The setting and ambience was perfect. The service was good but there were a few things that could’ve made the service great. 1. We ordered a bottle of champagne and besides the initial pour, I had to serve myself and table the refills. This is a basic service expectation at high-end restaurants. 2. I saw many women with very expensive handbags/purses on the floor because there was no where to place them. A small investment from the restaurant of no more than $2 thousand dollars for purse racks for each table would take our experience from mid-tier to high end. Food: I ordered chilaquiles and all I could taste was the smokey spiciness. I am Mexican and appreciate spicy but this was too much and no other flavors were tasted. I barely took a few bites and did not continue and our waiter never asked why they took a full plate of food away. I also tried the pancake and they were very thick and on the dry side. Tip for this dish - offer a small spoon if you’re serving the syrup and fruit compote in small bowls. It was very messy pouring those items from their containers. My table mates did enjoy the steak and eggs and fried chicken and French toast.

Got seated late, had to continuously ask to be helped including just getting us water. Drinks took for ever. It was rough.

Great atmosphere with harbor views. Slim menu but good options, we didn’t have much luck with menu accommodations. Family friendly

I seldom write reviews but feel compelled to write one on our Mother's Day brunch at Salt. We were seated promptly for our reserved table and ordered drinks and our meals. Our drinks came out one at a time over a 5-10 minute period. Our meals came out one at a time over a 50 minute period such that the first person was done eating before the next one even arrived at our table. I didn't receive my meal until after all three others in our group had finished eating. Our appetizer came out after repeat inquiries at the end of the meal. P.S. - my meal was given with an apology and at no charge but the meals were mediocre and the mood was ruined. Never were we even asked if we wanted a second beverage or dessert or coffee. Just a very poorly-run operation.

The hostess was so rude and unfriendly that alone was a huge turn off to ever coming back. The food was mediocre and two of the three dishes came out wrong . They never brought side plates or proper utensils . We asked multiples times and the lack of attention and poor service at this price point was unacceptable. I was very disappointed and embarrassed I suggested the restaurant for my birthday celebration. 2 stars at best .

I drove in yesterday to see the Clippers play the Nuggets did Los Angeles and was meeting a friend that lived in Marina del Rey and I hadn’t been there in 30 years and found this reservation or restaurant on OpenTable. The place was very nice. My date was about a half hour late, but we still had a reservation unfortunately she didn’t like seafood so a little bit challenging to find exactly what you wanted, but we did find a salad with chicken for her. That worked. I had some salmon fish is as well as some lobster bisque and some broccolini unfortunately, the broccolini arrive cold. They did take it off the menu. The fish was OK. I wouldn’t say it was great. I probably wouldn’t order it again and it was fairly expensive. We did have some margaritas that were very good. The server was very good and it’s a beautiful ambience restaurant. It wasn’t warm enough to eat outside and it was getting later, but it looked like it would be a great place to have an outside drink or eat as well.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review. We're glad you enjoyed the ambiance, service, and margaritas, though we're sorry to hear the food didn’t fully meet your expectations—especially the cold broccolini and underwhelming fish. Your feedback helps us know where we can do better, and we hope you'll consider visiting again, perhaps on a warmer evening to enjoy the patio experience.
