasty concoctions flowing. The food Brunch offerings were very nice and the food was well portioned. We will return in the future
There is minimum variety when it comes to food selection. To be so close to the water you would think there would be more seafood selection; wrong. I wasn’t impressed at all.
My favorite restaurant.
It was such a good vibe also the employees there was amazing
Perfect Covid safe environment! Great food & service!!
Wasn’t quite what the pictures online made it out to be ambiance wise...but the food was phenomenal, the drinks were great, service was great, and overall it was a great time.
Kinda pricey for little food you get...however, the food was delicious! The Clay Pot dessert could of been made of edible chocolate but it was still a cute presentation 🌱
Service was not attentive. Food was not worth the price. Placed us furthest from a heater even though there was open availability and we asked if we could move.
Really enjoyed celebrating my birthday dinner at Salt! Service, ambiance and the food (and of course the drinks) were perfect. We ordered octopus - tender with good flavor; Brussel Sprouts had a great sauce which added flavor; filet, scallops and halibut were all tasteful. We loved the crème brulet and pretzel dessert! I also stayed at the Marina del Rey hotel; enjoyed the stay and location! Thank you for a great dinner and stay!
The food is much improved! It's a great spot; sitting outside, it was lovely. But, FYI: It's pretty pricey!
Excellent service, Delicious food and great views. The weather was perfect.
Overpriced food; very small portions.
